DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
The Riverside Dacha is a tastefully decorated three-bedroom home with a large wrap-around deck nestled in a grove of majestic redwood trees. Dacha is the Russian word for a house in the countryside, a peaceful retreat where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Riverside Dacha is conveniently located just 3 minutes west of downtown Guerneville (right off of River Road). The Dacha is a short distance to a private Russian River beach, spas, restaurants and shops. Armstrong Woods State Park, the spectacular Sonoma coast, the town of Healdsburg with its world-class dining, and dozens of local wineries are a short drive away.
Our home offers a spacious open floor plan with newly refinished hardwood floors, a step down dining room and a large deck, making it a great place for group events and entertaining. The Dacha comfortably accomodates up to 7 people: two bedrooms with queen beds, one with a twin, and a queen size pull out couch in the living room. The house is centrally heated so you can be sure to stay warm during cooler nights.
The living room has vaulted ceilings with six skylights, which provide a wealth of natural light and views of redwood treetops. It is decorated in a cozy but modern style. Other amenities include a soft couch, large leather armchairs, TV/DVD, games, books and dial-up internet access. There is also a cozy sitting area with a comfortable leather couch.
The fully stocked kitchen has everything you could possibly need during your stay (wine glasses, pots/pans, silverware, etc.). We also have a charcoal grill on deck that can be used by guests. Sunbathe on the deck then cool off by swinging in the hammock while looking up at the redwoods.
The master bedroom has a new platform bed, soft shag rugs, and a private bath with shower. The second bedroom has a deluxe queen bed, and an adjacent full bath. There is also a cozy third bedroom looks out onto the deck and has a twin bed and is separate from the main quarters. All beds have wonderfully soft mattress pads, linens and down comforters.
