The Gold Mine Lodge is just 5 miles from Hill City. Minutes from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and most attractions of the Black Hills. This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is beautifully decorated through out featuring an all stone exterior, fireplace & various other stone work inside. You will be pleasantly surprised with the tastefull nature theme of the house that the guys will appreciate and plenty of feminine touches to please the ladies. From the wrap around deck you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or an evening meal while watching the beauty of your surroundings outside. The kid in all of us will like the misterious faces looking down on you from the hill above the back deck. Now don't misunderstand, I am not referring to Mt. Rushmore. Just a few steps up from the deck there is even an actual old Gold Mine dug into the rock hill.
We also have the Gold Stone Lodge which is decorated on the nature theme as well with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, family room, dining room, 2 full kitchens, laundry room, patio, deck and gas grill.
And if you are just looking for a beautiful room with a private bathroom and entrance we have that also. All located in a wooded country area.

Owner Description
We moved to the Black Hills over 23 year ago and have loved it ever since. With my husband's background in carpentry and masonry and mine in the hospitality business with starting out with a B & B we decided the vacation rental home business was a natural for us. I love to decorate and my husband is very handy and artistic so we tend to work well with each other in creating a very pleasant home for the vacationing travelers.
Why the Owner Chose Hill City
We like the fact that this house is close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park and other attractions of the Black Hills. It is easy to find and has plenty of room for an extended family or friends.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
It is close to the Mickelson Trail for hiking and bicycling so you can get a little exercise while on vacation. It also has a nice mountain view.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! This was the perfect location for our family to meet. You do such a great job of keeping the place so well stocked. We were able to roast a 20 lb prime rib, finding all the utensils, etc. we needed. Thanks for everything - memories were made here that we will surely cherish for a lifetime.

Your beautiful "cabin" provided the perfect place for our four generation get together this Christmas. We are vey grateful for the opportunity to have shared a few days in such a beautifully appointed and maintained home. It was clean, warm, inviting and very functional. You even provided a winter wonderland of snow. Thank you for the perfect pace to build memories.

This lodge was absolutely perfect. It's even better than the photographs in the listing. The house was spotless, the kitchen very well-equipped and the surrounding scenery was beautiful --- no matter what window you looked out of. We were traveling on motorcycles so the laundry room was well used while we were there. The layout worked well for our group. Everybody had enough privacy and enough personal space with the bedroom and bathroom locations as they are. If you needed a little solitude, it was available. Likewise, the dining room table and the table on the deck were great gathering spaces for breakfast, talking about that day and making plans for the next day. The owners have done everything possible to make this lodge comfortable and welcoming. And they were available for questions and recommendations on places to eat and beautiful roads to tour. I can recommend this lodge with no reservations. In fact, our entire group wants to go back next year and stay in the same place AND take more folks with us. AND we are anxious to get there.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
