Lolo’s Cottage is the ideal destination for your coastal getaway, just an hour’s scenic drive from the City and the Wine Country. We're located directly on Tomales Bay amid the rolling hills of West Marin. The cottage offers sweeping views of the Bay from every vantage and an up-close experience with the birds and sea life that call this area home.
A lush garden greets you at the gate and every comfort awaits you within the cottage. High, open-beam ceilings and skylights give a spacious feeling and the interior décor and colors throughout are warm and inviting. A viewing window is inset in the living room floor... you can watch the bay tides move in and out beneath the house.
Two bedrooms have queen beds and views of the Bay; the third bedroom has a twin and overlooks the garden. The beds, voted 'super comfortable’ by our guests, have down comforters and pillows and all linens are included. In addition, we offer a crib for families with babies.
Curl up in one the window seats and watch the changing light on the bay. Or dine on the dock at sunset as cormorants, kites and ospreys dive for their own dinners. The night sky will amaze you, constellations seem to drift just beyond hand’s reach.
The kitchen overlooks both Bay and garden. It's fully equipped for any type of gourmet cooking. There are table linens and china for eight and a gas BBQ on the deck. Coffee, teas, 40+ herbs and spices as plus cooking basics are here for your use
We offer high-speed wireless internet connection, a CD player and a sizeable CD library for your enjoyment. At present, there is no TV; however feel free to select from our DVD collection to play on your own computer. Since cell phones don’t work out in Marshall, our telephone is available without charge for both local and US long distance calls.
The Marshall Deli and Store is a 10 minute walk in one direction and offer great BBQ oysters and sandwiches. Fresh oysters are available by the bag from Hog Island Company, 5 minutes in the other direction. The towns of Point Reyes, Inverness and Olema have nationally acclaimed restaurants and delightful shopping.
The Point Reyes National Seashore and nearby state parks are superb settings for your outdoor adventures whether you chose to walk, horseback ride, cycle or paddle. Launch your kayaks from our private beach and explore the inlets and secluded western shores of the Pt. Reyes peninsula. Harbor seals often swim alongside your kayak in the winter and spring seasons.
Lolo’s Cottage is an ideal retreat for couples or a family group of five. We look forward to your visit!
The rate is $295 per night for Fri & Sat, double occupancy (3-nt minimum July & August and all holidays (2-nt minimum Sept-June). There is $50 per person supplement for up to 3 additional adult guests.
The weekly rate is $1770. (1 nt free)
10% county tax and a $90 cleaning fee apply.
We accept checks, Visa and Master Card. Whichever payment method you choose, a deposit of $295 will hold your 2-night reservation or $590 confirms your stay of 3 or more nights.
Cancellation: We know there are unplanned emergencies that alter plans. If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the booking date, your total deposit will be refunded. If you cancel fewer than 14 days before your arrival, we'll return your full deposit, if we're able to re-rent for that date. If we're unable to re-rent, the your deposit will be applied to a future rental.

Why the Owner Chose Point Reyes Station
We've been visiting the Point Reyes area for decades-- family day trips to the beaches and hiking trails and getaway weekends just for ourselves. We always dreamed of our own home in the area, but it was rare to hear of properties for sale... so it remained just a dream.
When the opportunity for this magical bayside cottage came up, we jumped at the chance and have been been delighted with our decision ever since. It's been 4+ years and the WOW! still hasn't worn off.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
Perched directly over Tomales Bay means that you're up-close to the amazing variety of birds and sea life that call this area home: cormorants, egrets, pelicans and harbor seals are regular visitors. Even indoors, the unparalleled vista is part of the cottage 'decor.' The expanse of windows brings the peaceful Pt. Reyes Seashore right inside. And a porthole window inset in the living room floor allows you to view the changing tides while lounging on the window seats.

Two things to know about us: the first is we love the outdoors. We ride horses on the trails with kindly mounts from a local stable and ride bikes on both sides of the area. We walk and hike the trails and love the surprises that come with each season: a swath of lupine on a spring-green hillside; low-tide walks that reveal anemones, star fish fan kelp and tiny crabs usually hidden by high water; ospreys feeding their fledgling chicks in their pole-top nest.
The second thing to know is that we love to eat. Fresh seafood and locally grown organic foods are available year 'round. Just-harvested oysters are a 5-minute walk from our front gate and the area's restaurants merit several stars with varied cuisines and the freshest seasonal ingredients...Heaven!
