WELCOME TO CHARACTERS CORNER!
Welcome to our Beautiful Disney Vacation Home, located in the elegant gated community known as Formosa Gardens Estates. Our home is located only two and 1/2 miles from the main entrance to all of the Disney Parks! We are the original owners of this home having built it in 2002 and we make every effort to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have gone to great lengths to take what is the existing luxury standard for vacation homes a step further. We are constantly in the process of updating and re-furnishing our home to keep things nice and new. Cleanliness is our FIRST priority. We understand that there is a lot of variation in standards with vacation homes and it is our goal to make sure you are happy with our home. We take a lot of pride in making sure your stay is magical! We are very fortunate to have a property manager who lives IN the neighborhood and who will be available in the event that you need any type of assistance or have any issues during your stay. Our property manager only manages a small number of homes and it is for this reason that she is able to take such good care of our home. We have been told by many guests (on several occasions) that our home is the cleanest that they have ever rented. :)
Our home offers the following features and amenities: A huge in-ground pool for you and your guests to enjoy, surrounded by a hot tub/spa and a Mickey Mouse kiddie pool which both have waterfalls into the large in-ground pool. The Mickey Mouse pool is 18 inches deep in the center and six inches deep in Mickey's ears. Our pool's deck/lounging area is extra large in order to accommodate a large group of people comfortably. This is sooo important! We find that most people spend most of their time at the pool! (Us included!) The pool area also contains a very nice outdoor dining area. Make special note of the size of our pool and deck as you will likely spend a lot of time there!
Our home is 3,100 square foot, (this does not include the game room!) It has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and is located on a very large and private lot. Three of the bedrooms are master suites (two kind and one queen), all with en-suite bathrooms (one with a Jacuzzi tub). There are additionally two twin bedrooms containing two twin beds in each of these themed rooms..one of themed rooms is our POOH room and the other is MICKEY AND MINNIE... and finally the newest bedroom added in April of 2011 is ROYALTY themed and this bedroom has a full sized bed. The Princess/Royalty bedroom can be accessed through the main master bedroom french doors or the french doors can be locked and there is a separate/private entrance to this room from the living room.
All of our furnishings are top of the line designer, name brand furnishings from companies such as Broyhill, Lexington, Hooker, and of course, the Disney Store! All of our bedrooms will offer a TV/DVD combination. The family room (which includes a leather sectional sleeper queen sofa ) will include a home theater surround sound system. An assortment of family-oriented DVDs will be provided. The bonus room/master suite (the only upstairs room) offers a king-size bed, along with an extra pull out sofa in the same room.
Our gourmet kitchen, with island and attached eat-in kitchen table area offers all of the comforts of home, and more!! There is a separate formal dining room area, along with a formal living room. Finally, the entire home is equipped with WIFI WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS. Our garage features a fantastic game room with air Hockey, a pool Table and foosball, and of course, there is a washer and dryer located on the first floor for your convenience.

My family and I had a spectacular stay at this beautiful property. The 6 bedroom home had everything we needed and wanted. It was absolutely perfect for our first vacation to Disney World. We didn’t stay at Disney but were literally 5 minutes away via a short cut on Sherberth Road which the owner graciously included in her email to us with the directions and access codes. The added bonus of not staying at Disney included having a private pool and especially the comforts of feeling at home.
The owner was wonderful and prompt at answering all of our questions and truly helpful and attentive to meeting all of our needs. She has done a great job at keeping her vacation home up to date and very cozy. We cooked every meal at the house; breakfast, lunch and dinner - and the kitchen was fully equipped with every pot and pan you could need along with proper cooking utensils.
Our family spent most of the time together in the kitchen and family living room talking, eating and watching movies. But if anyone wanted to go off on their own it was nice having a TV in each bedroom.
I can honestly say I would recommend this property to any of my friends and family and know without a doubt they would have a great experience there. The property owner is a very generous and hospitable person to work with. Thank you for allowing us to spend our vacation in your home!

My children and I stayed in this home and I can't even put into words how immaculate it is! Pictures do not do it justice. Each room is themed if not adorable the rooms are big and beautiful! The Master suite is unbelievable and the bathroom is fantastic! LOVE the pool, it's a resort in itself. Complete serene privacy at the pool. My children had fun going in and out of the pool, the Mickey shape pool and the hot tub. I have to mention the safety feature of this home, if ever the door that leads to the pool opens it will alert us! Perfect while staying with children! We need that feature at home! The owner has really thought out every detail and it is home sweet home away from home. This is the only place I'd stay while vacationing in Florida!!! Not to mention it's only a skip away from Disney! Love everything about this home! This was our second stay at this wonderful property. Our family once again thoroughly enjoyed everything this house has to offer. During the day we spent countless hours outside by the pool. It's really a great place to spend a vacation and create great memories. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who is contemplating a vacation near Disney. In fact, we are already planning our next visit sometime in the future. I promise, you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

All you need to bring is your toothbrush and your swimsuit! The home is decorated beautifully, immaculate, and all amenities you could think of are provided. We call my 88 year old mom a Princess because she is so spoiled so it was very fitting that she slept in the Princess bed. :) My three year old grandson loved the Mickey pool....so the adults could enjoy ourselves without worry. I am a Florida resident but my daughter and 3 grandsons came from Atlanta during Spring break. We just enjoyed spending time together and hanging out by the pool and hot tub and relaxing all week. When it was time to eat we cooked out on the grill a couple of times but when we decided to go out there are numerous restaurants and shopping a mile from the home. We didn't want to go home! Heidi is very sweet to work with. We can't wait to visit again!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

