A Peaceful Get-Away

We arrived at the cabin in the evening and marveled at the peaceful serenity. The next morning we truly came to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding area. The trails surrounding the house offered my family an opportunity to enjoy nature, get fresh air, and get some exercise. The pond was the center of attention, with my children trying to get a close look at the turtles, me teaching them how to fly fish, or all of us simply sitting in a lawn chair and enjoying the afternoon. The cabin itself offered a very comfortable couch, plenty of room for a family of five, and a large kitchen to cook some meals or just socialize around the table. Walmart is conveniently close for last minute groceries, and a host of resturants are nearby for those 'lazy' nights that we didn't feel like cooking. This was definitely one of our favorite family get-aways, and I would recommend it for anybody needing a peaceful vacation.

The cabin is beautifully constructed, very secluded, romantic, and comfortable. It has a nice deck with a clean, quality hot tub. We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and Rodney even gave us a great deal on a couple of extra days.

This cabin is everything advertised . It was excactly what Dan and I needed.: No neighbors. just piece and quiet. Not having cell service inside the house was GREAT!. Which is where our phones stayed. I loved the full kitchen, outstanding hot tub and stone wood fireplace,...We both enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with our martnins. . We made 1 trip to the super Walmart and got everything we needed and never left the house. It was the R&R we both needed that was way overdue. Thank you for allowing us to bring our pets and your hospitality. We will defininitly come back.

A Restful, Strengthening and Fun Retreat

This cabin is everything advertised .....and MORE. Definitive high points: 100 peaceful acres, trails clearly marked, beautiful accommodations, full kitchen, fabulous hot tub, beautiful area, nice people all around.....ALL GREAT. Our older children had a wonderful time hiking, playing board games, discovering nature, remembering a world without electronics...... We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a happy, exhausting day. They said, "This was the best place to sleep and relax that we ever had." For teenagers, that is HUGE. Our family relaxed, enjoyed ourselves and re-connected with each other. We have Hideaway Haven to thank for that and for a memorable Holiday treat. Hope to do it again soon.

We chose to stay Thanksgiving Week, to be close to Florence to visit with Family. We stayed an extra day because this wonderful place was so perfect to just relax and enjoy the Pee Dee Area. We enjoyed everything this property had to offer. And the owner made sure we had access to everything we needed. The listing is 100% correct on every aspect. This is a clean, well maintained property, that we were able to enjoy with our pets! 100% BONUS! :) HIGHLY recommend this wonderful escape, we plan to stay again sometime!!

Great Romantic Getaway!

My husband and I were looking to celebrate our "belated" anniversary by getting away from it all. This cute little cabin really did the trick. It is private, quiet, secluded, romantic but with all the amenities we enjoy. We stayed in all week-end only venturing out for a starter log. There is not much shopping nearby, so be sure to bring all of your supplies. The hosts provide firewood for sale, but you will need kindling or a starter log and in the colder weather, the fireplace was awesome. We also enjoyed the hot tub and just hanging out watching movies and cooking together. We highly recommend this very cozy romantic cabin to reconnect and remember what is important!

Awsome Family Vacation

We were searching for the perfect place for our family vacation--I think we found the perfect place. The cabin is nestled back in the woods on the property under the trees so even on a hot summer day it really was nice outside on the deck or screened in porch. Our three teenage boys loved roaming through woods on the golf cart and their bikes. Our dog also enjoyed the freedom of being outside in the woods following along. I am pretty sure we used the hot tub every night. You could sit in there and listen to the crickets and see the water glow on the side of the cabin. We did venture over to Florence one day to shop when the weather wasn't too good for outside activity and went to Myrtle Beach to have some fun at the beach a couple of days. The boys loved having dinner cooked on the charcoal grill and said the hamburgers were the best they had ever had. Rodney was so pleasant and eager to help do whatever. The cabin looked just like the photos and everything was neat and tidy. We hope to be back sometime soon.

An AMAZING Romantic Getaway!

