My friends and I (9 of us in all) stayed here over New Year's weekend.The owner was friendly and a pleasure to deal with - even when we were booking a very last minute stay! The house easily accommodated all of us comfortably, and was beautifully maintained. The view from each room was gorgeous. We were sad that the weather was so cool because the porches were spacious and offered wonderful views of the river. We also had lots of fun staying indoors - cooking in the nicely outfitted open kitchen and having group dinners at the large dining room table. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful stay in wine country.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

My family and I stayed in this amazing property over Thanksgiving. The beautiful house is built around a giant redwood tree and has fantastic river front views. Clean and well organized, we found virtually everything we needed on hand to have a lovely Thanksgiving dinner. The decks were large and would have been great to use if it weren't for the rain over the days of our stay. Even without spending much time outside, (which is the obvious benefit of riverfront property) we were happy and comfortable inside because the house is just that nice. We had fun playing ping pong and watching the birds around the river. The living room, bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were all perfect for our needs and certainly high end in fit and finish The only set backs were very minor; We were unable to use the two fireplaces because we noticed a back draft coming through the chimney and we didn't want the house to get smokey. This didn't really matter because the central heating performed beautifully. Also, the seat cushions for the outdoor furniture were moldy after having been left to the elements. This didn't affect us though because we only had one sunny day to be outside and the cushions were still damp from the previous day's rain. All in all the house far exceeded our expectations and we would gladly stay there again. The photos just don't do this wonderful home justice
