Enjoy coffee (or cocktails) on the front porch and say "Hi" as neighbors and other town folks pass by in this 'front porch' community. Bicycles for moving around town more quickly are available for your use as are beach chairs and air mattresses for floating in the bay.
Enjoy a stroll down Mason Avenue to check out the unique shops, galleries and restaurants, including our local Irish Pub. Also take time to explore the shops and restaurants at the marina. A Nicklaus and Palmer Golf Course, part of the Bay Creek Resort Development, are available for the golfers in the group. Tennis courts, a kids park ,a 1/4 mile paved walkway, a gazebo and a fountain can be found in Central Park as well as a skateboard park. For the fisherman, take advantage of the town fishing pier or launch your own boat from the marina or town harbor.
Enjoy, relax and whatever you do, don't miss a single sunset. The only spot on the East Coast of the US where the sun sets over the water is Cape Charles.

Add to that the fact that Cape Charles is built on a peninsula that juts into the Chesapeake Bay, offering a harbor on one side, a beautiful beach and a brand new marina on the third side, and you have the ideal vacation spot for those who want to enjoy the relatively quiet life in a beautiful setting.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home boast three full bedrooms, all on the second floor, a charming front porch where you can relax and talk with neighbors or just enjoy the breezes, a large side yard perfect for barbecuing, and a living room with a large screen TV and quite a collection of DVDs. The kitchen has been recently updated and the dining room is very large and spacious. A perfect home away from home.

We really enjoyed our stay last June. The town is cute and the beach was great for the kids, no killer waves! The house is clean, comfortable and has a great kitchen. The neighbors we met were very friendly. The front porch is great for drinking coffee and meeting people walking by! We had a truly relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives! There's even an ice cream truck with music that passes by the corner...the kids loved this! We highly recommend Kenmar Cottage!

We loved the Kenmar Cottage! We chose this town because it is a golf cart community. Our week included renting a golf cart {worth ever penny}, carting all over town to see the Victorian homes, jet skiing, kayaking, fishing, sitting on a beautiful beach, and the bay is gorgeous, and just relaxing in this beautiful home. The Kenmar is decorated perfectly for the age of the home, the mattresses and sheets allowed us to sleep better than in our own home! The house was very comfortable for the 4 of us {all adults} and our 2 dogs. A lovely park is a few houses away, very dog friendly! The owners were great. We will visit this home again!

We immediately felt right at home at Kenmar Cottage. The location is perfect.. just a short walk to the delightful downtown area to shop or dine or to the beach to enjoy the sunset. The home was well-kept, with an old-fashioned charm. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen and relaxing on the front porch. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely recommend Kenmar Cottage to others....and can't wait to return ourselves!

We loved our stay at Kenmar Cottage. The home was wonderful, clean, and exactly as advertised, and we loved that they're pet friendly without feeling like the house had ever been overrun. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and should we choose to vacation in Cape Charles again, we will certainly be staying here!!

We enjoyed a wonderful extended weekend in Kenmar Cottage. The occupants of the back bedroom were thrilled to discover the rear staircase leading from their room to the kitchen... And since we entertained some guests, the fact that there were ample dishes and drinking glasses was much appreciated. Great kitchen to cook in -- I haven't cooked with gas in years! Having reliable wi-fi access was a plus!

This is a lovely cottage, and you'll have all the conveniences of home. Perfect location on a quiet side street with easy access to the beach. The house is charming, and the front porch perfect for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. Kenmar will provide a restful and peaceful break from life! We highly recommend it.
