Fantastic Downtown Experience

We stayed at this loft for 5 nights with family and friends to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. We have stayed in numerous hotels and B & B's in Asheville over the past 4 years and we can only say we wish we found this loft sooner! It was a perfect gathering spot. We were steps away from all of our favorite resturaunts and it was also a great retreat when we needed down time. It is better than it appears in the photos which is always a welcome surprise. The resturaunt downstairs does have live music but it is early enough in the evening that you are either out during that time period or it is pleasant to listen too! We parked our cars in the Rankin Garage for the majority of our stay and walked to everything which was a real change of pace and totally enjoyable. As an owner of other vacation rentals we truly appreciate the thought and attention to detail. This is a great vacation rental! Must Visits: Curate...Table...Early GIrl....Over Easy...Chocolate Lounge....Salsas...Bouchon and dont forget to go shoe Shopping at Tops!

We were "property rental virgins". (Always stayed at a hotel) After this experience, we will probably not stay at a hotel ever again. 55 Patton was beyond words. Beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. Extremely comfortable and the location was superb! This place lived up to the write ups and then some. Staying here, made our trip to Asheville, NC amazing! We definitely plan on returning!!!

What an awesome loft! The pictures don't do it justice. And the location is the absolute best. We were here for a UNC-Asheville visit with our daughter and turned it into a getaway weekend thanks to Eli's loft. Really, you won't need a car to do anything from this home location. So many shops, so many places to eat tasty food! Thanks Eli!

The loft was incredible and plenty of space for our party of four. Furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. Bedrooms, closets and baths were spacious and the ktichen was well equipped. The location for experiencing all downtown Asheville has to offer was superb! We parked the cars and walked everywhere. Will definitely book this location again and again!!!! Beautiful artwork too.

35 Patton Redefines Perfection

Think of the most perfect place you've ever enjoyed. Then stay at the loft at 35 Patton. Your experience there will redefine perfection! We selected 35 Patton not only because of the splendid downtown Asheville location but also because of the gorgeous online photos of the loft. Trust us: the photos pale in comparison to the loft itself. The loft is exquisitely decorated throughout, with no detail left unattended. Fabulous artwork! Decor that captivatingly combines antique, modern, American, and European! Beyond that, the loft is fabulously appointed. Luxurious bedding and linens. Exquisitely equipped kitchen. We consider ourselves amateur" chefs," and we had everything that we needed to do some gourmet cooking. We loved the fact that the loft is split level, and we loved being able to enter the loft from either College Street or Patton Street. What mattered most to us, though, was not just the perfection. It was also the fact that the loft made us feel right at home. We salute Eli Corbin for create an atmosphere that exudes warmth and welcome and for being so cordial and helpful, both before and after our visit. Again, 35 Patton redefines perfection! The pictures on the website are beautiful, but the personal experience of the beauty of the loft is a definite "WOW" factor. The owner has decorated and appointed the loft with only the best of the best in every aspect. The owner was quick to respond to all our inquiries. We went to her art studio to meet her and it was very apparent to my husband and me that they beauty of the loft reflected the beauty of the owner. The location of the loft makes it extremely convenient to everything in downtown Asheville; however, the location (directly over the Lobster Trap) also means that evenings are impacted from the noise of the restaurant. If you will be out in the evenings, it won't be a problem. If you want to stay in it is a factor you need to consider. Overall, if you want to stay in downtown Asheville, this is a beautiful place to do it.

Owner response:I make it a point to explain to all my potential guests that this loft is above the Lobster Trap restaurant. The Lobster Trap plays dinner music 7-9pm and closes at 11pm. You can hear the music in the loft. I want all my guests to know this before they make a commitment to stay. Most people say they plan to be out during this time and/or they don’t think the music will bother them. The majority of the people who have stayed at this loft have been extremely happy, and the other guest comments will attest to that….please read the other comments below. If quiet is what you are looking for during your stay in Asheville, please consider the smaller loft next door to this one VRBO # 175090 or the Ivy Cottage VRBO# 104929, which is only a couple miles from downtown, near the Grove Park Inn.

