150 yards to beaches of the Royal Coconut Coast. Walk a few yards through a tree-lined path to sand stretching for miles in both directionss. Nothing between you and the water but a small two story resort. Walk out the back lanai to the sand in 2 minutes. Walk to shopping, restaurants and activities at nearby resorts. Or take longer walk for snorkeling and protected ocean swimming at a lava rock enclosed ocean swimming area..

This end-unit has a shaded, front lanai with bistro table for two and water for rinsing off after the beach. The back lanai has a charcoal BBQ and beach supplies. Open the back lanai sliding glass door and entry door and the breezes blow through the living area and kitchen.
Enjoy the beach all day and come home to the convenience of a vacation "home". This is a small complex of 24 units on the ocean side of the highway. This is a ground floor location in a four unit building on the ocean side of the complex. Enjoy the convenience of parking 20 feet from "home", walk past tropical foliage to the small enty lanai. No lobby, no elevators, no stairs. Walk to nearby resort restaurants, Safeway shopping center and entertainment.
Rent a bike! Less than a mile to two sections of the popular coastal bike/walking ocean path with scenic ocean vistas. Proceed north approximately one mile to join the 10 foot wide path for a scenic 2.5 miles walk along the gorgeous beaches and ocean near Kealia. (stop at the picnic pavilions.) Or go south to join a 2.5 mile Lydgate Park segment that runs along beautiful beaches to a fabulous ending at the Wailua Golf Course.
This is one of the few locations on Kauai you could enjoy without a rental car. Take a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. Or let your friends and family take the car for the day while you enjoy the beach in the morning and walk home for lunch. This vacation home is is located on ocean side of the highway adjacent to a grove of palm trees and the Waipouli Beach Resort and the Marriott Courtyard. This narrow strip of land on the ocean side of the highway has upscale resorts within walking distance. Enjoy a different restaurant each night, Friday night movies at the Marriott and afternoon cocktails at the nearby beach bars. Or walk across the street to two large grocery stores; coffee shops; mexican; thai and chinese restaurants. Kauai's best sushi is nearby.

Why the Owner Chose Kapaa
We live on Kauai and we like being able to offer an affordable, 2 bedroom within steps of the beach. We chose this area because of it's close proximity to the coastal walking/biking path. This vacation home is in the heart of the partially complete 16 mile stretch of the bike path. Currently a 2.3 mile section is completed just a short distance to the north and a 2.5 mi section is a short distance to the south. We get postive feedback on our vacation home and enjoy making it a great value.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Since we live on the island, we lovingly maintain this property. Guests can expect a well-maintained and very clean environment. This is one of the few places on Kauai where you can enjoy our island without renting a car. Take a 15 minute taxi from the airport!

We stayed in this property in the second week of January 2012. The stay was very pleasant and memorable. The morning walks to the beach and sun rise was an outstanding experience. The house was in a very convenient location with shops around. The only issue i had was with handling the flies. My girl loved running behind the Rooster every day. Otherwise we had a good time.
Owner response:We are always happy when our guests like our property and hope we can welcome them back. The guest encountered a brief time when the tradewinds were not blowing. This is an unusual event particularly in the month of December. During those times there can be flies around the Wailua River bank especially when walking in the early evening. We hope the guest will return.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

My partner & I stayed here with another couple and we had such a wonderful visit to Kauai. The location is excellent, with grocery stores & restaurants within walking distance. You can also walk to a trail that runs for 2.5 miles along the beach - especially nice if you want to get some running in during your visit. The condo itself was lovely. Very clean with all the needed amenities, including snorkeling gear, beach towels & boogie boards. The kitchen has all the things you'll need and the living area is very comfortable. We have no complaints at all and would happily stay here on our next visit. Special thanks to Mike for his attentiveness to us during the Tsunami warning.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Our family of five recently stayed at this condo and we had a fabulous time. The owners were really great to deal with and the location is just about perfect – minutes from groceries, the beach, great coffee and downtown Kapa’a. The location is nice and central if you are planning on spending time on other parts of the island. This is a nice quiet complex and the unit was clean, well-furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. We would recommend the unit and would stay here again ourselves.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Unit is very comfortably furnished, especially the beds. Great Kapa'a location. Within walking distance of stores and restaurants and beach. Would be very comfortable recommending this unit to anyone, would definitely plan on staying here again ourselves. Had a problem with the hall toilet the first day, they had someone out within a half hour of calling. Very comfortable for 2 couples.

This property is very comfortable for two couples. The furniture is updated and the beds are wonderful. Very quiet area and close to the beach. The air conditioning was very much appreciated.
