This private cottage is conveniently located 10 miles north of Ithaca, two miles from Trumansburg, and two miles past Taughannock State Park, in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country. Parking is on same level as the cottage, which is perched between Cayuga Lake and woodland. Steps lead down to Cayuga Lake, where there is ample space for relaxing and enjoying lakeside activities.
First floor of this quaint, 1250 square foot cottage includes a kitchen with dining area, living room with a stone fireplace and mahogany floor, and a large sitting room, which easily converts to a downstairs bedroom. The second floor features two generous bedrooms and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub. The sitting room has beautiful lake views and opens via sliding glass doors to a 25-foot-long wooden deck overlooking the lake, With its patio table and chairs, the deck is the perfect spot to relax, and enjoy the lovely view with morning coffee or lunch.
"Twin Pines" sleeps six persons - two in each bedroom, and two in the sitting room. All floors are natural wood. The cottage, outfitted with electric heat, is insulated and features an air conditioner in the living room. Behind the cottage, the parking area can accommodate four plus cars with a large lawn and extensive woods beyond. Adjacent to the cottage is a picnic area with a table and charcoal grill. Down the stairs from the picnic area, 90 feet of lakefront offers a dock, a lakeside cabana with lawn furniture, and a fire ring for romantic beach campfires.
Antique accents and comfortable contemporary furnishings combine to create a pleasing, classic cottage ambiance. The cottage is furnished with two sofas, a recliner, a convertible sofa/bed and Oriental rugs, and the eat-in kitchen with oak cabinets is fully equipped. One second floor bedroom has 18 feet of sliding glass windows overlooking Cayuga Lake.
With spectacular sunrises at dawn and a starlit sky at night, "Twin Pines" offers beautiful views of Cayuga Lake to the east and relaxing views of woods to the west.