I think it has all been said in other reviews. Great location, great space--lots of light and artwork---all positive. Salsa (restaurant) was out of this world, and we can't wait to go back and try other restaurants and listen to music at many venues.

The loft at 35 Patton is even better than the pictures. Once you follow instructions on getting the keys and getting in, you will be blown away by the details of this expansive loft. Just be sure to get off the elevator on the right floor, or you will be standing in front of some shrimp scampi in the Lobster Trap! This is truly a unique experience, being in such an incredible downtown location only 2 blocks from Pack Square. The kitchen is amazing, as well as the sunken living room space. Both bedrooms are great sizes, with huge bathrooms. On the weekend, we parked the entire time at the Asheville Savings Bank lot for $3 per day. The lot is visible from the large windows over the living room. If you want a great location as "home base" to explore all of the great restaurants, bars, breweries, galleries and shops this is the place. We will definitely stay here again, hopefully very soon.

I couldn’t believe how beautiful this place was when I walked in the front door. The loft seriously took my breath away. I had seen the pictures online, but they just didn’t capture the overall effect of the loft, especially how spacious it felt. The rooms were all decorated with beautiful artwork by the owner and lavish decorations. The loft was very clean and smelled wonderful the whole time we were there. The location is amazing. It is right in the heart of downtown Asheville. It was great for us to stop there in-between shows at Moog Fest. The loft was very secure. You had to go through 3 steps to get inside. My husband & I would definitely stay here again. You truly do get what you pay for with this place. Also, the owner was really great to work with.

A perfect stay...

Many rentals are furnished with leftovers from previous guests or the owner's home. It is clear from the moment you walk in that is not the case here. From the coffee grinder, to the fact that most appliances have their instructions, no detail is too small. The walls are decorated with original art, mostly by the owners. That, plus the comfortable, modern furniture make this place comfortable, as well as beautiful. The pictures are very accurate, except that they don't convey how large the place is. We used to stay in bed and breakfasts, but found ourselves driving into the downtown two-three times daily. Now we park are car and walk to almost everything. A terrific restaurant, The Lobster Trap, is located in the building. Table, one of Asheville's best, is across the street. You are half a block away from Pritchard Park, where you can spend hours people watching. My recommendation is after you've tried a B&B, a downtown loft is the way to go. If you're going to rent a loft for a short term stay, then they don't get any better than this one.

Each detail is attended to, from extra, thick towels to every kitchen kitchen implement you can imagine. You don't need to bring anything - except clothes. The photos speak for themselves; the loft is gorgeous and immaculate. I'd love to live there! Having the spa right downstairs was a bonus, as well as the discount that's offered to Eli's renters. Everything is within walking distance. Some of my favorites: restaurants Curate, Limone and, for gluten-free, Posana. French Broad Chocolates is not to be missed, as well as Tops for Shoes, featuring every variety of "healthy" shoes for walking and athletics. I recommend the loft without reservations.

Wonderful Downtown Condo

What a wonderful "girl's get-away"! This loft was everything we hoped for, and more. Beautiful, spacious, spotless, filled with interesting artwork, and located right in the heart of downtown and convenient to everything. Loved walking around Asheville, and also enjoyed touring the Biltmore House and Village. Eli's (owner) very helpful suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try were perfect (Tupelo Honey for breakfast and/or lunch, Corner Kitchen for lunch, and Rezaz and Salsa for dinner, and more). Only wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll do that next time... we are looking forward to coming back soon!

A fabulous Downtown Condo Rental

My wife and I rented this condo for a relaxing weekend in downtown Asheville. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The condo had everything we needed! The location above the Lobster Trap on Patton Ave made walking to restaurants and bars super easy. Asheville is famous for it's locally owned and operated restaurants. I cannot say enough good things about this loft. Extremely comfortable, impeccably decorated, incredibly clean...it exceeded all of our expectations. We were able to easily walk to every restaurant and shop that was on our list of things to do during our long weekend stay. The owner is very professional, had lots of great tips for things to do, and was prompt and responsive anytime I had a question related to the rental. Asheville is one of my favorite places to visit, but this loft is one of my favorite vrbo rentals ever, regardless of city. I will recommend this property to friends and family and I myself will definitely be back again soon!

