We enjoyed a great family vacation at Pura Vida. With parents, three grown boys with one fiance, the four bedrooms and four baths were just the ticket. Very fun and relaxing week. Good time had by all. The house was nicely furnished with plenty of sheets and towels. Even came with a stocked pantry. We'll be back!

Greetings- Our stay at Pura Vida was from word of mouth from a family friend who visits the isle of Guana Cay frequently. Like many people I have never heard of Guana Cay, but my friend was so addiment about us spending our Honeymoon there how could I say no? Our stay there was the best idea I have ever had, my wife and I were taken aback on the location, cleanliness, and the stunning undisturbed tropical beauty that is in great abindance on the island. I dont know where to begin. First of all, the house Pura Vida, is exceptionally appointed, clean, and imaculately maintained. With on A/C, satelight TV and available WiFi we wanted for nothing during our stay. The mornings were full of warm tropical breezes, soft sounds of the ocean, and a stunning view from any angle thanks to the elevated wrap around portch. The inhabitants on the island are full of character, with no real traffic on the island, except the random golf cart, the roads are clean, paved and well maintained. People are very friendly and very helpfull, taking great pleasure helping us explore the island. There are plenty of private beaches to discover. Strictly speaking, this has to be the most romantic place in the carribean. I have visited other areas of the Bahamas, only to be mobbed by street venders and other enteprising individuals, none of that nonsence here in Guana Cay. Just peace, quiet, and romance. Guana Cay and Pura Vida was just what the doctor ordered for my family and friends vacation. We loved the accommodations; the views from both decks are spectacular, the home is tastefully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. The house is provisioned well and the air conditioning feels like heaven on hot summer days. We will most definitely stay at Pura Vida again and recommend it to anyone who wants rest and relaxation in comfort. The beach is within walking distance. Pura Vida is a must do.

Relaxing & Beautiful Hideaway

What a fabulous vacation spot! I recently returned from my visit to Great Guana Cay and Pura Vida. What can I say - the house is simply beautiful - very "island" feel to it. Plenty of room for relaxing, cooking, enjoying the fabulous views, any time of the day! I couldn't decide which room to stay in, as they each had their own colorful yet restful personality. Little touches like the outdoor shower make this home a delight to stay in! For those who must have their TV, there is one there - however, I doubt you will turn it on, why not sit on one of the balconies with a glass of wine and enjoy the view! When you feel like popping into the "town" for the local action, make sure you go th Grabber's or Nipper's. Definitely the places to enjoy a goombay smash or rum punch with great island music and neverending views to match. Anyone who is lucky enough to visit this home will certainly not be disappointed!

Pura Vida is wonderful. It is perfectly laid out for up to 4 couples providing ample gathering space but also privacy. It is really well maintained and provisioned and the location is ideal with easy access to both sides of the island. It is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that we enjoyed your home very much. The four bedrooms/ bathrooms worked very well with our large group even with a couple of spare teenage boys in the lower level. We used all the doors off the bedrooms and frequented the decks most of the time. I loved hearing the ocean all the time and would alternate decks some nights for the different sounds (crashing Atlantic waves vs. The gentle Sea of Abaco). Got my sunrise walk on the beach most mornings. Jenks was very helpful—both with people/luggage delivery and info.

We had a fabulous time staying on Guana Cay at Pura Vida. The house was really nice and the couple of very minor issues we did have were sorted out quickly and efficiently by Frances who manages the property. The house layout works perfectly for a group, with everyone having their own bathrooms and doors to the decks. We spent most of our time when we were at the house on the deck even at night when it was chilly because of the wonderful views and starry skies. It is a beautiful spot within easy access to either the gorgeous Altantic beach (a couple of minutes walk away) or the Sea of Abaco side. With golf carts it takes only minutes to drive into "town" to go to any of the island's restaurants/bars. Everything you need is available on Guana Cay (although some things are cheaper to stock up on in Marsh Harbour) and the house was fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. We had such a laugh, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly and the cays are beautiful. We rented a boat and ventured out on day trips to Marsh Harbour, Treasure Cay, Fowl Cay & Hopetown on Elbow Cay, all easily reached by boat within 15 to 30 minutes. All in all it was a great trip and the house was everything that the owner, Jeremy, describes on the site. I would definately recommend staying here.

We had a great time. Pura Vida is absolutely lovely and set up perfectly with each bedroom having their own bathroom as well as access to the deck. Staying at Pura Vida really was significant in making our vacation a great one!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying here on two occasions. The house is wonderful and the atmosphere is remarkable. There are a ton of things to do, especially if you enjoy the water. The home is beautiful and very accommadating and has all the luxuries of home. The beach is only a minute away from the house and the beach is gorgeous. We highly recommend considering "Pura Vida" as a place to stay if and when you visit The Great Guana Cay island.
