Our farmhouse, located in the Valley Hamlet of Les Alazards at the foot of Mont Ventoux, is simply and cleanly restored and full of light. It has exposed stone, Moroccan tiles, and high ceilings with exposed beams. Both the small and large terraces offer views of time-preserved Provencal Valley with grape vines, cherry and apricot orchards with a backdrop of limestone and oak hills.
The GR4 path to the Mont Ventoux summit passes the courtyard gate. The graveled courtyard is walled in ancient stone. A short drive to excellent restaurants, galleries, Roman sights, boulangeries, and the markets of Vaison-la-Romaine and other local villages. Acclaimed local wines, and Gigondas and Chateauneuf-du-Pape are 30 and 45 minutes' drive, respectively.
The house has three main bedrooms (sleeps 6) and a large, fully equipped eat-in-kitchen (though we often dine on the terrace upstairs) and one and a half baths. Two twin convertible sofa beds in the living room are suitable for children. In addition, a detached unit ('Gite'), with an entry on the courtyard and one private entry, offers two floors of living space, full kitchen below, sleeping quarters above (sleeps three) and a full bath. The Gite may be rented in addition to or separately from the house.
Pets and children may be considered. Please contact us to discuss your needs. Check out the link to more photos below (under 'Rate Details.')

This restored 18th century farmhouse is situated in a rural valley near Mt Ventoux in northern Provence, in the ‘preAlps’ east of the Rhône. The house has stunning views of limestone mountains, with a long-distance footpath to the top of Mt Ventoux adjacent to the building. The valley is agricultural: cherries, apricots, and vineyards of the Côtes du Ventoux appellation. Only 10 km away distant are vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône, 20-40 km to the celebrated appellations Gigondas, Vacqueras, and Chateauneuf du Pape. Hike through the extraordinary landscape, visit (and taste) at a Gigondas winery established in 110 AD, visit Roman traces (including Pont du Gard, 1h west), and otherwise explore the region. The nearby village of Malaucene (7 km) has all the essentials: small supermarket, fresh grocer, three bakeries, doctors, vet, a ‘tabac’, a ‘presse’, two bicycle shops, and several delightful cafés and restaurants. The house is located in the valley of Beaumont du Ventoux. It has no through traffic so it’s remarkably quiet, yet still very close to town. ...morecollapse
