This house offered everything we wanted in lake accommodation: lots of space, recreational equipment, a well equipped kitchen, proximity to trails and other vacation spots. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and playing table tennis. We went running and walking on nearby trails. We watched the moon rise over the lake and we enjoyed expeditions to other nearby destinations. When we didn't want to cook, we found places to eat in the nearby village. The house is exactly as represented and well maintained.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

We just returned from our visit to Shawnigan Lake and had a wonderful time! The lake was relaxing and the house was just the right size for both my family and my brother's family. The kids loved kayaking on the lake and we all had a very nice vacation.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

The unit was just as it was described on the posting. We utilized the unit for a one week period, during the NAIG games. It was an excellent place to have, as we were a group attending a baseball tournament for the above games. It gave the team a chance to come together; as they had not played together before. The use of the water/outdoor equipment was a bonus; it gave the girls a chance to do thngs together, as well. The only issue that was noted, the need for an ensuite bathroom; having 12 individuals getting ready at the same time - this would have helped. The unit was large enough, that you did not notice the numbers staying together. The unit is a 20 minute drive to Duncan and is very easy to locate from the information provided. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone that asks. You could sit out a night and not worry about bugs/mosquitos - it was great. The owners were very good and responded quickly to any questions asked. Unit was very well maintained and clean.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