From the moment we walked in the front door we were happy. The decor was beautiful, the pool area and game room were big hits with the grandchildren, the accommodations were wonderful, and the location perfect for all our Disney outings. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. Our oldest granddaughter wanted to pretend this was our house and they were visiting us in Florida...wouldn't that be great! We will definitely stay here again on a return trip to Orlando.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family (which includes a 6 year old and 3 year old twins) stayed for a week at this home with my parents and my brother's family (which includes a 2 year old and 3 year old). I think we were a little skeptical about how "kid friendly" a vacation home can really be but were blown away with the place! We had a blast at this house with all 5 small kids! The bedrooms were decorated with Disney themes and very simple (not a lot of trinkets or items for the kids to damage sitting out!) The rest of the house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay for the week! The game room is huge and had a pool table, air hockey table, etc but we never used these ammenities....however the kids LOVED playing in that large space and it was a perfect play area for them! The pool was beyond all expectations! It was very warm and the perfect size for all the kids to enjoy! The Mickey kid pool was perfect for the littlest ones and the rest of us enjoyed playing in the bigger pool or relaxing next to it! The spa was the perfect way to relax after a day of chasing kiddos around local attractions! Our main concern was the safety of the kids in a new environment with a pool but there were working alarms on every door to the pool area and even a tricky gate that my six year old struggled to open that made sure no children could slip out to the pool area unnoticed! The house was a perfect location. We were close enough to Disney and attractions yet when we were at the home it was very quiet and peaceful away from all the traffic that surrounds the Disney area. The owner was very timely in responding to questions and providing the needed information for our stay. We had a problem with the spa not heating on one day but within 10 minutes of contacting the maintenance people the spa was fixed and back in business! Seriously couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for our busy kids or a more relaxing place for us parents to enjoy the time with our kids! Needless to say none of us were ready to leave at the end of the week and we are ALL counting down the days till we can go back!Recommended for: Families with young children.

We stayed in the house over Christmas break. It was perfect! Large enough for our extended family of 13. Very close to Disney and other attractions.The heated pool was used everyday. The kids loved every minute. The photos were accurate and the house was clean and very well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. Heidi was great to work with. Couldn't ask for anything better. You'll love it! Thanks Heidi!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We stayed in this home during October 2012 and it was fabulous!! It was our first trip to Disney with our kids and it was ideal! With a 1 and 2 year old in tow we couldn't spend all day at the Parks, and this place has everything! High chair, booster seat, (even a potty seat!), toys, game room, and the pool was so awesome!! My daughter slept in a crib before this trip, but we wanted to try her in the princess carriage bed...when we got home, she moved out of her crib! She talked about her princess bed for weeks! And I loved that the room was just off of the master, so I could keep an eye on her and hear her, since she'd never slept in a bed she could get out of before. My kids LOVED to play in Mickey's ears in the pool and my husband and I could relax in the pool/hot tub while the kids napped or after bedtime! Our in-laws were with us too and the spaciousness of this home and all of the living space makes it ideal for multiple families. We could be together or all get our own personal space. I hope we come back next year and if we do, we will definitely try and stay here again. It was only 15-20 minutes or so from our driveway to parking at Magic Kingdom. Not to mention the close proximity to restaurants, shopping, walgreens, etc. and the drive to Sea World wasn't bad at all, either. Staying in this home made our vacation so much LESS stressful than it might have been otherwise! We loved this house and Heidi was so awesome with responding quickly to all of my emails (and I emailed her a LOT)! My family were very pleased with everything in this home. My grand kids Loved the pool & enjoyed it thoroughly. We have a family of 8 and every one had their own space "bedrooms & bath" Loved Loved our stay. I would recommend this home to any family wanting a comfortable and clean place to stay, close to Disney, Shopping, Dinning etc. The Home owners were extremely nice to work with. Just wanted to let everyone know our time at Character's Corners was wonderful!! We enjoyed the parks and the weather but most of all the house made it our best vacation EVER. We all loved the pool and were in it till late into the evening. The home is so large and quiet, we slept well and had the most amazing time. There were 12 of us staying there and each had our own private space to enjoy. Location could not have been any better... we have stayed on Disney property several times but this is the way to go. As my 4 year old grandson said as we got on the plane to come home "Can we stay in that beautiful house again?" The owners, Heidi and Tony , could not have been any nicer!!! We would encourage anyone looking for a quailty home to stay in check out Character Corners!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Beautiful house and gated community (Formosa Gardens). Great location close to Disney, shopping, and dining... but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy privacy and relax by your own pool and hot tub. The house has lots of space, and was clean and comfortable. The game room was a plus... kids, parents and grandparents used it frequently. Highly recommend this rental to anyone vacationing in the Orlando area.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband, Tony, and I are both attorneys practicing in the Rochester, New York area. We have four children, ages 17, 16, 14, and 5! We have been traveling to Disney for many years and have lots of great suggestions for your trip. I am available to answer any questions you have and would love to rent our home to your family!
Why the Owner Chose Formosa Gardens Estate:
We simply love Disney and the Orlando area in general! There is simply so much to do together as a family! I (Heidi) am a HUGE Disney fan... I love the parks, the water parks, the restaurants, the shopping.. I love that Disney magic. We also enjoy Universal/Sea World/Busch Gardens and going to our favorite beach, Clearwater Beach!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home is located only 2 and 1/2 miles from Disney's main gate, 15-20 minutes from Universal/Sea World/Aquatica, and an hour from Busch Gardens! We've done it all and we love it. After a busy day at the park, the kids love to hang out in their themed bedrooms, play in our game room, but most of all, swim, swim, swim! We designed our pool area with a very, very large deck area so there is room for everyone... and then some. I don't think you'll find a pool area like ours anywhere! Check out the photos of our Mickey Mouse kiddie pool... a hit for the little ones!
