Greetings to all those who follow our wonderful adventure here. We hope you will be greeted by the beautiful Green Mango Hummingbird, the songful Bananaquit and perhaps be lucky enough to spot the Yellow-Crown Night Heron. The wind, the warmth, the sun, the crashing waves, all heighten the wonderful romance we shared at this villa.

We just returned from a fantastic 10-day holiday at Villa Kulala and can't wait for our next visit. The photos do not give the full scope of how large and well appointed the Villa is. We were 3 couples and we all had ample space to relax, read (the gazebo at top of infinity pool with view of Devil's Bridge my favorite) and enjoy meals from the lovely kitchen on our outdoor dining room. We swam in the Bay down the stone steps of the Villa, but our favorite was to walk (10 minutes) down the hill/road to Long Bay Beach. The guys enjoyed a drink at the bar as we lounged on the sandy beach and swam in the warm sea. We loved Kristina, the chef, cooking us two fresh fish dinners - what a treat as she shops, cooks, serves and cleans up! The house was spotless, Tanya the housekeeper lovely and not at all intrusive, and every question answered promptly by the owners. My only complaint is that "Trivial Pursuit" was the English version, and unfair for this lone American! The roads around Antigua are narrow and full of pot-holes, so we did most of our sight-seeing during the day and kicked back at night enjoying the clear sky and bright stars. We are all world travelers and have enjoyed 5-star accomadations in the past but this is a magical spot. It was so peaceful and serene with the sound of the waves and winds and rain showers at night. Admiral's Inn in Nelson's Dockyard, Catherine's Cafe also in English Harbor (especially if you're having a birthday!) and OJ's at Jolly Harbor had fantastic food. One of the best vacations in years!
Owner response:I am so glad that Kulala exceeded your expectations, just what I like to hear!! We look forward to welcoming you all again on another visit.

Villa Kulala is one of the most beautiful spots on the island. It rests on a point overlooking Devil's Bridge and the Atlantic. With it's private pool and snorkleing platform you really don't even need to leave this piece of paradise. The compound itself is spacious and open providing breathtaking views wherever you look. My only suggestions would be to hire a cook as much as possible because shopping on the island can be a bit of a headache and cooking and cleaning can get a bit redundant. Also if you are a snorkling enthusiast, I don't recommend gioing in December because the "December Winds" can be quite strong and the water is often cloudy. However the natural beauty of the location will quickly sooth any stress caused by these minor inconviences.

This has been a magical and memorable week. I will never forget the chorus of wows as Christiane showed us around your beautiful home in which it has been such a privilege to stay.We have all adored every minute of the week, which just seemed to disappear. We've laughed, we've celebrated, and we have enjoyed; who could ask for more? I even got a smile out of Mama, whose pizzas and pasta were excellent! If you will have us we will be back, but not for an anniversary which clearly falls at the wrong time in Antigua's meterological calendar. But nothing could interfere with these stunning views!

We had a wonderful fortnight of perfect weather. The reef at the bottom of the garden offered plenty of pretty little fish to introduce nine year old Ana to snorkelling, and just enough big ones with large teeth and spines to stop me from getting complacent

My mother and I just returned from an 11 day stay at Villa Kulala and were just in awe of everything! So much thought and detail have gone into the construction and decoration that even days after we arrived we would still find things that truly delighted us. There wasn't one thing there that I wouldn't love to have in my home. The kitchen is completely stocked with every gadget you could ever need. Great TV reception and WiFi. We were able to watch Survivor and keep up with e-mail. The beds so comfortable that my bad back never bothered me once upon awakening. The showers were so exotic & adored the L'Occtane shower products. The infinity pool so refreshing in that hot weather - day & night. There was no odor to the pool water because of a salt-chlorine system. The gardens and landscaping were absolutely beautiful. Hummingbirds and Bananaquits would constantly flit from flower to flower adding to the tropical atmosphere. The villa is situated on probably one of the best pieces of land in Antigua. The views across to Devil's Bridge where there were often donkeys and goats grazing never failed to delight. Pelicans would soar overhead and hawks would land on the Century tree at the property's edge. We snorkeled Dian Bay frequently when we weren't out at one of the many beautiful beaches. Long Bay beach in front of the Beach House restaurant and Dian Bay were really only the two areas that the snorkeling was fairly decent from shore. We didn't do any boat excursions so I can't attest to how that would be. And finally, Christiane, a neighbor and Kulala's property manager was the most gracious and helpful woman we have met. We can't say enough good things about her; she's truly an exceptional person. We loved Villa Kulala and hope to be back some day soon!

