We had a blast!

(Name omitted) and I had a great time there, the cabin was awesome. We liked everything about it. (Name) especially liked that we grilled out every night and then had 'smores after catching fireflys. We went whitewater rafting, jet boat ride, mountain biking at Tsali, where we ate black berries in the rain and got all muddy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to another trip there. While we were there we did some light gardening around the front entry and restacked the stone around the plants that had come unstacked. It kind of made it seem like it was our cabin. When we arrived (child) immediately claimed the bunk bed room and loaded his clothes in the dresser and closet. We had a blast.

We stayed here 6 nights, and it was absolutely great. The cabin is right around the corner from Lake Fontana and the Nantahala River, both beautiful swimming areas. The cabin has everything you need and some stuff you didn't know you wanted, including a fun collection of VHS tapes from the '90s you thought you'd never see again! The porch has a hammock and swing, great for relaxing. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the heat; the porch awarded no breeze, and the only A/C was in the living room, so if you're sleeping in one of the bedrooms it's stifling. There is one box fan, but the person without a fan is out of luck, and in my party, that person ended up sleeping in the living room. Still, not that big a deal. The kitchen is fully stocked, except for food of course, though there were some basic essentials left over like S&P, some other spices, and oil. Just 10 minutes from Bryson City which has a grocery and drug store, 1.5 hours from Asheville. Alcohol not sold after 6pm on Sundays, FYI!
Owner response:Whew! Here in the mountains, this was a RECORD heat year, like one we've never seen! For 2011 season and comfort of our guests, new A/C units have been added to each of the bedrooms.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Relatives have a cabin close by so that was our reason for renting. Loved the cabin and would recommend it. Our grandkids loved the old vcr tapes and National Geographics and games and the porches

We stayed in Laurel Creek Cabin in July 2009. We were very happy with the location, which was minutes from Bryson City and lovely hiking at Deep Creek. It was on its own little road with a handful of other cabins, so it was perfect for our dogs. We also loved the front porch.

Very charming, clean and comfortable. It was lovely and secluded yet at the same time close to all sorts of activities. We will definitely be going back!

I stayed in this cabin for 5 days and four nights it was great. The cabin is in great shape and you can not beat the location. We explored the area and everything is close by. We even drove over to TN and still had plenty of time to make it back to the cabin before to late. I would suggest this cabin to anyone... Great Place To Stay!
