** UPDATE** Casa Margarita will be unavailable for rent during the last several weeks in May 2012. This time will be used to add on a new second story balcony and increase the size of the existing patio. This will triple the size of the outdoor living space. The work will be completed by early June 2012. Pictures will be posted in early June of the new additions.
Imagine waking up to the most gorgeous sunrise you have ever seen overlooking the Caribbean Ocean. Think about drinking freshly made coffee while watching the cruise ships go by. Sound good? Then c'mon down and enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches at Casa Margarita!
Prepare breakfast in a completely equipped kitchen, and enjoy it either in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Relax floating around in the private pool or in the calm warm water of the Caribbean. Lounge around under the palapa reading your favorite book and drinking your favorite cocktail. Casa Margarita is located on the best part of the beach in Puerto Morelos. Directly next door to Casita Blanca, Casa Margarita's beach is tractor cleaned every morning leaving you with nothing but amazing white sand. It is only a short 10 minute walk to the town square. There you can find all types of restaurants, markets, silver stores, and other attractions. You can´t beat the friendly, laid-back atmosphere of Puerto Morelos. We can arrange your transportation to and from the airport which is only 20 minutes away. Cancun is 30 minutes away and it's 25 minutes to Playa del Carmen.
Inside of Casa Margarita are five spacious bedrooms. Two are master suites- both with king beds- one upstairs and one downstairs. There is also a pull-out double bed in the tv room downstairs. Upstairs are four bedrooms - a queen, a full, the king master, and the newly built 5th bedroom. The full also has a twin bed in the room. **UPDATE: Construction has just been completed (August 2011) on the 5th bedroom. This huge room boasts a king-sized bed, pull-out couch, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee pot, 37-inch flatscreen tv, and hot/cold water dispenser. All bedrooms have private bathrooms. Ceilings are all 12 feet high giving Casa Margarita an even greater open and spacious feeling.
A very large living area looks out onto the pool deck and overlooks the ocean. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, granite countertops, a water cooler, and all the utensils and cookware needed to prepare your favorite meal.
A 55-inch LG LED tv is in the living area. Parents will enjoy the separate downstairs tv room for the kids that contains another tv/dvd player. As mentioned, the new bedroom upstairs has a 37-inch flatscreen.
Washer and dryer - along with an iron and ironing board - are in the home for your added convenience.
Caretakers Adrian and Reyna cater to your every need. Reyna cleans twice a week and Adrian ensures that the grounds are a tropical paradise. Roberto and Selene, the property managers, are always there to make sure that this vacation will be your best ever!

Year Purchased: 2011
We purchased Casa del Sol, right next door to Margarita, in 2010. We worked for a year to make it the perfect beach house for our family....huge infinity pool with grand pool deck, rooftop terrace, balconies, porches, tropical vegetation. It is our little slice of paradise. Then in April 2011, Casa Margarita came up for sale. We just couldn't resist this beautiful home. We have since worked to make it the perfect spot for a large group gathering. Come down and see for yourself. You'll never want to leave!
We live in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. Jerry owns a glass business in Dallas and Meta is a third grade teacher in a small town east of Dallas. Brett & Bradley, 24 and 25, work with Dad. We LOVE the Dallas Mavericks, enjoy hunting, fishing, traveling, and, of course, going to Puerto Morelos!
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos
We have enjoyed traveling to about 15 all-inclusive hotels in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area. We stayed at H10 in 2009 and loved walking into the town of Puerto Morelos. The next summer we decided to rent a condo at Casita Blanca for the month of July. We fell in love with the quaint town and bought Casa del Sol before returning to Texas. Located halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos is a charming little fishing village. The small town atmosphere, the wonderful people, the delicious food at the local restaurants, and beautiful Caribbean waters made the decision to purchase this property extremely easy to make!

We have had several vacations in Puerto Morelos and staying at Casa Margarita made this visit very comfortable. The house exceeded our expectations. We instantly felt right at home and were sad to leave when the time came to go. Roberto was there to answer questions and Adrien and his wife kept the yard and house in top shape at all times. Our kids were in the pool almost every spare moment. It was also nice to be able to snorkel right off the beach in front of the house. If you've never been to Puerto Morelos it's worth a visit and this is the way to go. I highly recommend this house.

