The Lake Arenal area is a less visited part of Costa Rica with the perfect climate of 80 degrees during the day and 65 degrees at night. The views of the lake and mountains will take your breath away and these views are around almost every curve in the road. Your stay at Casa Sarah can be as relaxing as you would like. The newly tiled pool is the prettiest pool in the area and has a marvelous view. It is always sparkling clear! Nearby you can be an adventurer and take a canopy zipline ride, windsurf on the lake or horseback ride. How about lunch with the tucans at a nearby restaurant.
We now have YIFI. This means you can finish your work or e mails quickly and get back to relaxing.
World famous Tabacon Resort is at the east end of the lake, so make a day of it at the hot spring and spa. Later, dine at the foot of Arenal Volcano and watch the eruption of glowing lava as a romantic backdrop. Yes, it is safe.
Awaken to the sounds of the birds. The howler monkeys can be heard in the distance. The birds, wildlife and lush landscapes are unparalleled.
In the evening, you might try one of the many restaurants nearby or you may wish to have a romantic dinner at home by the fireplace. As food plays a big part in our lives, we have a formal dining room that seats eight featuring a colorful antique Ottoman chandelier and a hand woven rug from Eastern Turkey. We often have breakfast with the excellent coffee from the region on the patio with a view of Rainbow Bay and the Monta Verde mountains.
This part of Costa Rica offers the authentic warmth of the local Ticos who are very friendly and are living the country life. One can't help but fall in love with this place.

My husband and I live part of the year in Florida and part in Costa Rica. We leave Florida in the summer for the perfect temperatures of mountains of Costa Rica and there are no hurricanes here. We really love Nuevo Arenal and have made many good friends.

We decided to buy property in Nuevo Arenal because the views are some of the best in the world, the climate is near perfect and the locals are sweet gentle people.

Our house is very quiet and has beautiful views. We love watching the birds.
I love to cook and find wonderful fruits vegetables in Nuevo Arenal. I get chickens from a farmer and fish from Henry who drives a truck up from the coast on Fridays. What could be better?

I could not have been more enchanted with my stay! This house is the bomb... It's colorful, comfortable, well maintained, and really has all the amenities one could dream of having in a guest villa. Just loved it here. It was close to everything and far enough to feel like we were locals... Great place to stay. Owners are awesome and yes, we will return!

This is exactly as advertised, colorful, fun, well maintained, nice decor and amenities, beautiful view and wildlife (my children and I spent one evening with binoculars trying to out do each other spotting birds). Photos are accurate, pool is nice. The caretakers are attentive and kind. Nuevo Arenal is a Tico village, with a touch of western artisans and some upscale grace notes. Caution, the road to Arenal at the opposite end of the lake is a typical mountainous Tico road - fantastically beautiful, narrow, winding two lane roller coaster. 45 - 60 mins. to the activities in Arenal. We found that Monteverde was a 2 hour bone jarring ride at the top of the world. Well worth it, the cloud forest there is fascinating.
