We enjoyed our stay at Lolo's cottage immensely. The view was breathtaking and the cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. This was our first trip with our five month old baby boy and we were pleased to find a pack and play in one of the bedrooms. The cottage is very close to Marshal Store and other eateries. We hope to be back again for another relaxing vacation :)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

our stay at the cottage was delightful. our only regret was that we couldn't stay a few more days. We enjoyed our meals at Stellina's in Pt Reyes Station and the Station House Cafe, in the garden. We visited the lighthouse and hiked through Pt Reyes National Park, beautiful this time of year. Looking forward to our return visit. the photos tell it all, just bring your toothbrush.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Lolo's cottage was everything that was described in the listing and much more. Originally from the East Coast, this place felt like home as soon as we stepped in. Words can't describe the peaceful serenity of this home, set right on top the water. It feels like a houseboat, without the motion. Beautiful views from morning until the stars illuminate the skies at night. The kitchen is fully loaded and the owners are kind enough to provide coffee, tea and a full assortment of spices and essentials. The cottage was beautiful and immaculate and quite honestly it had good energy. We had delicious baked goods from the local bakery, had local oysters both BBQ'd and raw. We took full advantage of catching up on some reading, relaxing and playing games on the back deck. I would recommend Lolo's to friends and relatives both local and anyone who may be traveling the Bay Area. We will be back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our family stayed here for Labor day wkd. What a beautiful place with a breathtaking view of Tomales Bay-the best place to watch a sunset! We all had such a wonderful time, the kids loved it too! Lori the owner was the easiest to work with- we actually left something there & she shipped it back to us, no strings attached. Neighbors are very polite as well. I would recommend this place to anybody, looking for a cute little getaway in a great location!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Fantastic. Well kept cottage, great kitchen, good location, fantastic waterfront views - it has it all! The kitchen supplies blew us away (loved the Le Cruset ware and iron pans of several sizes) and we were able to cook several nice meals without want of any kitchen equipment. I plan to rent this place next year too - this is a gem of a place!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Lolo's is a quiet cottage perched on the edge of the Tomales Bay. It is 8 miles north of Point Reyes Station on Hwy-1. We chose Lolo's because of the serenity of the setting and its proximity both to Point Reyes park, the restaurants of Point Reyes Station and for simple trips up the coast to Jenner, Sonoma Coast and other nearby parks. Lolo's delivered. The sound of the waves lapping below the cottage at high tide is relaxing. The stars at night are gorgeous. They bay itself is very, very quiet. We saw one small boat head up the bay each morning, then watched it return each evening. That was it. The beds we great. The two larger bedrooms have wonderful window views across the bay to Point Reyes. Sharing the one bathroom worked out fine. The kitchen is well equipped with a vintage frig and retro stove. The gas fireplace worked great. The beds were comfortable. Going in to Point Reyes Station was a simple and pretty drive. We ate at a number of the better rated restaurants and enjoyed each of them. We shopped at the local market for food for breakfast we made at Lolo's. The park itself was wonderful - especially the Chimney Rock trail. All and all, Lolo's was a nice base of operation. Although there is a small store right in Marshall along with a number of oyster / fish places, we didn't end up taking advantage of them. Likewise, there are some quaint places in nearby Tomales not far up Hwy-1. Lolo's sits alongside the bay next to a series of other cottages just north of Marshal. You park alongside the fence and are only 10 steps to the front door. Very convenient. Enjoy your stay. We did.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We just spent four nights with our 3 teens in this cozy, peaceful retreat. This is a very comfortable, charming house with two window seats where we stretched out and read books, snoozed while listening to the waves lapping ashore UNDER the deck and enjoyed the stunning view of Tomales Bay.. The best part was waking up in the upstairs room with an unimpeded view of the bay from the bed and the sound of the water. Our son fished on the pier ( although only caught sea weed); we cooked in the well- stocked kitchen (but know that there is no dishwasher); and used the house as a base for excursions to the pt.reye lighthouse and to see the elephant seals and tide pools. We also had great meals at Nick's Cove and Stellina. Worked well for our family of five ( but note 1 bath). Owner very helpful and accommodating. We will return...Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Two things to know about us: the first is we love the outdoors. We ride horses on the trails with kindly mounts from a local stable and ride bikes throughout the Tomales Bay area. We walk and hike the trails and love the surprises that come with each season: a swath of lupine on a spring-green hillside; ospreys feeding their fledgling chicks in their pole-top nest, low-tide walks that reveal anemones, star fish, fan kelp and tiny crabs usually hidden by high water. The second thing to know is that we love to eat. Fresh seafood and locally grown organic foods are available year 'round. Just-harvested oysters are a 5-minute walk from our front gate and the area's restaurants merit several stars with varied cuisines and the freshest seasonal ingredients...Heaven!
Why the Owner Chose Point Reyes Station:
We've been visiting the Point Reyes area for decades-- family day trips to the beaches and hiking trails and getaway weekends just for ourselves. We always dreamed of our own home in the area, but it was rare to hear of properties for sale... so it remained just a dream.
When the opportunity for this magical bayside cottage came up, we jumped at the chance and have been been delighted with our decision ever since. It's been 6 years and the WOW! still hasn't worn off.
