Me, my husband & 8 year old son stayed here. We went with other families that stayed in other rooms. We loved the location of the room and we had everything we needed. The unit was clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners answered all the questions we had and were very helpful and nice. There was a little noise in hallway, but we were expecting that being that we were there during Spring Break. Would stay there again!

Keys Wouldn't Work! Tub Wouldn't Drain! Balcony Door Wouldn't Slide! NO Phone! EXTREMELY Loud!

The "Beach Treat" is on the beach but is definitely NOT a treat! Upon arrival, everything looked nice but wasn't functional. #1 The key wouldn't work without feeling like it was going to break off in the lock. #2 The patio door was near impossible to open. #3 The patio door handle was about to fall off. #4 The patio blinds wouldn't slide back and forth. #5 One side of the balcony was piled with filthy toys, rafts, and falling apart beach chairs. #6 The ice dispenser was frozen solid and unable to dispense ice. #7 The trash chute key was missing. #8 Unit is located directly across from the Skybar so it is EXTREMELY noisy until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. Just imagine trying to sleep (and get your kids to sleep) in a nightclub. #9 The tub wouldn't drain. #10 There is NO working phone in the unit (false advertising) and my cell phone would not get a signal unless I literally hung off the balcony. When we called the owner the night of our arrival, he recommended that we leave the door UNLOCKED due to the key problems and go to Walmart to buy Draino for the tub. I know pouring draino down the drain didn't take much effort, but when you're on vacation you really don't want your first stop to have to be Wal-Mart. Once I explained to him that I did not feel comfortable leaving all of my stuff in an unlocked room, he agreed to call a locksmith (but then ended up making me pay for $50 of it out of our deposit) with NO reimbursement for the Draino as promised. We will not be staying at the so-called "Beach Treat" again, but I hope my comments will help to improve the experience of other families staying at this condo.

We take all steps to resolve our guest’s concerns as soon as we are made aware of them. Our focus is to make sure that all valid concerns are addressed. Please review the following information: 1. These guests were charged $50 out of their damage deposit for property damage and for a small portion of the emergency locksmith charges. We called the locksmith on the night of their arrival. The locksmith indicated that there was nothing wrong with the lock but the renter was too intoxicated to operate it. The locksmith showed them how to use the lock and was very uncomfortable due to the renter’s level of intoxication. 2 and 3. We had Wyndham fix the patio door handle and the door as soon as we were made aware of the situation. 4. The patio blind were working prior to this renter’s arrival. We were not told of any issues until after their departure. The blind company is scheduled to fix them on August 8th. 5. Our guests leave working beach chairs and beach toys for others to use-and to save money. We dispose of all items at the end of summer. The items were less than 30 days old when our guest was there and they are in one corner of the balcony. We did let them know that they could dispose of them if they did not like them being there. Other guests have told us that they appreciate the items. We have disposed of all items as of 7/30 except for a few toys. 6. The ice dispenser is fixed and working! 7. One of our guests took the trash chute key home with them and we were not aware it was missing until they sent it back to us in the mail. We have confirmed that Wyndham leaves the trash chute open in the summer months and this is not an issue. 8. The Skybar closes between 10 PM and midnight. We contacted Wyndham and Skybar does a limited amount of business. It is important to note that Saturday nights can be noisy due to arriving families and first vacation night excitement. 9. The tub drain has been fixed. We did recommend Drano as an immediate fix and took the cost into consideration at the time of the deposit refund. 10. We do not provide phone service and inform our guests of this. There is limited reception within the condo due to concrete walls and varying service providers. Most cell phones will work next to the patio door or on the balcony.

My daughter married one year ago and moved to South Carolina, she and I needed a week get away, we were able to book this condo for 7 days, and we loved it. The third floor was great, the rooms were so nice. A little noisey on Saturday night, but the next six days were great. A little confusing getting our luggage to room, but once we were there a few days we figured out our way around. Very nice pools. The washer & dryer was great to clean our beach towels each day. The prompt return of my deposit was great. She and I look forward to our next year get away, and we will be booking this condo.

Great stay at the Beach Treat!

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Treat at Emerald Beach Resort. Beaches and water were beautiful--no oil at all. Condo was very nice, clean and had everything we needed. It was a little noisy at night, especially on the weekend with people coming and going. Resort was very nice also. We were not allowed to use the rooftop pool, as we were told it was for owners only. One of the pools was closed two days in a row due to 'accidents' by children. So it was a little crowded at the beach side pool on those days. Condo has a wonderful view of the beach. Thanks for sharing your Beach Treat with us!

Beatiful Beach Get-A-Way

The condo is beautiful and the third floor view was fantastic. The inside was gorgeous also! We did have a trama moment when I realized I had my dates mixed up and we were having to leave oneday earlier then we had planned as the new rental family arrived. YIKES! Thank goodness for the owner communicating with my husband. Luckily my hubby was able to get us another night in the same condo on the same floor. Even better the owners were gracious enough to refund me a night's rent and returned my full deposit even though we were late getting out of our room and even though it was completely my fault. The only two negatives about the condo was there was no local phone service and our cells did not get signal sometimes. Also, the design of the entrance from the parking lot to the room had way too many doors when we were walking with a luggage cart. Plus you have to take two different elevators with the luggage cart to get to your room. At first it was VERY confusing, but now I would go back because we figured it out. Best part about the condo was the two pools. My niece and nephew loved the pool in the front and it was less crowded. It was one of the cleanest and coolest pools I have ever seen! Loved the Starbucks and the Skybar too! Loved the view! The owners are great! I would definetly go back!!!

What could be better for a review than to say this was our second time to visit the beach and stay at the Beach Treat. Our visit this year was even better because we were familiar with the resort, easy parking and access to the condo unit. Rental was a breeze as the owner made the arrangements easy and promptly returned the deposit. The beach and the view of the gulf are awesome. Who knows we could be back for our third visit next year.

Stayed at The Beach Treat from Apr. 3-10, 2010. Perfect weather, perfect view from balcony, and very comfortable facility. Everything was kept clean and the beach is a little piece of heaven on Earth! Recommend taking your own beach chairs as rental was expensive. (Beach shops across the street sell chairs, too.) Great location with easy access to Pier Park. Favorite restaurants were Back Porch @ Pier Park, and Sharkey's right next door. Also enjoyed the Boon Docks restaurant where air boat rides are available. (It is worth the short drive to go there.) Jet skies, parasailing and banana boats were fun to watch and availabel right on beach in front of condo. The public pier to the west will be a great addition when construction is complete. The owner's were also very helpful and easy to work with. We totally enjoyed our vacation, and would highly recommend this facility!

We stayed at your condo June 13-20th and had a wonderful time. Our children and their families also rented condos there, but ours was in the perfect spot. We were also able to meet the owners. Very nice couple! Thank you for letting us rent your condo. We hope to return in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean and fully equipped condo unit. Our deposit was returned promptly. The resort itself was well maintained. The view and access to the beach was great. We wish we were still there.

I spent the month of January in your condo to escape the winter weather in NC. It was wonderful to see the view of the beach every morning while having coffee, and to sit on the balcony in the evening to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.
