This house was so comfortable, beautifully decorated, so well stocked and had an amazing view. Our group of 7 family members stayed for just 4 days and none of us wanted to leave. The pictures did the house justice but was actually even more beautiful. The owners are very easy to work with and the house was clean and ready for us. It was instant relaxation for all of us. We all would like to return to this little bit of Paradise and most likely will one day..

This beautiful home is in the Bird Rock district, which is on the south end of La Jolla closest to Pacific Beach and Mission Beach. This quiet neighborhood is well situated between the attractions of San Diego and the elegance of La Jolla. The home is perched on bluffs with fantastic views of Tourmaline Beach activity, and it's an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Bird Rock or down hill to the beach. The house is spacious and comfortably furnished with large, clean windows looking out at the surfers and dolphins in the sparkling sea. With two separate decks as well as the large, beautiful living room, it was easy to relax in shade or sun, a quiet reading space or a family festive space. The hosts have provided all that is needed to make the most of this amazing spot. We particularly appreciated the binoculars, comfortable outdoor furniture, well outfitted kitchen, good books, and information on local restaurants and recreation. This is a lovely, well-maintained home in an amazing location. There are nice touches that communicate a warm welcome, making it easy to settle in and relax. I highly recommend this vacation home to any adult visitors.

Wonderful, relaxing stay at this home in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the views and comfortable beds at this well-maintained property. Loved hearing the ocean at night. Owner was very helpful with arrangements and was easy to work with. Great setting for our family with adult children. (would not recommend with young children) Visited Bird Rock Coffee and local shopping (Mimi and Red---local boutique shop) all within walking distance. A short car ride from downtown LaJolla for more eating options---Lunch at Valencia hotel on their outdoor terrace overlooking the water is wonderful.

We stayed at this charming beach cottage for a 60th birthday. Seven women just living the good life while sitting on patios and watching the waves. It was the "perfect get-away" for us. We enjoyed the local dining experience and the owner Carolyn was very helpful in referring us to her favorite spots. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated and has all the amentities you need. It also has easy access to the beach but you do need to climb up and down stairs to get there. If you are a surfer this is the perfect vacation for you! We would definately return!

Our family had a great time over Thanksgiving. This place is just great, both indoors and out. Had coffee on the patio while watching dolphins play, pelicans plunge, and surfers rode the waves. Lots of room in the kitchen for all of the cooks. Plenty of room inside to sit before the fire, watch football, read books and just converse. Very comfortable bedrooms. All close to nearby shopping and less than a half hour from the San Diego airport. Grown children were also impressed. We're hoping to make it a family tradition. Highly recommended for families with adult children.

For those of us who grew up and live in the desert (Arizona), this wonderful view was a special treat. I surprised my guests with this rental. As you approach, you don't realize this house is right on the ocean, but once you open the front door, you are immediately treated to the full beauty that the ocean has to offer. My only regret is that we were always out and about, and didn't get the chance to view any of the sunsets while we were there, nor did we get to use the firepit. If you rent this, budget some time to enjoy the amenities as well!

We just returned from this beautiful home. Can't recommend it highly enough. Breathtaking views, comfortable surroundings, clean, owner easy to work with and the location is great! The outdoor firepit is awesome. The hardest part was leaving. We hope to be back someday! Great getaway for a family from the midwest!

We have stayed at several ocean front properties in the San Diego area over the years, looking for the "right" house for us. And we have found it with this house in LaJolla. The house is well-maintained, nicely decorated, and very welcoming. From the two wonderful decks, we were able to see the dolphins swim by several times a day! The owner was very pleasant and very easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

This was a surprise getaway for my husband. he used to live on the ocean many years ago and was longing to see the ocean again. WELL here it is!! nothing between you and the ocean!! We walked on the beach everyday!! It was lovely to listen to the waves and watch dolphins and many surfers. the home was well equipped and we cooked at the home several times, so nice we did not want to leave! this is a place to get away from it and relax; just stay in the home with the hugh wall of windows, have a fire; listen to music with the whole house system or sit outside on 1 of the 2 patios (one which has an outdoor firepit) TRULY ROMANTIC!

We returned for Feb and March 2009 to your beautiful spot with the best views in town!! We love it here and hope to return next year, God willing. You don't need Barbara Walters to tell you, "Enjoy the View"

Dec. 2008: This was a great house and we had a fantastic time. My first thought was that the quality is really understated in the listing! Owner was very easy to work with, the whole process was smooth. The only disappointing thing was we had to leave. I highly recommend this rental.

We stayed at your beautiful home in February and March 2008. Everyday, as we looked out from the windows and decks, we 'pinched' ourselves that what we were seeing was real! Such a lovely spot and gracious home you have!
