Casa Sarita was an awesome vacation retreat. The hotel staff were very accomodating. All requests or needs were met with a positive attitude. Casa Sarita has enough bedrooms to sleep at least 10 people. The view is spectacular seeing the ocean, monkeys, sloth, flowers and birds. The buffet breakfast each morning was delicious. The fresh fruit was amazing. I loved my trip and hope to go back in the near future.

Casa Sarita is a lovely residence, located on the hillside with an ocean view and monkeys all around. We even had our own sloth in a nearby tree. The home can accommodate many guests with several bedrooms and three bath rooms. It is very well-maintained and the daily maid (Jeanette) was great at what she did. We enjoyed our own private pool daily. There is a hike up the hill to the main hotel and restaurant so you need to be able to do that. We looked at it as our daily exercise. Breakfast was always delicious with good service. Best part: the howling monkeys in stereo waking us up in the morning.

Great house! Good location. We couldn't ask for a better place for our Costa Rican vacation. The monkeys are right outside of your house, as well as sloth and frogs. Be aware of the howler monkeys at night, they are true alarm clocks! We got to use the amenities of the Byblos Hotel, which was a huge bonus! There is a little beach 5 min by car that we went to quite often. The beach at manuel antonio park is the best though. Hire a cook, as its a lot of fun to watch the locals prepare something traditional and yummy right in your house. We didn't think any of the restaurants were that good, so the cook option was the best. We'll be back for sure!

Owner response: Monkeys, Monkeys, and more monkeys... We love our little visitors, and our big ones too. Those howler monkeys are a real treat to see, even if it is at 5 am. Luckily they only stick around about 15 minutes after they wake up. We hope to see you again, and maybe you will be lucky enough to see the howlers again!

My husband and I have been to Costa Rica a dozen times, have visited Manuel Antonio on several occasions but had never stayed there...we needed a change and rented Casa Sarita following the recommendation of a friend...thank God for good friends!! Casa Sarita is a large three-story rustic and charming house in a fabulous location, close to the National Park and a short drive away from several very good restaurants. Five of us were traveling together and the house had more than enough space to accommodate everyone comfortably...loved the stone bathrooms and the beautiful wooden dining room table! The outdoor area has a small pool and we spent most Happy Hours out there with a few bottles of wine and the white-faced monkeys...no kidding, they were hanging out with us every afternoons...we have several memorable pictures to prove it! If you're looking for a true Costa Rican experience and still want all the comforts of home, this is it! A special thank you to Jeannette, the housemaid, who keeps the house immaculate and makes it a pleasure to come home at the end of an exhausting day at the beach!

Owner response: Davis and I are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Casa Sarita. Manuel Antonio has a different pace than other parts of Costa Rica. You definitely need to unwind with the monkeys after a long day at the beach. We hope you come back again and we can get a chance to meet you! Pura Vida, Sari & Davis

Casa sarita was perfect for us! The villa was everything we expeced and more. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The fact that Casa Sarita was associated with the Byblos hotel really gave us the best of both worlds. We were able to take advantage of the hotel amenities, restaurants, pool, bar and guest services which made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend Casa Sarita to anyone looking for a great vacation in Manuel Antonio

Owner response: Davis and I are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Casa Sarita. The entire Byblos Family looks forward to seeing you again!

Family of 8 stayed here for a week. We loved our visit to Manuel Antonio and our stay at Casa Sarita was lovely. The house is set in a lush location with great distant ocean views and lots of monkey visitors everyday! The house easily accommodated our group and was comfortable and very clean. The pool is on the smaller side, but perfect to dip in after a long day of exploring. The kitchen is fully furnished and we felt right at home, evening cooking our own dinner one night and using the grill Casa Sarita is a great central location to get to nearby restaurants, hop on a bus to the beach, or head to Quepos. We were lucky enough to have our stay overlap with owners' time in Costa Rica and they were very friendly and immensely helpful- as is Melissa at the front desk of Hotel Byblos! They help to answer your evey question and get any excursions set up, hassle-free. We all would love to stay here again and were so glad we got to visit! (I would only mention that the house is down quite a steep hill if you're traveling with anyone older or maybe with any knee problems, but by the end of our stay, we conquered the hill!)Thank you for a wonderful family vacation!

