You can listen to the loons at night while enjoying the crackling bonfire in the fire pit overlooking the lake! Or maybe you'll see the AMAZING Northern lights! And don't forget the GORGEOUS sunsets on the water. Long Lake is known to be one of 6 premier lakes in the area because of its clean water, great fishing (walleyes, northern, bass and sunnys),and large size 1700 acres, 190 feet deep.
Our very secluded wooded home has a huge kitchen overlooking the lake, living room, 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with 3 bunk beds), satellite TV, basement with laundry and double bed. We have 2 decks, one overlooking the lake and our huge back deck with gas grill overlooking our huge yard. Also has a 3 season porch overlooking the lake.
The gradual descent to the crystal clear sandy beach is perfect for swimming or any water activities. No weeds, no mucky bottom here! We are located on the east side of the lake that's very quiet, to the north is an expansive chunk of land with no homes!
Your welcome to use our dock for your boat or any other watercraft. We also have a live well for all the walleyes (and other fish) that you're going to catch. The sand beach is perfect for the kids to use their pails and shovels.
There are many quality visitor and dining attractions and very close by. Itasca State Park (Headwaters of the Mississippi), Northern Lights Casino, Heartland Trail, Bears Den Golf course is right on the lake with other quality courses very close, 3 live theatres, unique shops and several great restaurants (Dorset, the restaurant capital of the world!).

Year Purchased: 1992
Our lake home is part of 30 acres that were purchased back in the 50's by my father in law's best friend who sold the lots to just the 2 families. There are 9 in all, of which 5 of us remain. A job change forced us to move to Phoenix, Arizona in 1998 so in 2006 our property became a vacation rental since unfortunately for us we cannot get there as often as we would like. It is a very special place for us, July 4th is the one time in the year our whole family looks forward to being together. We have created so many lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Long Lake is known to be one of the best lakes in the area because of it's size, clarity, sandy bottom, fishing, swimming to name a few. We feel our location is perfect because we are on a quiet corner, to the north there is a wide open space with no homes so we are very private and very wooded. Since we are on the east side of the lake we always get a slight breeze which means no mosquito's! Well, hardly that is. Other benefits include gorgeous sunsets, plenty of yard space for games, picnics, tents, and at night sitting by the bonfire and watching the stars. You may even get lucky and see the northern lights!
