My sisters and I have been to this part of Michgan many times. The Homestead property is well laid out with lots of hills and trees. This particular condo is right on the river with a view of Lake Michigan. Even though we came in a bit late (10:00 P.M.) the condo owner greeted us. She also left us some things to eat and enjoy in case we were hungry when we arrived after our 5 hour drive. That was very thoughtful. The condo was roomy and had everything that we needed. Lots of towels were provided in the bathroom too. The location of the condo is great and the smell of the pine trees divine. Many thanks to our hostess!

We booked for a long weekend and had an amazing stay. The condo was very nice and roomy and had a great view with which to enjoy fabulous sunsets. The price was very reasonable for the amount of room available. The bed was comfortable and the unit was very clean. The owner happened to be staying in the condo below us and was really helpful in showing us where the kayaks were and giving us lots of insider information on what to do in the area as far as recreation and restaurants. Her love of the area is contagious and her advice really enhanced our stay. We are definitely planning on coming back next year!

This condo is very clean, well kept and very nicely decorated.. Peaceful, quiet, and serene, with a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan sunsets. All the amenities needed for an extended stay are hear. This is my perfect weekend getaway, but I plan on coming in the future for longer stays. Thanks Sandy. PS Next time I'll give you more advanced notice.

Splendid, Splendid, Very Splendid !

We originally rented this condo based on a friend's recommendation. Prior to that we'd never heard of VRBO. Now, we are totally convinced "VRBO is the way to GO". This condo is splendid beyond words and so is the owner of the condo. Condo is always VERY clean and well-maintained, the view awesome in any weather pattern, and the kayaks and canoe are maintained in excellent condition, too. We love it here, and we love the outdoors surrounding this place. We were also very impressed with the owner's responsiveness, attention and professionalism when we had one problem: the sofa was sagging/uncomfortable due to the broken sofa-bed mechanism beneath. We immediatly reported this to the owner and the next morning a brand new sofa was delivered to us! We were truly surprised and impressed, especially since this was Labor Day Weekend. Overall, we wouldn't stay any other place and we will continue to use VRBO. We look forward to our next and third visit here. All I can say is thank you for another SPLENDID, SPLENDID vacation!

I'm delayed in writing my review for such a special place. I try to make at least two visits a year. I have been visiting the Glen Arbor area since I was a kid (many decades now) and its beauty is unique and never ages...a place where time really just stops, and you will also. I have had the opportunity to stay in many places in the area over the years...yet after finding this gem stone of a private owner with prime big lake water front and rivers edge combo location, I prefer to stay nowhere else. I have introduced many close family and friends to this special "Dune" lodging location and owner over the years with nothing but rave reviews from their stays. I WRITE THIS A++ REVIEW ON BEHALF OF MANY who have stayed here per my recommendation. The owner really knows how special this place is and makes every attempt to ensure each visitor and each visit is comfortable and supported by great local people that care as well. If you’re looking for fast night life...every home luxury possible...waited on hand and foot, every toy, instant service...THEN this is not a place for you. This is a very roomy, clean, well stocked , well maintained and more comfortable place than any fast chain hotel setting ...It is a place where tranquility is the dominant theme...where the best of mother nature engulfs you and surrounds you with an incredible natural environment so you can stop your rat race and reflect...This caring owner understands the magic of this place and offers this special back to basics place at an increditably LOW price (in relation to the surrounding accommodations) for a TRUE quality and comfortable down time experience. A place where you can leave nothing but stress and footprints and recapture peace of mind. I'll be returning soon...so leave me some dates. Our Vacation in Glen Arbor Michigan-Tall Timbers D4 Condo

This is the 4th year in a row we stayed in this Condo. We are very happy here. We Love the Condo, the view and especially the owner. She sends us a packet every year with all kinds of information regarding our stay. She is very nice, helpful and very accommodating. The Condo is always VERY CLEAN upon our arrival. This is one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back. The Condo is completely furnished with everything we need for an enjoyable stay. The pictures that are posted of the Condo are EXACTLY what the Condo looks like. I would highly recommend this condo to my friends and relatives. Again this Condo is perfect for my family. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE!

Great Beach, Condo, Rates and Location. Perfect for us, again!

Our fourth family vacation staying in this condo. This time we brought my senior Mother with us. Mom rented the owner's Studio Condo directly below our condo. She loved the ideal arrangement. We all had an incredibly wonderful time. We love the views, the beach was sandy and sunny like the Bahamas, the river was like a big long swimming pool, and, as usual, the condo was very clean, quiet and well-maintained. The owner's rates are very good and the owner is very nice and professional. We all made good use of the kayaks, and we all used the tubes and body boards to float the river. We look forward to returning for our fifth stay in this condo. Our favorite places to eat dinner: the Bluebird in Leland, Boonedock in Glen Arbor. Favorite Breakfast: Western Grill and Harbor Grill. Other Favorites: Dune Climb and Inland Seas Four-Mast Schooner excursion.
