Wonderful Condo!

We feel in love with this condo on-line, and were not disappointed when we arrived! It's HUGE! The extra large living room is so nice, with room to spread out. Bedroom arrangements were perfect: kids had the downstairs, we went upstairs. Large balcony over looking the gulf.....perfect! And the pool.....love it. Our teenage daughter and friend loved the deck to catch some rays, yet we could still see them from the beach. Security is tight, which is a bonus when you have teenage girls roaming the complex. My only complaint: we didn't reseve this condo quick enough for our 2012 SPi trip! Book this one with confidence, you won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time. The view was tremendous, the location, ideal far enough away from the Spring Break mayhem, but close enough to get anywhere easily. The security was outstanding. We had lots of stuff and knew it was secure thanks to the guards. Julie was very accomodating even after the misunderstanding with the trailer. Thanks for a great week, we will be be back for sure. Spring Break Fun

What a great place! Great views of the beach. Easy access to the pool, beach, parking! Very close to the Turtle Rescue Center, Bird Watching Center, Horse Back Riding and Restaurants. We were there for a week and did not want to leave. We plan to get back very soon, We also had all the comforts of home. There are even beach stuff for your use. Beds are great, even the pull out in the sofa. Wow what a great time with Family!!

Disastrous vacation weekend

The condos are advertised as part of Bahia Mar, a hotel which is closed, being demolished, and which looks like a war zone. There is no swimming pool or grounds, one has to drive through a construction zone filled with waste bins, old toilets, etc. to get to the condos, and there is constant construciton noise at the hotel and at many of the condos. The condos at Bahia Mar should be deemed unrentable during the next approximately 2 years of construction, and the advertisement of them should be deemed deceptive trade practice. When we complained to the owner when we arrived, she offered to move us to another of her condos at the same property, except with a much worse view, and still in the construction zone. We asked for a partial refund, and her response was "I can give you a 10% discount on your next rental."

Owner response: Construction has now been completed and everyone is enjoying our brand new pool and hot tub.Unfortuanatly, there was a terrible misunderstanding about the construction going on. I offered to move them to another condo, but they declined. This is a beautiful completly redone beachfront condo with a spectacular view of the ocean. It has wall to wall windows and a huge balcony that you can sit out and view the ocean.

What a wonderful get-away! We were there Thanksgiving , and loved it. The condo was perfect for all 8 of us. The location is perfect distance from the water, the beach was beautiful. The view is awesome, and the wall to wall view of the ocean was spectacular.The condo was so clean and Julie was wonderful and helped us in every way. We slept like babies in the comfortable beds .We loved drinking our morning coffee on the balcony looking right out to the ocean. Can't wait to come back!!!!!

We stayed in Julie's condo that has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and a spectacular view of the gulf from the whole living area as well as the master bedroom upstairs. My family which included 2 daughters, one son-in-law and four grandchildren were very comfortable and loved getting up every morning to sunshine and looking at the beach. we were there for 10 days including a family reunion the first weekend that we arrived. It was great watching the people kite-skiing, boogie boarding, swimming, playing on the beach, walking their dogs. It was so convenient to walk out to the beach every day. Plus the pools at the Bahia Mar were great to use at night when the kids wanted to get more water time in. The picnic area on the grounds was very convenient when we had too much company to have in the condo. This was our second visit using one of Julie's condos. It's been a pleasure working with her and very convenient. We look forward to our next visit.

I am currently on day 3 of our vacation in #2-16. I'm sure my dad will write his thoughts as well, but I wanted to stop by and say that this is truly a beautiful condo! There is so much space, and so much light. The condo is literally feet from the beach, and all the windows look out on the water! The condo has a very safe feel and there is a security system that lets us feel comfortable leaving our things in the unit while we're at the beach. Parasailing, RV rental, kite stores, gift shops, and restaurants are right outside the property, and the unit itself is very clean and has extremely comfortable and up-to-date furniture. The kitchen is stocked with everything used to cook and the big TV in the living room is very enjoyable. The marbled floors are very pretty, and we really appreciated the small touches like books to read, nice decorations, and VERY VERY comfortable beds! We are already planning to come back to one of Julie's bigger condos with some more family. Thanks so much!

My best friend and I along with our combined four children spent 3 nights in Julie's condo & LOVED it! It's hard to tell since everyone claims their condos are "right on the beach" but this one really is. You can open up the sliding glass doors (on one of the three balconies) and feel the breeze from the water and smell the ocean. If you had a good arm you could throw a rock into the water from the balcony! It's a completely un-obstructed view. The condo itself was very clean and had updated furnishings. The owner, Julie was a pleasure to work with and was able to accomodate us on very short notice. Thanks again, we had a wonderful time!

We stayed in unit 2-77 from February 1 thru March 3, 2008, and had a great time. The Condo has a superb view of the beach and you can sit and watch the activity(walking, kite skiing, etc) from the balcony or even the livingroom sofa. The bathroom by the entry was nice to wash the sand off without tracking thru the unit. We enjoyed the flat screen TV and rarely used the others. We were very happy with the unit and would certainly try to stay there again.