This cabin is by far one of the best places to go for a romantic getaway weekend. From the moment we drove down the secluded path to the cabin and stepped inside the door, we were already planning our next trip back! We grilled out the first night and then relaxed in the hot tub. The hot tub has lights that provide the perfect ambiance at night. The atmosphere of this place is like a little slice of heaven for anyone who wants to completly let go and enjoy some time surrounded by nature. At night you can open the door to the screened in porch and unwind on the porch swing listening to the owls in the trees or light a fire and take some time to enjoy the reason you came there in the first place. We spent one day at one of the local attractions (La Belle Amie Vineyard) about 50 minutes away that was suggested on Rodney's site. We enjoyed a live band and wine tasting. I am so glad we picked the Hideaway Haven for our mini getaway it was such a wonderful place, and the details of the cabin itself are so unique. Thank you so much for creating such tranquil place. We will never forget this trip and can't wait to book again! Don't pass this cabin up...its 1 in a million!

My husband and I were in the area on a house-hunting trip due to his job, and due to our dogs we hate staying in hotels. I happened upon this place on VRBO and it was awesome. The owner was so nice and willing to help out on such short notice and most importantly welcomed our dogs! You have to see this place to believe it, you are stunned from the minute you see the cabin until the minute you hit that jacuzzi! We were stressed out with everything going on, and this cabin was perfect to relax in with the dogs. The dogs loved the walks in the woods, and I loved sitting on that porch swing! I also loved the waterfall, the staircase, and just everything! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Quiet and peaceful retreat for our anniversary

This cabin is truly secluded and peaceful but still close to town if you need anything. Great local restaurants - T Roys and Dry Dock. Antiques warehouse in Marion. Visited the Riverwalk in Conway. Everything it is advertised to be!! Enjoyed the cabin's rustic charm, but loved the modern amenities.....huge deck, screened in porch, cable tv, dvd player, gas stove. The hot tub was super relaxing! Would definitely book again and again!! Great place to get away from it all and reconnect. Rodney is a personable and professional host.

The cabin is everything we had hoped for and more. A perfect place for a couple to focus on how deep their love is for each other. The isolation gives the oppurtunity to focus on each other. We had the best New Years Eve EVER!The kitchen was equipt with everything you could need, we had ribs, shrimp, potatos, pasta. It was awesome to use the gas stove and oven. The hot tub and gril were great perks to have included. The pictures do not do it justice, we were blown away when we arrived. We are looking forward to coming back next New Years. Loved the water fall.

Ok, so you walk up to the deck and see the hot tub, walk in and put away your stuff and then head for the hot tub. Then at night when it cools off get in again..we really enjoyed the 6 person hot tub. The cabin staircase was one of a kind. The website is great but you have to see it. Nice and secluded no other cabins on top of you. Went to Myrtle Beach and was glad to be back to the slower pace of Hideaway Haven. Thanks Rodney for such a beautiful cabin, it was a great getaway!! My children loved catching frogs and turtles from the pond.The cabin is beautiful and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was a treat and the kids enjoyed it as well. We were able to share this weekend with our friends Adam and Trina. We only traveled 55 miles from home but it felt that we were in the mountains. We ate on the deck in the evenings and could not have gone to a finer restaurant. The nighttime fires in the firepit were great. Such a cozy atmosphere. Campfires in the cool air, long walks in the trails and the hot tub was nice and relaxing.Although my husband is an avid fisherman, I did out fish him with a 3 lb bass. Great place to have your dog run free and enjoy the 100 acres. We are celebrating 40 years of marriage, and have shared lots of memories together, this was a great cabin , loved the peace and quiet, hope to come back and have our children and their families join us. This is a magnificient place for a secluded, romantic getaway. We stayed 5 days and could have stayed 5 more. The nature trails were wide and clear. This cabin has all the convieniences you need in a getaway. We had planned this trip for nearly a year and our visit at Hideaway Haven exceeded our expextations. My husband and I love the Hideaway Haven. We have been to the cabin twice in the last two years. It is always such a treat and we always find new things to do. We live in Columbia and don't always have the time to drive to the moutains for a weekend getaway. THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE! It is so secluded, yet so close to town if you need anything. The tourist , traffic and niose of our daily life at the beach has added to the stress of our jobs, taking a toll on our well being, so our respite at Hideaway Haven is just what we needed to rest and regroup.The cabin is so comfortable , the hottub is so relaxing. The surroundings are so peacful. The waterfall was very nice. We could not have had a better retreat or host.
