We spent a week at the Raven this summer for a family vacation and thought that it was amazing. This was our favorite part of our Alaska trip which included a cruise of the inside passage and a visit to Denali. We have been fortunate to stay at some extremely nice places on our travels, and the combination of grand views and comfortable accomodations put the Raven near the top of the our list. - Accomodations were spacious, well-cared for, and like-new - Views of the bay and the far mountain ranges were incredible. Property provided clear views from the rooms, deck, and yard. Property was secluded as well. - Kitchen had modern appliances and well-stocked with all of the basic staples - coffee, spices, condiments, etc.. - Linens and furnishings were nice quality and in good shape - Daniel, the owner and his wife, were extremely gracious, responsive and helpful. We also went on a fishing charter with Daniel which was a lot of fun for the entire family (eventhough we had not done any fishing before). - The property is a short drive from Homer spit which was one of the most beautiful towns in Alaska. The people there were extremely friendly, the shops were fun, and there was plenty of adventure (hikes to glaciers, boating, fishing, wildlife spotting, museums, etc...).

Five women from Indiana ventured into the Alaskan wilderness, leaving our husbands to hold the forts down back home. While they eat their Campbell's Soup the Fab Five journeyed the waters catching Halibut galore! Feasting like queens! Your cabin was our castle and you were both so helpful and generous. Daniel guided us to the Halibut (and shark!)while Chris was kind enough to help us find our way around. The Raven- Amazing!! We truly felt at home. The views breathtaking!! A vacation of a lifetime! We will see you again soon!! (and maybe let the boys come) Ha! Thank you and god bless

This house is an absolute dream- very senic and peaceful. It felt like home. The pit was exquisite for late night campfires and s'mores! The sunset by Mt. Redoubt was spectacular. The town of homer is very quaint, rustic and has lots of charm. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Thank you for the fabulous memories of great accomodations and spectacular fishing. We all loved being on the boat with Daniel. Everything was perfect as can be. Chris, thank you for all your work in this beautiful home-"The Raven". We only had one problem- what to do with 300lbs of fish. Yes, Daniel is that good a guide. Thank you,

This was the perfect home for our family to spend time in Homer together. We loved the view! Also loved the fact that each couple had such a spacious bedroom and private bathrooms. We took you business card and may have the opportunity to come back. Thanks for your great accommodations. Blessings!

WOW! Second trip here for the Ruhls and Turners and we are so pleased with everthing. The house is warm & friendly and the hosts are beyond great. Fishing good- both the salt water & river- for the soul. Thanks Daniel and Christie for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy "neck of the woods".

A class act vacation all due to our stay at the Raven. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. We slept like a baby and when we were awake we were so relaxed looking at the view of a life time. I believe we will be back not to mention we will tell all our friends about you as well!

Your homer, the Raven, is so very beautiful & comfortable, the view absolutely spectacular. We thank you so much as we enjoy all of the hard work you put in - in building the Raven. Christie, you are a genious at finish work as well as furnishings & choice of linens & kitchen supplies. Not only did we have a successful day at fishing (a 68 year old lady pulling in a 97 1/2 lb. halibut) we are the recipients of your professional expertice! Thank you!

The Raven has been a great "homebase" for discovering the Kenai Peninsula. We watched a moose eat in the meadow next to us off the deck. Also saw numerous eagles soaring iver us and a pod of whales out in the bay. You guys have thought of everything to stock the house with to make out stay wasy. Daniel thank you for the ling cod trip. It was amazing. 175 lbs of fillets!! Thanks for your part in making a trip of a lifetime. We are already talking about our next trip. See you then.
