Beautiful Flat in the Heart of Paris
Beautiful Flat in the Heart of Paris
My friend and I stayed in this lovely flat during our stay in Paris for the marathon. The owner did an excellent job communicating with us and we were greeted by a caretaker who went over everything with us before turning over the keys. The flat is tastefully decorated, clean, and well stocked with everything you need. The views from the flat are amazing and we could not have been happier with our experience. Thanks Paula and Victoria!

We have just finished our third and very enjoyable stay at the Paris Penthouse. We always find it clean and welcoming We were greeted with an arrival gift of Champagne, cookies and chocolates. The Apartment is always stocked with the travelers needs, to include soaps, shampoos, Nwspresso coffees, teas, books, movies and travel guides and the like. Each time we visit, we notice changes; new dishwasher-desk-kitchen cabinets. We love the location; a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and close to shops and restaurants. You are never more than a couple of blocks from a Metro. We have had a wonderful experience and hope to come again J & L

Paris dream penthouse
Paris dream penthouse
My wife and 13 year old daughter had a wonderful 4 days in this beautiful penthouse. My daughter thought it way cooler than a hotel especially the view of the Eiffel from her comfy pull out sleeper sofa - oh and the huge tub with bubble bath provided. Unlimited use of computer and phone was very nice extra. Victoria the local property manager was lovely and extremely helpful in getting us settled and offering assistance including personally fetching us at train station. My wife and are are already planning a more romantic Mom and Dad 20th anniversary trip.

Beautiful and Attention to Detail
Beautiful and Attention to Detail
This was the first time I have not stayed in a hotel when in Paris. Because Paula thought of every detail, it was hard to feel like I wasn't in a hotel for services, but I felt at home too. We will certainly return on our next visit.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!
THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!
Aloha! I first have to start off by thanking Paula (Owner) for having this wonderful place available and to Victoria (Property Manager) for all her help. They were both awesome in answering all my questions before as well as during our stay. I went to Paris for the first time with by boyfriend to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn't have found a better place. We arrived early in the morning and was glad that Victoria was there to pick us up. Take advantage of the airport pick up service because she's very sweet and knowledgeable about Paris. Without her there we would have been lost getting to the apartment. After getting used to the streets a couple days we realized it wasn't so bad at all. The apartment itself is a dream! First and foremost the VIEW! What a way to wake up to and fall asleep to every night. The Eiffel tower is beautiful and larger in person. The absolute best watching it sparkle every night every hour before going to bed. Everything advertised is spot on. In fact we couldn't even take advantage of all the amenities properly because there were so many. The apartment is very romantic, clean, excellently located (near a metro station and shops), basically has everything you need. Even the office came in handy to print our boarding passes and tickets for excursions around Paris. Four days in Paris just isn't enough but this penthouse just made this short trip that much better. Definitely would love to come back and stay here again. Mahalo Paula and Victoria!

Owner response: We are one of the few, if not the only rental property that we know of, that provides airport pick up to our guests = free of charge for those staying 7 nights or more. Not only do guests save money, have a safe/secure/easy way to get into paris, are driven by an English speaking person, our property manager victoria, but they also get a private tour of Paris along the way from Victoria, if they like. Simply, a GREAT VALUE and another reason to choose the paris penthouse for your paris holiday
What a fantastic stay in this beautiful penthouse. I visited Paris for my first time starting on December 26th. I was a solo traveler celebrating my 40th birthday, and wanted something really special. I got it all and more in this lovely place. The pictures are 100% accurate. No surprises. The bathroom actually looks smaller in the photos than it actually is. The walk in shower is really nice to have after a long day of meandering through Paris's lovely streets. It was nice to have all of the options/amenities available (Nespresso machine, laptop and wifi free, etc). I didn't use the laptop (c'mon...you're in Paris), but it's nice to know it was there. Although the flat is actually in the 15th Arron., it's really just a block or two outside of the 7th...and it's a block from one Metro and a 3-minute walk to a second, nearby Metro stop, too. It's 10-12 minutes to Eiffel. It's the PERFECT location for Paris. The flat is filled with beautiful linens, crystal, etc. I had the MOST comfortable sleep in that dreamy bed that I have had in a really long time. I was greeted with delicious chocolates, almond cookies and a split of champagne. This was the perfect place for my first visit to France. And Paula (the owner) and Victoria (the manager) were 100% helpful with all of my questions and needs, both before and during my stay. Thanks for the wonderful memories. :-)

The best way to see Paris
The best way to see Paris
For the last three years I have returned to this beautiful 5 star Penthouse which is perfectly placed in Paris. With only a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, you really are in a perfect spot. The Penthouse is excellently equipped to make you feel at home and relaxed with an extremely comfy double bed, huge flat screen TV and DVD, an office with computer should you need to catch up on emails or browse the internet to research Paris, a well equipped kitchen and an impressive marble bathroom and separate shower. Why stay in a hotel when you can live the dream here? And because you are self catering you get the opportunity to explore the lovely neighborhood, meet the locals and learn about French culture. Just 2 minutes walk away in both directions are two lovely boulangeries and within a short 5 minute walk you can be sitting on the Metro whisking you away to another beautiful district of Paris. I personally recommend standing on the Trocadero at sunset and gazing down at the Eiffel Tower, a walk through the Louvre to the Place de la Concorde into the Champs-Elysées up to the Arc de Triomphe too. Sacre Coeur is beautiful and gives you a stunning view of this glorious city. Paris is such a wonderful place to wander about, and to come 'home' to this beautiful Penthouse makes the whole holiday all the more enjoyable.