Our group of women loved this gorgeous villa right on the beach. The entire place is so beautifully decorated and well-appointed. The kitchen is spacious and perfect for a group to cook in. All the rooms are so 'beachy" and warm and lovely in every way. We never wanted to go home, but just to stay and relax in this awesome place. We especially appreciated the short beach walk into town. It was so convenient. We can't wait to come back in a few months.

This is 3rd trip to PM & 2nd stay in this house. Big improvements have been made in the home since our last visit. 3 couples & 1 child with plenty of room to spare. This past trip's weather was hot & humid, so we did use the pool alot. My 4 yo loved it! The pictures really don't begin to show how nice it is. There are plenty of towels/bedding/pillows, the kitchen is well stocked & washer/dryer make packing light easy. You're close enough to walk into town, although if your picking up ice, grab a taxi. There is so much to do in the area, or nothing to do- whichever you prefer. Roberto & Adrian, the manager & caretaker, are terrific! Completely unintrusive, but there if & when you need them. Stay here, sit on the pool wall looking out over that gorgeous beach & sea, and you'll know you're in the best spot in Puerto! Happy vacation!

We just returned from Puerto Morelos and our stay at casa Margarita and Casa del Sol. It was amazing!!!! Our small business takes women on self-care trips to the Yucatan and we hosted 8 women in the 2 houses. The houses were georgeous and everything exceeded our expectations !!! Everything well appointed and maintained ;the spot on the beach and the infinity pool divine;kitchens with everything you could want;spacious and beautiful but relaxed. We have booked our next trip in March there and can't wait to get back! The owners and managers are wonderful and the fishing village down the street is casual and low key and totally delightful. We stayed here in February of 2009... Three couples.. place had lots of room, well maintained. Roberto was wonderful. The beach, pool accomodations were great. Was an easy walk to the town square for supplies and great resturanrts... Have recommended this place to a number of people who also have stayed here and loved it... We will be back some day... Close enough to Cancun and PlayDel Carmen, (about 30 minutes from each), yet with all of the charm nad lack of crowds in PM. From the cold winters in Winnipeg to the wonderful warm and inviting beaches in Puerto Morelos... PRICELESS!

Our family (2 adults and 2 children) plus our friends (2 adults 3 children) just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! Meta, the owner, was lovely to deal with over email before the trip ensuring every request we had was taken care of. Robert, the property manager, was awesome while booking as well as during our stay. He took care of everything we needed immediately. He even bought a phone while we were there to put in house and programmed his number in it so we could call him at anytime. He really was an asset to this property. He arranged a cook, Nina, to cook 3 dinners for us. They were so good! Our kids could not get enough of her cooking. I would definitely recommend her if you are staying as she was so reasonably priced and the food was authentic. We even asked for some recipes. The house was great with 5 very large bedrooms (4 upstairs, one on main level which we did not even use). The pool was perfect for the 5 kids. There was lots of shade in the yard and on the pool decks all day which was nice. Adrien, the care taker, arrived each morning to clean the pool and set up our chairs and umbrella on our fenced in beach (a plus when you have small children) . Although he did not speak much English, he worked hard to make sure that we had everything we needed at all time. We inquired if there were beach toys for the kids and Meta made sure there were tons of toys there when we arrived! We walked into the town every night with the kids. It was about a 15 min stroll down the beach. We were there off season so the beach was empty most days which was so nice. We really had a great time and will definitely plan to come back soon! Thanks again for everything!

I was here with a group of 6 during mid-March 2010: we were so impressed! Here is why this place is a NO BRAINER: Every bedroom has as balcony/patio with ocean view and its own bathroom Private Pool 30 second walk to the Ixchel Beach Bar Golf Cart 5 minute walk to the Town Square ADRIAN and REINA the caretakers Drinking water provided We'll be coming back I'm sure!
