Located on the 12th floor of the area's newest luxury high-rise, Lighthouse 1209 offers high-speed wireless internet,stylish accommodations, contemporary amenities, and a convenient location nestled between undeveloped seashore and the entertainment of downtown Gulf Shores.
The list of appealing features at The Lighthouse seems endless: a heated indoor pool, two outdoor pools (including a zero-entry pool for the kids), hot tubs, an ocean front workout room, sauna, three stories of covered parking, and on-site management.
Upstairs at condo 1209, an oversized balcony (8 feet deep and 24 feet long) is furnished with a lounge, high table and four chairs for sunbathing or outdoor dining.
Inside, stylish furnishings maximize the unit's unbelievable ocean views. Sink into the living room sectional or take a bath in the master suite's jacuzzi tub.
The condo comfortably sleeps six. There is a king bed in the master suite and a sectional sofa and inflatible mattress for the living room.
The condo's bonus room has a television and a day bed and trundel bed (or two twin beds). We don't call this room a second bedroom (although most people do!) because there isn't a closet. But a full bathroom with walk-in shower is directly across the hall, and a small bureau and luggage racks make the room just right.
If it's your turn to fix dinner, no problem. You can still watch the ocean from a kitchen designed and fully equipped for cooking.(Yes,the knives are sharp, and there's a shrimp pot too!)
When you're ready to do some exploring outside the Lighthouse complex, recreation and restaurants are located nearby. Don't forget to check out the Wharf, Alabama's premiere destination resort on the Intracoastal Waterway. Newly opened this year, The Wharf offers boutiques, cafes, a 10,000-seat amphitheater and the tallest Ferris wheel in the Southeast.

Owner Description
My husband and I first vacationed in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores when I was pregnant with our daughter. Twenty years later, we are the proud owners of half a dozen properties, which we manage ourselves. We live in Memphis, Tennessee, where we work in media (radio and newspapers) and love to cook gourmet meals. We take the eight-hour drive to Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast as often as possible, which is to say, we are never at the beach enough!

Waking up every morning on this 12 floor balcony and having a cup of java and watching the dolphins play while you relax is just heaven! You can stay in and just chill or go downstairs and enjoy the fantastic facilities of 2 outdoor pools or 2 heated jacuzzi's or even a sauna, or you can even use the well equipped workout room. Covered parking with on-site security personnel and friendly staff make this one of the most sought after properties in Gulf Shores. We will be back! I took my daughter to the property October 09 for her 16th birthday. We had an incredible time the view is wonderful and the beds are super cozy! Pam is a doll and was good to us!!!! Would stay again in a heart beat!!! I would also mention that my daughter has a developmental disability and the room was very easy for her to get around in and the property was as well!!!

Just returned from our 6 night stay. Our family had an absolutely wonderful time. The beach was great and the pool was too!!!! The condo is even better than Pam describes. We will be back. My husband and I could have stayed forever! I hope everyone will ignore the media and head on down to the Gulf. I've never seen the crowd so low. Never waited to eat anywhere, and that's a first.

We had a great vacation in Gulf Shores again. We loved this condo. The wireless was great and we never had any problems with it. The beds were comfortable and the condo was clean and quiet. We went on our first dolphin tour with Cold Mil Fleet and had a great time. Would definately do it again. I would highly reccomend this condo for your next visit to Gulf Shores.

Pam, The stay at your condo was just what we all needed, especially me! It is so beautifully decorated. The floor-to-ceiling sliding doors made it seem like you are standing right on the ocean. The comfortable bed and couch made it easy for me to want to spend time in the room when it got too hot outside! I especially loved the huge balcony. I hope to return again next year. Thanks!
