We stayed next door to this villa in a large pink villa oowned by an american doctor. It was our first time in mexico and we had a wonderful time. Cellestun is safe and friendly even the dogs are ffriiendly although they look extremeley ferocioius. We are English and speak no mexican but managed to get along with all the locals in a broken English sign languuage kind of way.We will come back one day beccause i have such great memories of Cellestun and the llocal people.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We spent a week during Easter at this great house. With 5 teenagers and 3 adults, we had plenty of room for everyone and all the comforts from home plus a wonderful beach right there. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended. Communication with the owners is great.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.

After watching the news about Mexico, we apprehensive about our vacation. That was all for not. When we arrived I felt very welcome and safe. Every person we met welcomed us and went out of their way to help us. Locals gave us great information and help in seeing sights and places to eat. A couple of the people that stand out are Alberto, Emilio, and Geraldo. What ever we wanted they made it happen from seeing flamingos to Mayan ruins they were a wealth of information. We ate wonderful local dishes, fish, shrimp, and conch. What a great way to get away from the resort atmosphere and see what the local life really is. The house was fantastic, stayed with our friends and had room for another six people. There were three bathrooms and two fantastic patios. A short walk of 100 feet and you are in the water. Great sandy beach runs both ways. Walk to town for drinks and dinner picking up seashells along the way. At times we had the beach all to ourselves. When it was crowded there must have been 8 other people visible in two miles. Sitting at the house and watching the sunset over the ocean is beautiful. This is a must do and see.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Perfect place to stay! VERY safe and we always feel secure there. Have NEVER had a problem! Very accommodating for our needs and wants, can get most anything we may want when there - just have to ask! Locals are nice and friendly. Would never be fearful to walk out on the beach or into town late at night or alone! Can't say enough about this perfect spot but just don't knock us out of our annual rental time! Really hate to tell to many people about this place because then it would be hard for us to get our dates every year! Owners are easy to work with too!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
