The exclusive gated community of Faria Beach Colony provides privacy and seclusion not commonly associated with beachfront property. Here you can relax, surf, play tennis, ride bicycles along the coast bike path, walk the beach, gaze at brilliant starlit skies, or just sit on the deck and watch surfers, whales, pelicans, and dolphins while you feel the romance and energy of the ocean.

Geographically located in an area known as California's 'Banana Belt,' one can expect some of the best weather in So Cal. This area is less exposed to wind, fog, light pollution, and cold weather. The beach house (one of a few) is located right on Pitas Point, so you can expect to experience schools of dolphins, whales, vintage and high performance aircraft, and surfers. Most local surfers feel that Pitas is better than the world famous Rincon just 8 miles north. Walk 150 yards to a 2 mile sand beach ending at Hobsins State Beach.

At 65 miles north of Los Angeles, 20 minutes south of Santa Barbara, and 10 minutes to either Ventura or Carpinteria, this beach house is centrally located to all major airports, shopping, theme parks, wineries, and fine restaurants.

* 2 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 story home plus a detached 'honeymoon' guest cottage. Two queen-sized beds plus a sofa bed in the living room and an additional twin-double pull-out bed that sleeps a total of 8 comfortably.
*complete TV/DVD/CD system in every room
* A 600 square foot upstairs master bedroom suite overlooks a 270 degree ocean view, with a Kreiss king upholstered sleigh bed, Balinese teak armoire w/enclosed large screen TV and full sound system on dark hardwood floors decorated in a tropical theme.
* Large gourmet kitchen with Viking range, Jenn-air dishwasher, and all the tools to cook and entertain in style. Dining area seats 8 comfortably at a solid mahogany table and chairs on green Quartzite floors.
* Large open space living room with sofas (one is pullout full sleeper), big screen TV with complete TV and sound system inside a antique Chinese cabinet, highlighted with a ocean rock fireplace and a Balinese Kings Chair.
* Office/bedroom offers a wicker trundle bed (convertible to 2 twins or 1 queen), a glass-top desk in the office, wireless internet available.
* A separate guest house with a queen bed, travertine floors and bath, in a bamboo theme. The bed sits 20' from the sea wall where you can lay with 180 degree ocean view lay in bed and watch the surfers and dolphins from a view unparalleled, or experience the might of the ocean at high tide.
* Large patio deck that offers unique privacy and has space for entertaining.
* Ocean view jacuzzi, and lava rock dry sauna.
* Completely remodeled in 2002, finished in fine
designer quality furnishings and vintage fixtures.
* Private tennis court within 5 minute walk. 150 yards to a
2-mile sand beach. Incredible tide pools at low tide.
* Boogie Boards available.
* 5-mile coastal bike path to the Ventura Old Town
antique and restaurant district.

  • My family from England and Minnesota joined at this property in summer of 2005. It was the perfect location, close to Ventura for shopping and Carpinteria's fantastic beach and farmers market. During that wonderful week we visited Disneyland, took out a boat to see the whales and just enjoyed listening to the waves and watching the dolphins from the patio. It is located in a secured area and we enjoyed it thoroughly. I would love to one day return!
