It's only a 5 minute walk to tennis and basketball courts and the Shelter Harbor Inn Restaurant. Another short walk brings you to the lifeguarded swimming area and boat launch on the salt water pond.
A variety of entertainment is nearby; Newport,RI mansions (60 minutes) Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos (30 minutes) Watch Hill, RI shops (15 minutes), scenic Mystic,CT (30 minutes), Providence, RI mall and zoo,(60 minutes). Even closer, Westerly, RI offers a variety of activities, including a public golf course as well as the quaint downtown area with antique shops and Wilcox Park, with nighttime summer concerts and plays. |