We have stayed in few places that were as comfortable as it was stunning. We had the opportunity to meet Eli, she is as elegant as her property. The furniture, the art, the location all first class. Eli is a talented artist and she has approached this loft in the same creative and loving way she approaches her art. Just like art, it is how you interpret it. I stayed here for a girls trip and had a fabulous time. The condo is beautifully decorated with no details missed and is in an ideal location. So close to the heart of downtown Asheville which offers great restaurants and boutique shopping. I loved the Mexican restaurant Salsa just a block away, If you can handle intense heat, try the Jalepeno Margarita - still think of my meals there. Took Asheville Food Tour which is a great way to taste many restaurants in the downtown area. Biltmore's a must as well. The Chamber of Commerce is a great way to start your trip. Nicest chamber I've been to. Trying to figure out how I can get back to Asheville and the condo at 35 Patton.

My family had to scale back our planned beach vacation due to a scheduling conflict and I was afraid nothing nice would be available at the last minute. What a lucky bit of bad luck for us. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful space. You often worry when booking online whether the space will be anything like it is depicted but here what you see (although quite nice) is not as good as what you get. We typically book two hotel rooms but this space is so much nicer. It feels like home but better. We have been contemplating a move to our downtown and this visit gave us a taste of what it might be like. The loft is beautifully decoracted and in a fabulous location. The original art work is stunning. Eli went above and beyond to accommodate our needs at the last minute and we had a wonderful end of summer stay. I'll be back and will tell all my friends, too. Once you arrive you don't need a car and one of my favorite shoe stores anywhere is just out the back door!

A childhood friend of mine and I make time to visit in May each year, always with a new destination. This year we chose Asheville, NC and we so pleased to find the Loft. The location is close to the airport, and walking distance to great downtown amenities. The loft is so well decorated and beautifully furnished, very well equipted and spotless. We were greeted with many wonderful suggestions of restaurants, sights and events. Especially loved the Spatheology spa just a few doors away. I would absolutely suggest this for anyone wanting to gather in a cool town, with these amazing accomodations. When can we go back?!!

In planning a last minute trip to Asheville, we were disappointed that the mountain cabins we were interested in were all booked. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we absolutely loved staying in this beautiful loft! It was clean and comfortable, and with a great downtown location, we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. WOW! We were overwhelmed with the beauty and warmth of the loft at 35 Patton Street. It is in a fantastic location, it has all the comforts of home (and more) and it is convenient to EVERYTHING. No detail is overlooked and everything was exactly as described in the listing. The beds are incredibly comfortable and we truly enjoyed making a "home" cooked meal and eating in the beautiful dining area. The loft is within walking distance of many of Asheville's great restaurants, shops and galleries. And is only 10 minutes from the Grove Park Inn or the Biltmore Estate. Spa Theology is a fantastic spa, right next door, and it is a great value. I will be sure to stay at the Loft for future visits and will recommend it to friends!

The condo exceeding all of our expectations. It was spotless, beautiful, roomy and had all (or more) of the amenities of home. The location was superb and most convenient. At the same time, we couldn't believe how quiet it was. The beds were luxuriously comfortable. It's a great value for the money. We would recommend with no hesitation! It was almost better than being at home. We ate breakfast every morning at the Green Sage restaurant, a mere 1.5 blocks away which was scrumptious. If we had stayed longer, we would have cooked at the condo though as the kitchen was better equipped than most homes and it was beautiful. Don't miss out on the French Broad Chocolate Cafe which is less than a block away. To sum up, we won't stay anywhere else when we return to Asheville!

I came to visit Asheville and the mountains but I ended up spending most of my time visiting Downtown so I could spend more time inside enjoying the loft! I'll have to come back again to see what else Asheville has to offer and of course this location will be where I choose to stay. Thanks for being even better than the pictures!

Highly recommend this loft/condo. Everything was top notch. Great deal of attention to detail.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The loft was wonderful. Everything you could possiably need was right at your fingertips. The beds were exceptional and the furnishings very tasteful. Thanks for a great trip!

"What a wonderful place to experience Asheville! It was great being right downtown within walking distance to everywhere. The condo was exquisitly decorated, but yet warm and cozy, with all the comforts of home.
