Perfect winter ski house, very close to slopes and tubing, great fireplace to dry ski wear for the next morning and a cozy Jacuzzi for telling tales of the trails. Owner Description
We live in Delaware County Pennsylvania. Our chilren are 7, 5 and 1 and they love goin to the Ski House. Unfortunately, being involved with Ice Hockey prevents us from using the house as much as we'd like to, so we like to share our home with others when we can't use it.
Why the Owner Chose Jack Frost Mountain
We've had JFBB season passes for 10 years but used to have a home that was a 20 minute ride from the Ski Area. A few years ago this home became available and we snatched it up. Our home is located in the East Woods section of Snow Ridge Village, right next to the ski trails. We picked this unit because we can ski in and out when there is enough natural snow in the woods. During the day we can easily come home for lunch, hot chocolate or to take a break. The Kids" Grand Parents enjoy walking to the trail to watch them ski/board by. Now we enjoy not having to drive and and park the car when we want to ski!
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Because we are so close to the ski trail we don't have to drive to the lodge when we want to ski. It is nice to go when you want, instead of coming and going from the mountain as a group we can all come and go at our pace. It is so cool to get out of the car upon arrival and hear the snow making equipment at work making fresh snow for the next day. When the kids were too young to ski they could hang back at the house instead of the crowded lodge while mom and dad took turns skiing. At the end of the day the fire place and hot tub make for a very cozy Apres Ski hang out.

We had a wonderful time during our get-away! Thanks for making our visit to the Poconos so enjoyable! Friends of our joined us for part of our stay so there were 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 11-13) - there was plenty of room. The place was clean and well-stocked. Our plans were to ski, but mother nature didn't quite cooperate. However, we found our way to Nick's Lake House for dinner on the rainy night and the Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock the next day. We then got one great day of skiing! The boys have already requested that we return next year!

Seven friends and myself rented this house for a weekend in Oct to get away from Philly for a weekend. The house is very well maintained and fully stocked with anything you could need. The hot tub was the best feature! A very nice get away spot that we hope to visit again next year.

What an unusual weekend we had in the Poconos. We were planning on seeing “the most spectacular leaf display in years” but what we got was 5 inches of snow! Instead of going out and enjoying the scenery we had to stay in. But, surprisingly we really enjoyed ourselves inside. The décor is a bit dated and we didn’t like the water but the hot tub was in a room right off of the master bedroom and while we were floating we were watching the snow fall in the woods. They also had a Quadra Fire insert (same as ours at home) and we got a blaze going and enjoyed turning out the lights and watching the flames swirl while the snow fell. We were very cozy. We’re not big TV fans but they had a huge one in the living room and we had fun watching the Steelers larger than life. During the one time the sun came out, we wandered around in the woods and found the ski slopes and walked up to the lodge. The king size bed looked new and was incredibly comfortable. Also, the appliances looked new. Everything was neat as a pin. Our favorite part of the weekend was the late checkout. What a wonderful idea! Instead of rushing to get up and out, we slept in, went to lunch, and leisurely packed to go home. Great place. Great value.
