The Casa Ora property consists of two houses with a total of three bedrooms and three and a half baths. Rent one or both depending on your needs.
The beach house is a charming one-story, two bedroom, two bath modern Mexican style beach front home. It has a split level floor plan with an extra large, built in couch.
The guest house is two story 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home. It has a nice ocean view from the bedroom balcony, plenty of ocean wave and bird sounds and an extra large built-in couch of its own. The guest house includes the same basic amenities as the main house. It also comes with a full laundry room.
Casa Ora is located just 2 miles north of Los Barriles. It is a 45 minute drive north from the Cabo Airport in the East Cape Region of the Baja Peninsula.
Casa Ora was built in 2000 and the guest house in 2006. Both are adobe style homes with unique artistic tile accents and concrete countertops through out.
Designed for informal relaxation, both homes have an open floor plan with exotic palapa roofs over most of the enclosed living area. The ocean-front view is fantastic, stretching from Punta Pescadero to the North and Punta Arena to the South. All bedrooms are positioned to provide a view of the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez from bed.
A beautiful 600-square-foot shade structure spans the entire width of the ocean side of the beach house. Mature palms and ficus trees surround the property attracting song birds and humming birds. A shady rocking chair or hammock is never more than a few steps away. Nature is ever active around Casa Ora, pelicans cruising, fish jumping, and the ever changing blue-green water of the Sea of Cortez. There are many whale sightings right out front, along with many dolphins and some sea lions, too.
Vacation Rental Amenities
Casa Ora is a fully equipped home. All cooking needs; coffee maker/grinder, blender, citrus juicer (pick up a big bag of juice oranges from one of the roadside vendors), microwave, washer/dryer, BBQ, custom locally built rocking chairs, games, TV-VCR with movie and TV tape collection and a CD-tape player with an eclectic music selection. We have some beach toys, umbrellas, coolers and miscellaneous stuff for fun. There is a two person sit-on-top kayak included.
I usually have a case of empty returnable beer bottles
around to exchange (Pacifico is good, but Bohemia is better).
Activities and Attractions
This our ultimate hideaway. Hang in one of the palm shaded ocean-view hammocks or relax in the oversized rocking chairs. There's great beach combing, snorkeling and sandcastle building right out the door on the beach. You won't have to look far for fun.
Additionally, just two miles to town, you can find other activities such as fishing charters, ATV rentals, windsurfing, kite surfing lessons and rentals. There are several nice sit-down restaurants in town and many taco and hamburger stands. |
