We offer:
**Free Highspeed Internet (10 meg.), Free unlimited in and out of State Long Distance Calling - this is very important since many visitors to the county find that they have poor cell phone reception.
This beautiful, new condominium, built in June 2007, is located on sand beach on Lake Michigan in Wisconsin's Door County Peninsula. The kitchen, dining area, living room and balcony all give way to spectacular sunrises over the lake. The colors of the water and skyline are ever-changing throughout the day. The town of Jacksonport is a quiet, tranquil town nestled between Lake Michigan and hardwood and pine forests. The constant lull of the waves provides a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. This is a unique area of Door County since the sand beach continues for miles to the north and south.
While other towns of Door County are bustling with commercialization, they may not have sand beach or water access for safe swimming and walks. Jacksonport has one of the best sand beaches in Door County - it is a small quaint village perfect for families with small children who appreciate quiet calmness and a restful atmosphere. Build sand castles and "relax and walk the beach with the kids." You can walk the beach to any point in the village whether it be to the grocery store, the park, church, the town bakery/cafe or to other places to eat. Jacksonport is centrally located between the more commercial areas of Door County - with Sturgeon Bay about 15 minutes to the south and Bailey's Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay about 10 - 25 minutes to the north. Jacksonport is just a few miles north of Cave Point County Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park where you can find caves, cliffs, sand dunes, miles of trails and nature walks, lookout points and friendly wildlife.
The unit is 1,220 square feet and has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed in each) + queen size sofa sleeper in the living room, 1 queen sized air mattress with electric pump for larger groups or children, 2 full bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, over-sized whirlpool tub in the master bedroom in addition to an attached full master bath. For additional guests, there is a queen size air mattress as well as a twin size air mattress. Since this is our second home and we have a toddler, there is a Graco high chair, pack 'n play, child table and chairs, and childrens cups, spoons and dishes.
Listen to the soothing waves break against the shore as you enjoy a coffee with sunrise or a beer with sunset. We assure you, and comments from previous guests confirm, that you will enjoy a get-away that you will cherish for many years to come. - WiFi (Wireless Internet) : 10 Meg via cable so it is dependable and not impacted by bad weather like satelite internet.

- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : 21 is the minimum age limit. We do not welcome large groups of teens for Proms, or other parties.

Why the Owner Chose Jacksonport
It is built on my parents former beach property and where I grew up. It is our second home. We have traveled around the world and this is still "home" and our favorite place to spend time with our family.

It is relaxingly uncommercialized! While there is everything you would want and need in the village of Jacksonport, it remains calm and tranquil. Many guests who have stayed with us say that they don't want anyone to know about it because they want it to remain calm and quiet! Miles of sand beach, beautiful views, park and water activities all around door county.

New in 2007, this condo was built on my parents' (Richard & Helen LeClair) former beach property. My 7 siblings and I played on this beach daily in the summer. This property is very dear to us. Our father, Richard LeClair, was born and raised next door to this property. His grandparents were commercial fishermen who emmigrated from Quebec to the shores of Jacksonport. After having served in the Navy during WWII, my father purchased this beach property. In 1957, my parents began operating "Lake Shore Summer Homes", with the same guests returning year after year until 2006. This property is part of my parents' legacy and the shoreline, the views of the lake and sounds of the waves are in our blood! We have decided to share it with you. Come stay with us and enjoy the beautiful sand beach in Jacksonport, WI.

Our family had a terrific time in Door County. The condo was pristine and a perfect size. Everything was exactly as it was stated in the description. The owners had a great list of suggested places to visit. We got to several and had a blast. The location is beautiful - right on the lake and the beach front is super soft sand. It was a wonderful vacation and hope to come back soon.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We just returned from a fantastic weekend bringing in 2010 in the LeClair family condo. What a wonderful accommodation, what a wonderful location, what a wonderful family it was to work with to help us make our last minute plan to spend New Years in THE DOOR! We have never stayed on the quiet side before and we will never stay anywhere but with the LeClairs again! When we stepped out of the vehicle after our 6 hour drive, we heard the waves and from that moment on, any chance we got we would stand or sit and watch the waves, watch the skyline and we even got to watch the 2010 Polar Bear Plunge of 600 polar bears jumping into the lake on New Years Day from the living room window ~ we had a better view of the plunge than probably 95% of those attending! We highly recommend this location to anyone planning a visit, it was the most clean accommodation, the family helping us so that spent hours making our arrangements to that we got to stay because we had decided at the last minute we wanted to go to THE DOOR for the weekend and on and on we could express good things! You're truly missing out on a great experience if you don't stay with the LeClairs in Jacksonport! No matter where you stay in THE DOOR you can get to great activities and great food but staying on the shore in Jacksonport gave us a great place for a home base! (This is our first testimonial, we feel this strongly about encouraging anyone interested in a great place to give the LeClairs a try, you won't be sorry!)

Our recent stay in this condo (9/08) was a very pleasant one. Mark and Ann are gracious hosts and made us feel so welcome. I cannot say which I enjoyed more...the spacious and modern amenities or the fantastic view. It appears we are the first guests for 2008 and what a great weekend to enjoy Door County (sure beats the snow storms in southern Wisconsin)! The accommodations here have been wonderful, more than we expected. The condo is beautiful and very comfortable. The location made it possible to do so many things. We definitely recommend hiking in the sand dunes, Cave Point, and visiting the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. Shopping is great in Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek. Can't beat the freshly baked goods from the Inn at Cedar Crossing, and we celebrated Easter with a wonderful buffet brunch at Harbor Fish Market & Grille. We look forward to staying here again in the near future!

10/8/07It was the long beautiful 4 day weekend , of ALL Door County PumpkinFest Weekends! What a great place to stay and a bonus of great weather! The weather was July-like and not only did we go kayaking but the kidsand Steve went swimming in the lake at sunset. Who would have guessed! We took long walks on the beach and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. With a fire going and good friends and conversation, what more couldanyone ask for.My only concern is that we will have to leave and go back home but thememories that we have will last a lifetime.