My friends and I stayed out here in April for our 10-year reunion. It was SO convenient because our reunion activities were being held at the Bahia Mar as well; as a matter of fact, our condo was right next to our reunion gatherings! Each bedroom had a WONDERFUL beach view, and it is SO close to the beach! i was a little nervous about renting from a private owner; but Julie (the owner) was so very helpful and patient with all my questions and last minute requests and made my first time rental experience a very pleasant one. The bedrooms are spread out in the condo so it doesn't feel crowded, even when 8 people are staying there. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, so that was a MAJOR plus! The condo is tastefully decorated and provides a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. I plan on booking this condo on my next trip to SPI.

The condo is great! The view is fabulous and the furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped making it very easy to cook meals if you so choose. Our Lab, Shelby, also appreciated the owners allowing pets as she loves the beach as much as we do. The condo is our "new" favorite place to stay at South Padre.

My mother, aunt and I rented this condo for 9 days and 8 nights. We came to SPI to visit my 78 year old aunt and 81 year old uncle. The condo was everything we had expected and more. It's close proximity to the beach and the outstanding views made the visit even more enjoyable. The port holes in the living room and the bedrooms were also an added delight. I was a bit apprehensive about renting from an individual as I had always rented from a Real Estate Service or Property Management Co. but Julie was very helpful and a delight to rent from. I will not hesitate to call upon her again in the future. The condo was very clean and everything was in working order. We had no issues while there. It is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the beach with all the comforts of home.

Our family of 4 couples and a two year old greatly enjoyed your condo over the Christmas break. We loved the close access to the beach. The constant roaring of the waves and the breathtaking view really made us feel "on vacation!" The Bahia Mar is family friendly even allowing our 2-yr old to attend the New Year's Eve party. (She danced every dance.) We checked the other parties on the island and they made no exceptions to the "no minors" rule. Although the kitchen is compact I was able to cook a bunch of nice meals for my family. I'll recommend your place to my friends. Thanks.

We spent 5 nights and 6 days in this condo and we had a great time. As everyone else has said, the view is spectacular and the location to the Beach could not be better. Plenty of room in the condo and everything we needed was there in order to use the kitchen and cook our own food when we wanted to do so. I'd strongly recommend staying here and Julie was an absolute angel to work with through the whole process. I wish I could have met her in person.

We spent a wonderful couple days (sll that was available at the time)in this awesome condo! It was a true family retreat and regadering. We spent many hours walking, gazing, talking, sharing, and shopping. This condo has the most incredible view at all times of the day. Our family of six stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving. There was plenty of room in this very clean and recently remodeled condo. The condo was well furnished and very accommodating. The beach location was magnificent, only about 100 feet from the water. With ceiling to floor windows overlooking the Gulf, we enjoyed watching the sunrise or the activity during the day from the privacy of our living room or balcony. Recommended for families who appreciate a nicer and larger place and want beach accessibility for a reasonable price.

If you want to stay in a condo with a million dollar view. This is the place. It's the closest condo (at Bahia Mar) to the beach. It's very close to the pool. The condo is spacious. It has a TV in all 3 bedrooms and the living room. 3 bathrooms. We really enjoyed it (especially the proximity to the beach and the view).

Julie recently my family spent three wonderful nights in your condo. The facilities were well maintained and the view was spectacular. If the sight of the sun coming up over the sky...breaking through wispy clouds does not move you then you are either dead or should be. The view from the condo is wonderful. We took our 3 young children, including a 1 year old for his first trip to the beach. The condo is RIGHT ON the beach -- an unobstructed view of the Gulf. We watched the sunrise every morning. Great location, nicely appointed and very livable.

We just returned from a fabulous week in the beautiful, spacious beachfront condo. My college-age daughter and a friend, plus another couple friend of ours enjoyed the space as well as the privacy. Every morning and evening was spent gazing at the surf and the sunrise or moonrise over the water. It was a lovely time. The guys fished every day in the bay, so we even feasted on fresh trout every evening! Yum! We hope to return, that's for sure! Thanks!!

9-14-03 -- i celebrated my 65th birthday in your beautiful condo with my 87 year old mother, my husband, my 3 children and my 2 grandchildren - it was great - the condo is especially nice with a wonderful view - we enjoyed every minute of it - the beach, the water, the food of the island, volleyball on the beach and even an early morning thunderstorm - we hope to make it an annual occasion - connie wohlfarth...

We loved our vacation and the location of this Condo was largely responsible for all the fun we had. It is right on the beach and near the pool!!! It was magical to stand on the balcony at night and see the full moon rise directly in front of you over the ocean. I give this Condo rental experience a top rating. What a wonderful week we spent in this condo on the beach. It was clean, spacious, and generously appointed. Plenty of room for my family of seven. The kids loved the bunkbeds and the TV's in each room. My wife and I loved the master bedroom and bath being in the loft, away from the kids. The view was worth a million and the convenience of being right on the beach was terrific. The resort was beautifully landscaped and maintained. The amenities (pool, hot tub, etc.) were enjoyed by all. I would not hesitate to stay with you again and would give you the highest recommendation to anyone that inquired.
