This beautiful home on Bass Lake offers the serenity of a secluded cabin, water activities of a lakefront property, and vacation pursuits in the nearby towns of Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, and Nisswa. This chalet style cabin has cathedral ceilings with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Bass Lake to the south. The master bedroom suite is located in the loft – imagine awakening and sitting up in bed to overlook the lake past your feet. Incredible!
The cabin has 3 BR (master has queen bed; 2nd has double; and the 3rd has bunk bed with double down and single up). There are 2 BA with a full bath downstairs and a ¾ bath in the master loft. The great-room includes a living room with TV, DVD/VCR and gas fireplace; dining room that seats 6 people at the table and 4 at the bar, and the kitchen is full service with microwave and dishwasher.
Many activities are available on site, from fishing or swimming off the dock, playing croquet on the spacious lawn, soaking up the sun while reading a great book, or just taking the time to enjoy watching wildlife that is active on the lake every day. Books and games for all ages are provided.
Should you choose to leave the quiet and serenity, we’re located just minutes away from several vacation towns including Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, and Nisswa. These towns are known for their many and varied vacation activities. From miniature golf and waterslides, to a historical log village and local art shows, you won’t have to travel far to find your favorite pastime. The shopping in each town is unique with quaint gift and antique stores as well as one-of-a-kind specialty shops.
Numerous 4-star golf courses are found close by, with the Whitefish Golf Course less than 5 miles away!! If a different method of swinging is more your style, you could play tennis at the Crosslake Community Center or various other sites. You even have close access to the famous Paul Bunyan Trail with 100 miles of paved scenic trail, welcoming bicyclists, hikers, and roller-bladers alike. The larger city centers of Brainerd/Baxter are approximately 25 miles away.
To learn more about Bass Lake itself, interested parties are encouraged to visit the DNR website at dnr.state.mn.us Simply choose the 'Lake Finder' option and search for lake number 18035800. This site will provide information about water clarity, topography maps, public boat access sites, and much more. Bass Lake is located just south of the Whitefish Chain on a separate chain of lakes including Kimball and Ossawinnamakee.