The perfect Paris getaway!
The perfect Paris getaway!
My wife and I spend 3 nights in the Penthouse at the beginning of December and we were so impressed with the apartment. Firstly, let's talk about the view! The views from the bedroom of the beautiful sprawling street below and from the lounge, the majestic Eiffel tower are just amazing...Especially at night when the lights come on! The apartment has everything you could possibly need whether it's a short business trip or a romantic getaway and once you step outside the front the gate all of Paris is on your doorstep. The markets, Subway, shops and cafe's are all a stones throw away. Both my wife and I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a fantastic location in the centre of Paris.

Just as advertised
Just as advertised
It's rare to get pretty much exactly what the owner says you will get when renting via VRBO, but this place delivers exactly what's advertised. All the extras were there, including a pick-up from the airport, which after a 10 hour flight and a huge time change was very welcome. And having that person speak perfect English was very good, as was her ability to give an overview of the apartment and the surroundings. Close to both the metro and bus stops was a nice plus as well. Would recommend for most, but more so for anyone who has been to Paris before, and wants to experience a bit different location. The hourly Eiffel Tower light show was an added bonus. The only negative, and the reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars, was that it took a week for the street cleaners to tidy up the street in front of the apartment, obviously not the fault of the owner. But that's Paris..ypou never know what to expect.

Owner response: The street the apartment is on is always cleaned every other day by French Government employees. So perhaps there was a labor dispute or a scheduling problem that resulted in this situation. As this guest points out in his review, the condition of Paris Streets, which is overseen by the City of Paris, is way beyond my control an apartment owner, such as myself. That which is within my control, the impeccable condition and cleanliness of the apartment and providing an 'as advertised' property, is consistently provided, as this guest and many others attest to.
We spent 10 days in October in this lovely apartment. The location was perfect along with the great view. Very nice amenities made our stay perfect. Very easy to get around to the sites we wanted to see, close to the metro and the river. Highly recommend this perfect apartment for anyone staying in Paris. So much better than any hotel could have been. We really enjoyed our stay.

Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: I have been offering luxury holiday accommodations since 1999, with properties in Paris, the South of France, London and Napa Valley, California. Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful, more comfortable than most vacation rentals. I live part-time in all these places. So each functions as a personal 'home' -- not just an impersonal rental property. So there are many things, both big and small -- from superb heating and air conditioning to an extensive French art glass collection to oyster knives, a sushi set and escargot forks -- that are not usually found in properties that are used exclusively as rentals. The hallmark of each residence is its personal style, which reflects its unique character and location. For example, my Paris penthouse, the top floor of a handsome Art Deco building with sweeping views of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian rooftops, is thoughtful designed with the idea of bringing the look and feel of skyscape and its light inside with a calm silver-grey palette sparked by carefully placed bursts of glass, chrome, mirrors and colour. My philosophy is that I would never rent a property that I would not stay in myself. So, putting myself into my guests’ shoes, I 'think of everything' -- as my many 'five-star' guest reviews confirm -- to make your stay a most positive and memorable experience.
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7:
If you read the many excellent 'five-star' guest reviews, they thoroughly answer the question, 'Why this property?' Personally, I lived in Paris for several years before purchasing the penthouse so I was quite familiar with the City and the profile of different arrondissements and neighborhoods. I chose this property and location because 1) I LOVE the Eiffel Tower, and the penthouse has fantastic views of it from 5 windows and the apartment itself if very light, open and airy, 2) the neighborhood is lively (with many cafes/restaurants and stores), safe AND truly Parisian. That is, it's not overrun by tourists so you really live like a local while you're here, 3) it offers convenient day-to-day living -- stores/services, such as post office, big and small supermarkets, an outdoor market are within a 2-5 minute walk 4) the penthouse is only one block from a convenient metro line that provides easy access to all major sights in the city and a five minute walk to the Champs des Mars, the huge park that surrounds the Eiffel Tower, which provides a great place to walk/run/and people watch.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I never tire of the stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from each of the penthouse windows. The view is especially inspiring from the window of fully-equipped office/study. So as I work, I can glaze from my desk (which is smack in front of the window) and see this marvelous structure. I also love the privacy of the penthouse, the conveniences (bakeries, food/convenience stores, wine bar) at are literally a 30 second walk from outside the building gates) truly Parisian neighborhood, and walking/exercising on the Champs des Mars, the park where the Eiffel Tower is located.
