This historic house, built circa 1804 by a Nantucket mariner, is a classic example of island architecture, for the period. The house has a center chimney with working fireplaces, a large dining area, renovated kitchen, and pantry with cherry cabinets and beautiful tile floors. There is a cozy den and living room, as well as four bedrooms and three and one half baths. The house has such modern amenities as dish washer, ice machine, clothes washer and dryer, and cable TV.
There is an enclosed outdoor shower plus a large lot belonging to the property that is perfect for lounging and lawn games. The house is located on a quiet street and is easy walking distance to town restaurants, shops, Main Street, and the Harbour. Beaches are an easy bike or car ride away.
The house is the only one on Mill Street with the front door not facing the street. Originally there was a lane running along the property across from which there was a brewery.