The villa is absolutely great and the view is amazing. The attention in every single detail of the house makes you feel so confy and "at home".We spent a lot of time snorkeling in the bay which is full of lobsters, octopus and sting ray. A plus is the game room where you can play pool watching the sea.The cliff is always breezy and you won't suffer for the humidity. The manager and the staff were very kind.

Had an absolutely fabulous time, the quality of the villa was exceptional, and probably had the best location on the island. Will definately be looking to go back - what better recommendation could there be?

Our first visit to Antigua was wonderful due to the friendliness of the people and the stunning Villa Kulala. We have been to many of the islands in the Carribbean and have stayed in many villas, however Villa Kulala truly stands out. Our family really enjoyed all the ameneties that Kulala had to offer and we highly reccommend this Villa for your next visit to Antigua. Thank you to Christiane (house manager) for her excellent reccomendations on restaurants and general info getting around Antigua

Our family spent a week at Villa Kulala during our Spring Break and it was probably the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Villa Kulala was absolutely stunning! The architecture, furnishings and attention to details were superb. The view from the property was amazing. Situated on a penisula overlooking Devils Bridge National Park. It was a very private setting and truly a "one of a kind" place. We spent most days exploring the different beaches around Antigua. Half Moon Beach was probably the nicest beach we found on the island. It was about a 15-20 minute drive from the Villa. We also spent many days hanging around Long Bay Beach (also highly ranked among Antigua beaches) It conveniently located just a few minutes down the road from the Villa. There were three different restaurants at Long Bay Beach so we had plenty of choices when we didn't feel like cooking. Mama's Pasta, Long Bay Beach Resort and a local beach bar that served lunch daily. The Villa manager and staff were very professinal and attentive to anything we needed. I would highly recommend the Villa to anyone looking for a great getaway. If you are considering staying at Villa Kulala and have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. David Parmley

A fantastic three week break in a wonderful villa. Too much good food cooked by the marvellous Charlie has left us all looking like hippos ready to split their skins! It is hard to leave but we will be back - Sting Ray City and the Zip Wires provided days of fun for the children.

Villa Kulala was the perfect place to spend our vacation to Antigua . This was our first trip of many trips to this island. The villa had all the amenities that you could possibly need on a vacation. The architectural design and layout of the villa was incredible. We enjoyed swimming in the infinity edge pool and relaxing on the lounge under the poolside gazebo. Almost every meal was eaten in the open veranda between the kitchen, garden, and the game room. Our bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom with the outdoor shower was a delight. We enjoyed watching the waves crashing out at Devil’s bridge across the bay from our private villa. Our excursions around the island were enjoyable but, we couldn’t wait to get back to the privacy of the villa. A trip to Shirley Height’s is a must on Sunday to watch the steel drum and reggae bands play. We have stayed at many villas throughout the Caribbean ; Villa Kulala is our most favorite.” Best Wishes, Mike and Sherry Barkman , New Jersey , USA

We stayed at Villa Kalula in mid June 2008 and had a wonderful time. For those who wish not to be hassled and relax I would recommend this villa for your vacation. The maid service could not be matched as everything was cleaned numerous times per day and the views from the property are beautiful. Long Bay Beach is wonderful and one of our favorites. Not crowded whatsoever and Mama's Pasta is also very good. I will absolutely visit this villa again.

Peter and I know what it takes to maintain a home that has frequent visitors. You have done an amazing job of thinking through every detail to insure your guests have everything they need and want. This was our last chance of a family vacation for several years to come, and we are all so grateful we spent it at Villa Kulala, island paradise and home to orchestral frogs!
