Welcome to our home. Come enjoy spectacular sunrise and sunset views from the decks or the loft. Enjoy the beautiful soft sand beach with awesome shelling, surfing, body surfing, and snorkeling on the reef just 50 yards off the shore. The best waves on Guana Cay are just footsteps away from the home. When you are done at the beach, there is a private outdoor shower to rinse off.

Pura Vida features four uniquely decorated theme bedrooms, each with its own private bath for extra privacy and comfort. Each room is tastefully decorated in island flavor. There is a "Sea Blue" room, "Pink" room, "Aqua" room, and "Periwinkle" room. Most of the furnishings are hand-crafted by local Bahamian Woodworkers from the island. Each bedroom opens onto a shared deck through French doors. The cool breezes and the calm water of the Sea of Abaco are beautiful and inspiring.

There is also a downstairs "rec" room for the kids to relax and play in safely, while the adults relax in the comfort of the living room.

Enjoy the islands atmosphere by attending any or all of the theme nights the local "hotspots" offer or just enjoy the peace and quiet at home.

There are plenty of things to do to keep you busy on the island - there is a dive shop with daily trips and island hopping trips and a variety of rental items like boats, kayaks, and equipment. There are restaurants and beach grills, some with swimming pools for your enjoyment, a bakery-cafe and a well stocked grocery store. The beach is amazing and access is just seconds away from the home. Come enjoy island life - like they say "Its better in the Bahamas but its Gooder on Guana Cay."

  • We had a fabulous time staying on Guana Cay at Pura Vida. The house was really nice and the couple of very minor issues we did have were sorted out quickly and efficiently by Frances who manages the property. The house layout works perfectly for a group, with everyone having their own bathrooms and doors to the decks. We spent most of our time when we were at the house on the deck even at night when it was chilly because of the wonderful views and starry skies. It is a beautiful spot within easy access to either the gorgeous Altantic beach (a couple of minutes walk away) or the Sea of Abaco side. With golf carts it takes only minutes to drive into "town" to go to any of the island's restaurants/bars. Everything you need is available on Guana Cay (although some things are cheaper to stock up on in Marsh Harbour) and the house was fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. We had such a laugh, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly and the cays are beautiful. We rented a boat and ventured out on day trips to Marsh Harbour, Treasure Cay, Fowl Cay & Hopetown on Elbow Cay, all easily reached by boat within 15 to 30 minutes. All in all it was a great trip and the house was everything that the owner, Jeremy, describes on the site. I would definately recommend staying here.

    We had a great time. Pura Vida is absolutely lovely and set up perfectly with each bedroom having their own bathroom as well as access to the deck. Staying at Pura Vida really was significant in making our vacation a great one!

  • My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying here on two occasions. The house is wonderful and the atmosphere is remarkable. There are a ton of things to do, especially if you enjoy the water. The home is beautiful and very accommadating and has all the luxuries of home. The beach is only a minute away from the house and the beach is gorgeous. We highly recommend considering "Pura Vida" as a place to stay if and when you visit The Great Guana Cay island.