Owner response: We always enjoy getting to meet our guests at Casa Sarita. We do love having Melissa and the rest of the Reception Team at Hotel Byblos to care for our guests when we are not available. Our guests do seem to be a little fitter after walking up the hill to Hotel Byblos for breakfast, or to use the larger pool. Thank you for coming, and please do come back! Sari & Davis

We LOVED Casa Sarita!! Everything is within walking distance or a short (an inexpensive) bus ride. Manual Antonio park, Spas, awesome restaurants, souveniers, night life at the Byblos....it was awesome! Everyone at the Byblos Casino treated us like royalty. We loved having all the amenities of the hotel including Melissa who booked all of our excursions but yet having the privacy of Casa Sarita with the pool and kitchen. We were fortunate and met the owners Sari & Davis while we were there and loved getting to know them over dinner. We have told all of our friends this was one of our favorite get aways ever (and we travel the world) and will definitely be back!! Thanks for everything and PURA VIDA!! Cheryl, Smith & the rest of the crew

Owner response: Dinner with this group was definitely a highlight of 2011! We look forward to your return as we haven't had another culinary genius invite us over. Thank you and come back soon!

This was our second trip to Quepos/Manuel Antonio and stayed at Hotel Byblos and Casa Sarita. Both accommodations were just amazing!! The bungalows are beautifully done and gives the feeling of your own little getaway. Casa Sarita is a gorgeous five bedroom three bath house that is spacious and comfortable. Loved sitting on the third floor balcony watching the monkeys spring from tree to tree to waking up to the howler monkeys. Sari and Davis, the owners of Casa Sarita and the hotel are so welcoming and so personable. We loved sitting down at the restaurant by the pool and enjoying their company at our table. Anything we wanted to do or had questions they were just a wealth of information as was their staff to setting up our tours to making sure our stay at their beautiful Casa Sarita home had everything we needed for our comfort. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and accommodating. The area is gorgeous and loved the visiting monkeys and all the wildlife this beautiful and magical piece of heaven on earth has to offer. I would recommend the hotel and Casa Sarita without hesitation to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing getaway to anyone that wants an adventure of a lifetime. Go and enjoy all this beautiful place has to offer. I promise you will not be disappointed. You will return again and again. Thanks again Sari and Davis... Pura Vida!!!! Kristi and Jim Montana

We stayed at Casa Sarita just after New Year 2010. It was better than our high expectations. Our party of nine pax enjoyed the amazing interior design and the tranquility at the Casa. The upper balcony was super for after beach yoga with a nice Gin&Tonic in our hands. The owner was very helpful to help arrange fishing trips and jungle-hiking. The breakfast was served at the closed Byblos Hotel. Nice restaurant with the best pizzas in the whole Manuel Antonio. Bosse, Sweden

Casa Sarita was a perfect choice for our family reunion of 3 familes (10 people with 4 children aged 4 - 10). From the start of selecting the home the owners were incredibly responsive and proved to be a great point of contact to answer all our questions and provide us valuable information prior to hitting the ground. The house has a great hillside location with a beautiful view of the ocean from the upper deck and is surrounded by trees. This is important if you like monkeys as we were visited on a daily basis by howler, capuchin and titi monkeys which were one of the highlights for us and the children, and made for great photo opportunities. We even had a sloth visit one day in a tree above the house. The howlers are nicknamed the Costa Rica Rooster because they can start howling and waking up at 4 am. It might sound early but with the earlier sunsets while we were there (time of year) we enjoyed it and it was a unique experience. The house is very comfortable and provided all the amenities to make us feel at home. One surprise benefit was that the local grocery store delivered for only $1 and we certainly used that service several times. Beaches are a short drive away and were great with gentle slopes. Lots of waves are also available for surfers and tours can easily be arranged through Hotel Byblos which is affiliated with Casa Sarita and is only a short walk away up the hill. All the tours we went on were superb and we recommend them all. The children had a great time on the Canopy Safari, the spice tour was interesting and informative, the surfing lessons were great and the tour of Manuel Antonio park with the guide was amazing. Note: go with a guide, otherwise you will miss 90% of what is out there. There is also a butterfly and reptile exhibit next to the hotel which is worth the visit. We flew into San Jose and rented 3 small Daihatsu Bego 4X4's and would recommend this for other families as well. The drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio is slow with 25 - 50 mph speed limits and takes 3 hours or more depending on the number of stops. The roads are not that bad. Just watch your speed and take your time because local police have many road checks alopng the wat in and around the towns you go through. It is worth it as the countryside is beautiful and gives you the opportunity to make other day trips or just do some local exploring and getting to some other beaches off the main path. Enjoy your trip to Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Casa Sarita is such a special place to stay in Manuel Antonio. This beautifully decorated home is very private, at the end of the street, overlooking the ocean. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or large group. We woke up each morning to the sounds of monkeys, and had the ultimate Costa Rican experience. The owners, Sari and Davis Henley, also run the Byblos hotel, within walking distance. The hotel staff was so helpful with planning activities in the area and also provided daily maid service at the house. We really enjoyed staying at Casa Sarita and so will you!

