This is a unique and charming, large cedar chalet-style ranch house hidden in the hills above the town of Napa, located on 20 private acres. Completely serene and secluded, yet only ten to fifteen minutes from the wonderful restaurants, wineries, and shopping of the Napa Valley Wine Country.

The main house has two large, master bedrooms, and a loft for sleeping. There you will find a mix of comfortable furnishings, as well as interesting antiques and art work. The wrap-around deck overlooks horse pastures, vineyards, and Lake Madigan in the distance, and that is where you will probably want to sit and sip your preferred Napa Valley wine while contemplating the sunset's glow reflecting on the mountains across the valley. You might spot the wild turkeys and deer heading toward the adjacent pond.

When you awake in the morning in your comfy Tempurpedic bed, you are unlikely to hear anything but the birds in the oak trees surrounding the house. Then you can carry your croissants and coffee out to the deck to start your vacation in your private wine country domain. From the rear of the property, you can hike up into the hills overlooking the whole Napa Valley, all the way to the bay. Or head off for a day of wine tasting, so that you will be well-stocked for the days ahead.

  • We'd definitely recommend this beautiful Chalet and all that comes with it, like the friendly and decent neighbors that live in nearby. We are animal lovers, so the horses and pets added a plus to our stay. The location is perfect for a real vacation because it is not far from all the wineries on Highway 29 or Silverado Trail and you also have vineyards close to the Chalet. At the same time it is secluded and very private. Next time we will definitely consider going back.

  • We absolutely loved this house and everything and everybody that goes with it! We will be going back to the Napa Valley someday and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else! The peace and tranquility was amazing and if you're a nature lover, this is the best place ever. We also sincerely appreciated the friendliness of the people we met on the property. We're animal lovers so the resident horses and pups were a real treat for us. This is one vacation we didn't want to end! We'd recommend this property to anyone without hesitation! Irene and Stefan

  • We were more than pleased with this site for our family vacation. In addition to being fairly priced, it was clean, well maintained and stocked with everything that one might need (e.g. firewood, kindling and matches). The surroundings were gorgeous and the folks nearby were extremely friendly and helpful. This is a great retreat site for a family reunion or getaway!

  • From the breathtaking ride up the mountainside to this fabulous chalet...to the final night of the week under an incredible star filled sky, this wine country experience was perfect. A gorgeous, roomy, comfortable chalet with fireplace, decks, clean surroundings and a view that is heaven-sent. A wonderfully warm and accomodating host family helped make this a wonderful trip, in every way. We'll be back, for sure.

  • Our stay at the Ranch was incredible. The setting was picturesque, the location very convenient, and the house itself warm, comfortable and inviting ... and we were a large group of 6 adults. If we find ourselves in Napa Valley again, I don't think we'd consider staying anywhere else.

  • This property couldn't have been more perfect! My daughter and I stayed for a month. She had her own space to be a messy teen, and I had my space to have some much needed peace and quiet! The property is beautiful and the residents of the ranch are very friendly and helpful. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Napa. The location is close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away to have a little solitude if you need that. If I ever have the opportunity to stay in Napa again, I won't consider anywhere but this property.
