This is a unique and charming, large cedar chalet-style ranch house hidden in the hills above the town of Napa, located on 20 private acres. Completely serene and secluded, yet only ten to fifteen minutes from the wonderful restaurants, wineries, and shopping of the Napa Valley Wine Country.
The main house has two large, master bedrooms, and a loft for sleeping. There you will find a mix of comfortable furnishings, as well as interesting antiques and art work. The wrap-around deck overlooks horse pastures, vineyards, and Lake Madigan in the distance, and that is where you will probably want to sit and sip your preferred Napa Valley wine while contemplating the sunset's glow reflecting on the mountains across the valley. You might spot the wild turkeys and deer heading toward the adjacent pond.
When you awake in the morning in your comfy Tempurpedic bed, you are unlikely to hear anything but the birds in the oak trees surrounding the house. Then you can carry your croissants and coffee out to the deck to start your vacation in your private wine country domain. From the rear of the property, you can hike up into the hills overlooking the whole Napa Valley, all the way to the bay. Or head off for a day of wine tasting, so that you will be well-stocked for the days ahead. |
