"Happy Our's Lodge" is a luxury home and well appointed in the Adirondack style (don't be discouraged by the yellow walls, they are NOT that bright - pictures are not a true color)with beautiful wooded views. Not only are you in a great home, but you can enjoy one of the BEST membership parks on the lake durning summer months. A private 3.3 acre lakefront park with beaches, piers, buoys, designated swim areas, wifi, picnic areas with barbeques, large lawn areas and beautiful flower gardens, sand volley ball and basket ball court, kid's playground area, changing rooms and restrooms, kayak's, etc. The lake and mountain views from the park are spectcular. You can even dine at the Sunnyside Resort and Marina next door and watch your children play at the beach from your table on the deck.
Our home is located on a level lot that backs to trees and natural landscaping. Remodeled throughout with "mountain" touches to give one the feel of being in a mountain resort. There are new beds, furniture, comforters, towels, sheets, beds, antique carpets and Indian artifacts and rugs, granite kitchen counter tops, high ceilings, internet, large laundry room with washer and dryer, 2 car attached garage, large deck with gas grill, patio furniture. The neighborhood is very quiet with very few cars,children can ride bikes or play ball in the street. One can walk just a few of blocks,from the house,to the hiking trails of wonderful Paige Meadows.
The house has three bedrooms downstairs (one bedroom has a queen bed,one has a queen and XL twin and the third is very big with a queen, and a full size beds. It also has a table and chairs for games, puzzles, etc.), bath, family room and laundry room. One can enter the house from the garage into the laundry room and not be exposed to the winter weather outside.
The upstairs is the main living area, family room with river rock wood burning fireplace, dining area, a fully equipped modern kitchen. The large master bedroom with king size bed, sitting area with a sofa bed & high speed internet. Master bath has a jetted tub.
We have provided children's books and games, puzzles and toys.
All beds are either pine log, hickory or wrought iron with new pillow top mattress'. View fabulous sunrises, the whispering pines or a peek of the lake through large plate glass windows in the upstairs living area or on the large deck.
We're located just 2.5 miles from Tahoe City on the desirable north/west shore of Lake Tahoe. We have access to one of the most desirable members private park and beach on the Lake. Tahoe Park Home Owners park is 5 minutes from the cabin. Refer to: Lake TahoePark Association - beach and pier info.
The Lake Tahoe Park Association also includes over several hundred feet of protected beach area, two deep water piers, picnic tables (these can be reserved), barbeque, children's playground, volleyball, basketball, horseshoe pits, and clean restrooms and changing room. The park is secured & fenced with entrance by key only.
Enjoy all the summer sports you can think of, all of which are only minutes away. Raft down the Truckee River or kayak, ski, boat,and other water sports on one of the most famous fresh water lakes in the world. Ski on the Olympic slopes of Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, and Grandlibakken which are only 10 to 20 minutes away.
Wonderful restaurant dining: Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe, Jake's, Tahoe House Bakery (best coffee house in Tahoe for 2006), Wolfdale's (best fish cuisine and dinner house for 2006), all are just a few minutes or a couple of miles away in Tahoe City.

we chose purchasing this home because we like the north/west side of the lake. It is quiet, beautiful, lots of bike/walking trails and more of a resort feel than the gambling side.