Our family of 14 just got back from a one week stay at Casa Sarita in Manuel Antonio. The house was immaculate and the maid service wonderful. Really neat stone showers. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere and had delicious food. Many good restaurants to pick from. Everyone was super friendly. We had five days of activities which the Byblos hotel organized for us which included horseback riding, jet skiing, snorkeling, sailing, rainforest, National Park tour, surfing, wood factory, and everyone's favorite the Titi Canopy zip line. We saw lots of monkeys from the balcony while reading in the hammock and it felt like we were living in a National Geographic movie. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the area. The breakfasts at the Byblos were great every morning and the coffee outstanding ~ just like the staff!

Owner response: We are so pleased when we hear our guests enjoyed themselves. One of the great perks of renting Casa Sarita is the staff of Byblos Resort is included for free! With Hotel Byblos being a short walk from the house, a great breakfast and a helpful reception staff are right there. As owners of the hotel, our guests enjoy this added feature with the rental of Casa Sarita.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Loved the location, loved the staff, loved the monkeys! Oh yes, and LOVED Sari! MY sister and I wanted to take our "kids" 21, 24, and 29 on one last trip before they were married. We picked the best spot. AC worked great, everyone in Manuel Antonio knew where Case Sarita was located, and our adult children lived at the sports bar at Byblos every evening before dinner. My 29 yr. old daughter who lives in NYC was in a taxi accident on the way to the airport so she missed her flight. Sari allowed us to stay an extra nite since the start of our trip was delayed somewhat. That is the kind of personal service you get from the Henleys!!! Stay at Byblos ....you will be glad you did. We returned several weeks ago from an incredible stay at Casa Sarita. We had our entire family of 10 - 5 adults and 5 children and the house was perfect for us. The staff at the Byblos Hotel was extremely diligent in helping us plan all of our adventures. The monkeys visited us several times. We had the trip of a lifetime and we would all love to go back again sometime. The children didn't want to come home!! Thanks Sari for such a beautiful home. It is just as pictured on the website. Also, Maria was a Godsend!! Thanks again. Carol and Gary Fritz

Casa Sarita was just the perfect place for our family. Is is beautiful, comfortable, and convenient to everything in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Sari and Davis, the owners, and the staff at Hotel Byblos could not have been more pleasant. They handled our tour plans and advised us about other local events to not miss, such as the local farmers market on Saturday morning in Quepos for the freshest fruits and vegetables. There were eight of us including our 5 month old granddaughter and there was plenty of space and bedroom privacy for all. The pool was especially nice in the evenings after our daily tours and adventures. We look forward to a return visit next year! Thanks for a great vacation spot for our family! Very best regards, Susan and Boyd

We stayed at the property in September 2007 for a week and absolutely loved the house and Manuel Antonio. The house is very comfortable and nicely decorated. Rock showers are a treat and the towels are wrapped as animals and decorated with flowers - very cool. Very nice views from the balcony and hammock. Exactly what you would want when thinking of a luxury house in Costa Rica. Lots of fun things to do neaby - very easy to coordinate through Byblos Hotel. Friendly staff. Lots of fun things to do in the area - beach, surfing, hiking, rafting, etc. All in all, a wonderful experience.
