  We are two couples from Scotland and we have just spent the most fantastic two weeks in this condo on Isla Del Sol. The condo is equipped to a very high standard and could not be faulted in any way. The owner Mel is a charming and very helpful host. This was our second visit to this condo (our friends' first) and it did not disappoint. Morning coffees on the balcony watching the wildlife just below was truly idyllic. We saw dolphins every day, stingrays, ospreys plucking fish from the bay, small hammerhead sharks, storks, herons, pelicans and on one day a large manatee swimming no more than twelve feet from the shore. The condo is ideally situated for the myriad of restaurants in the area. We especially enjoyed Billy's Stone Crab on Tierra Verde, The Salty Rim, Gators, Sea Critters on Passe de Grille, and Leverock's. The boardwalk at St John's Pass should not be missed with great restaurants and music. We had Sunday brunch at the Isla Del Sol Yacht Club. One of the best breakfast buffets we have ever seen and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was also enjoyed at the Don Cesar Hotel, again great choice and first class service. The girls then enjoyed a marvellous afternoon of pampering at the spa in the Don Cesar Hotel. The Condo is also very convenient for visiting St Petersburg and Tampa itself. The Salvador Dali Museum and the Science Museum in Tampa were particular delights. The boys went to their first baseball game at nearby Tropicana Field and the indoor Arena Football at Downtown St Petersburg. For us Scots very different sports but an experience not to be missed. All in all this Condo is superb and is exactly as described in the listing. Words however cannot fully describe the view and the pleasure of sitting on that balcony. You have to experience it for yourself. We shall be doing exactly that when we return in a couple of year's time.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  We stayed in this condo for 1 1/2 month while our house was being renovated. First, let me say the pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this immaculate condo. The view is probably the best in the area. This condo is so well appointed; you will not need anything. All is supplied, from appliances to beach towels. The beds are very comfortable, there are plenty of linens, the laundry room is well equiped and care and concern for the comfort of tenants is visible throughout. One thing that impressed us also is how visibly happy everybody we met were - relaxed, smiling, friendly. Mel and Barbara are the perfect hosts. From this condo you can walk to the beach (1 mile), go for dinner on foot, enjoy brunch at the beautiful club, sun yourself at the pool. 30 minutes from Tampa airport and near major interstates, this quiet oasis is unequaled. We live in this area and can assure you you will not want to leave at the end of your stay. Trust us, come see for yourself what an incredible rental this is. DEFINITELY UPSCALE, well maintained complex. Lots of green spaces. Peaceful water views, dolphins swimming, fish jumping...a therapeutic environment. We definitely would return and do not hesitate to recommend this unit.

  Mel the owner was what I should expect; polite, helpful, pleasant and friendly. Made us feel at home throughout our stay. We would certainly stay again and, even pass the wonderful experience along to other friends...............

  This condo is everything that is advertised and more. This 4th floor condo has a breathtaking view of the bay. The condo is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The landlord has strict rules against smoking and because of it the condo has been kept in great shape. I would rhighly recommend this property and am looking forward to returning next season. La Puerto is quiet. There are plenty activities just across the bridge in St. Pete Beach.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  Linda and I have vacationed in this area many times, but none of the places we have stayed comes close to the beauty and location of Mel and Barb's Condo. Stay and enjoy the pool/fantastic Condo or the beaches-shopping-restaurants-fun Parks. All are good choices. ENJOY!!

  We HIGHLY reccommend a stay at this lovely condo. It is exquisitely furnished with so many "little extras" provided. The view of the bay shore is magnificent with entertainment provided by the dolphins. The unit is immaculate and extremely comfortable. Mel and Barb are the most accommodating and thoughtful hosts. We will surely return for another visit.

  Our recent stay in Mel and Barb's condo was truly a slice of heaven. The area is absolutely beautiful and close to just about any activity desired in a vacation wonderland. The view from the balcony is breath taking and peaceful. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped with all the comforts of home. Can't wait until our next visit.

  My Family and I immensely enjoyed our two week stay in a beautiful environment. Barb and Mel are very gracious and accomodating hosts. Easy access to the interstate is a time saver - and watching the Porpoises from the deck each morning was incredible. We hope to stay again next year - and I highly recommend Barb and Mel as hosts.

  Our stay at your condo was wonderful. Twice as nice as a hotel, twice as large and less expensive. The condo was beautifully furnished and had every amentity necessary. The views were amazing. It was great to wake up to dolphins swimming by your windows, pelicans diving for fish and ending the day with beautiful sunset. We would stay again at Mel's condo and highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay at a luxury condo.
