Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2002
Born and brought up locally on Mount Desert Island. Granddaughter of a light house keeper. Mother of 3, and grandmother of 7 children. Married to a sailing enthusiast; we're planning to sail around the world within 2 years. Was a building contractor for 35 years and am now retired.
Why the Owner Chose Trenton
It is a beauty of a house with a lot of local history. It also has an incredible view of the ocean with Mount Desert Island and mountains in its vista. Not to mention a Koi pond , perennial gardens, and low taxes!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Incredible sunsets, that brings forth fireflies and singing frogs. When the morning mist rises it gives forth an array of dragonflies that balance on Lily pads. Then, when you think it can't get any better, a great blue heron glides down from the sky, which make the woodpecker and the flying squirrels freeze.
The Grandchildren enjoy the barbecue's in the back yard's gazebo. In the winter months, they go ice skating on the pond, then we all retire to the house and watch another wondrous sunset while sipping hot coco.

Positive Rating
Crosshaven was a great guest house! It provided a central location, plus had a wonderful downeast "Home" feel. The pond and all the wild life were a joy to watch, and feed daily. The view of Cadillac Mountain and Acadia across the water was spectacular! 2007 was a Perfect Season! Thank you, Kevin and Margery Buck
