Location: Hammondsport, Keuka Lake, Finger Lakes, New York, USA
Accommodations: House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 10)
The Taylor Wine Company once owned the land overlooking scenic Keuka Lake, and many of these distinctive "wine houses" still dot the landscape of the vine-covered hills on the Keuka Wine Trail. Terry Hill Holiday House is a 2900 Sq. Ft. Queen-Anne Victorian with an unusually open layout on the first floor, providing a fabulous entertaining space with deck, porches, and stunning views of Keuka Lake.
The 3 acre property is surrounded by vineyards, and is within walking distance of Dr. Franks Viniferia, one of Keuka's finest vinters.
The first floor offers a 40 foot kitchen/dining area, which opens onto the deck overlooking the lake and the vineyards. The kitchen/dining area is also open to the large Living Room, with it's bay windows, and the South side porch.
A large (20x20') 1st floor master, with ensuite bath, opens off the living room, or privately, off the front hall. Upstairs, the 2nd floor Master Suite dominates the lake side, (South East corner) offering incredible views and light. It's large ensuite bath features a deep soaking tub and a glass shower.
The large front (North West corner) bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen sized bed. The additional 2 bedrooms both offer twin beds, (and toys in the closets!) Spacious hall bath offers tub and shower.
The Keuka Wine Trail features area winery tours, and a shuttle bus is available for this, as well as the other vineyard tours in the Finger Lakes region.
Lake access is available in Hammondsport, at the town beachs, which have lawns, lifeguards, docks, and restroom facilities. A state park offers swimming and boating at Branchport, too. Boat and Kayak rentals are available in many places: assistance with booking is available.

DEAR TERRY, JUST A NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE ENJOYED YOUR HOUSE, AS WELL AS THE WHOLE FINGER LAKES AREA. THE VIEWS, FROM EVERY WINDOW IN THE HOUSE, WERE FANTASTIC. NICE QUIET STREET WAS A WELCOME RESPIT FOR ME, AS I TOIL IN THE CITY TRAFFIC ALL DAY LONG, AS A TROLLEY DRIVER FOR THE MBTA. WE BOTH ENJOYED THE SNUG HARBOR RESTAURANT, AS WELL AS THE COFFEE AT THE LITTLE PLACE IN THE BASEMENT ACROSS FROM THE COMMON. GREAT ICE CREAM NEXT DOOR AS WELL. WE MADE REPEATED TRIPS BACK TO THE GENERAL STORE IN BRANCHPORT, FOR THE VERY FINE BAKED GOODS. WE VISITED THE CURTISS MUSEUM ON OUR WAY HOME. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! WE HOPE TO RETURN AGAIN, TO YOUR LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN. IT WAS THE SHORTEST TRIP TO ITALY WE EVER MADE. REGARDS,

What an incredibly beautiful location your home is in! We enjoyed our vacations so much ... It was a perfect setting for us. We ate all the meals we could on the deck, enjoying the view of the lake and vineyards...What a PERFECT setting for a celebration. Heard many family comments to the effect of, "Oh we should definitely come back here!" Hopefully we were good enough guests that we can come back! Thanks for all your help; this was truly a pleasure in planning and a delightful time. Many thanks,
