The Casa de las Flores Condos are located on a bluff overlooking Ritmos and Blue Chairs on Los Muertos Beach, as well as miles and miles of Banderas Bay. We're on the border of Puerto Vallarta's historic Romantic Zone (restaurants and night life) and the more quiet residential neighborhood of Conchas Chinas on the famous cobblestoned Calle Santa Barbara (Vallarta's Million Dollar Mile). We're just a few steps down to the beach and guests sleep to the sound of waves. Each condo sleeps 4 people -- rent both for parties of 5 to 8 people.

We rented the Villa + Condo and it couldn't have been more perfect. Both worked as one unit when needed and separately as 2 homes when we needed to spread out. Great communal areas to celebrate together as well as intimate spaces for peaceful reflection. The design has beautiful angles and textures and colors throughout...and feels truly authentic (high quality). The staff did a great job receiving us, taking care of us, and making us feel welcome (not to mention the great cooking by the staff). We highly recommend this property on VRBO and our Facebook! I will definitely return with a party of 4 up to 14/16 (both condos + villa + extra suites)!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
Owner response: Jon- Thanks for your kind words, we're delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again.

We are not hotel people, and prefer to enjoy the atmosphere of a town, by actually living in someone's home and truly experiencing the local flavour. Casa de las Flores was just that, in fact if we could have moved our Canadian home to PV, this would be it. From the earthtone colours, the open air patios, plants & nic naks galore to the constant soothing sounds of waves crashing in the background, you knew this was something special. You are a 5 min stroll to the beach, or to literally dozens of cafes, bars, restaurants. It is a bit of an incline walking back, but for the views & solitude, well worth it. The bonus feature for us, was actually having a glass of wine with the owners, Jeff & Maurice, who not only take tremendous pride in their Casa, but make you feel as though we have been friends for years. The people, the beach, the food, and a relaxing place to call home, is what makes you feel like you belong in Puerto Vallarta. Brian/ChrisDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Rarely does a vacation stay within your soul, but our trip to Puerto Vallarta was one of those rare experiences and I believe that staying in Casa de las Flores had a lot to do with that. Beautifully decorated with art, this is a true Vallarta Style home with open windows to the ocean and is nestled in the hill with indigenous foliage all around. One of the things that amazed me was how many types of butterflies there were that flitted by. Closely located to Old Town, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from that are within walking distance. One of favourites was just down the street called Fusion. Delicious mango margaritas! The accommodation was very comfortable with a king size bed, as well as a self contained kitchen with stove and refrigerator. Being so close to the beach you have no choice other than to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. If one is intolerant to noise however, then I would recommend bringing earplugs as the ocean can be loud at times. The entire property is beautifully maintained and our suite was cleaned every day. I would recommend this accommodation for those who want to feel like they are living in Puerto Vallarta as you can come and go as you please. Thank you to everyone involved who made our vacation into a wonderful holiday.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Staying at Flores is so much more than the good views and close walk to the beach. Jeff and Maurice have created a home and business that gives back to the community. We were lucky to arrive the day before they hosted a wonderful art show to benefit local charities and recognize a community leader committed to improving the lives of children.Did you find this review helpful? We spent four nights at Casa de las Flores in February, and can't wait for out next visit over Memorial Day. At this point we just don't consider staying anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta. We like the scale of the place, its safety, comfort and individuality not--not at all like a giant mega-resort. The location is perfect in the Zona Romantica--an exceptional choice of restaurants within walking distance. We value quiet and privacy--CDF delivers. We feel like we are really in Mexico, not in transplanted USa. Assistance and information is instantly available from the friendly hosts, but never intrusive.Did you find this review helpful? On one of our many visits to Puerto Vallarta we had the pleasure of meeting the hosts of Casa de las Flores and since that meeting have recommended their place to many friends. In fact, a year ago we booked a number of rooms for friends while we stayed at a nearby property. Our friends, all first time visitors to PV, were well cared for and very pleased with their visit. In January we were invited by friends (who we insisted stay at Casa de las Flores) to join them for a spur-of-the-moment weekend in PV and were lucky that there was a cancellation that allowed us to stay in a lovely condo unit. Now, having actually stayed there, I can enthusiastically recommend the place with, previously lacking, authority. Here is why you might want to stay here: 1. Great Location. I mean this in two ways; first, it is located in what I would consider the best area of Puerto Vallarta, the zona romantica, which still feels like it is in Mexico and not part of the many polished resorts that could be anywhere in the world. Secondly, Casa de las Flores is just minutes from Los Muertos beach, good restaurants, and nightlife. Despite this proximity, we found it to be very quiet with only the sound of the surf in the evenings. 2. Beautiful accommodations. There are so many nice details and finishes to the hillside rooms and our condo was very spacious. I can easily see us returning with friends. The tiled bathrooms are very well done. The artwork gracing the walls was also for sale. 3. Excellent hosts. To me it is a bit misleading to have Casa de las Flores listed on Tripadvisor as a vacation rental when in fact it is more like a B&B; without the breakfast. The hospitable owners live on the premises and take a genuine interest in the welfare of their guests.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

"I couldn't say enough about Case de las Flores. The owners and staff are delightful, friendly and accommodating. The views are refreshing, fresh beach air is rejuvenating all within easy access to the beach. I loved relaxing on the beach loungers under Palapas, choosing my favorite foods from nearby restaurants and shopping to my hearts content - all at walking distance from the villa. For the more adventurous, perhaps you also would like to take a nearby cab to the worthwhile, fun, excursion to La Caletas island, or take advantage of the many activities at Vallarta adventures as we did. Returning to the peace and quiet of the villa is just what I needed after an active day not to mention sitting on the patio surrounded with lush greenery and flowering plants listening to the ocean waves that lulled me to sleep every night. The condo we stayed in was very clean, brightly decorated, spacious, and very much like home with a complete kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and amazingly furnished with king size beds.I can't wait until my next visit to Casa de las Flores. Thank you again for an awesome stay at the villa."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

"This was our second time staying at Casa de las flores. We liked it so much the first time that we brought a larger group this time! The staff is very accomodating (you'll become good friends with Mariana!). The villa itself is relaxing and feels like a home away from home. Jeff and Maurice are very responsive with the reservation process and coordinating any needs during your stay. Overall, we would definitely stay here again." Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2013
About the owner: We currently live in the Alberta Arts district of Portland, Oregon. We have lived in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Oakland.
Why the Owner Chose Romantic Zone:
Unlike those properties facing directly west or south-west, the condos face north-west so we don't have to have blinds down all day that block the views and protect from the baking sun; we enjoy a sunny view all day! We also are set back from the beach on a small bluff so when the waves are pounding hard (January and February) we hear them, but we are not kept up at night as many right on the beach complain about. Also, our location is steps from the beach and on the border of the more quiet and upscale Conchas Chinas neighborhood and close to all the shops and restaurants of Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone; we are below the highway and can therefore walk to everything easily and can be on the beach in less than 3 minutes walking.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
There are two condos and a house on the property, all very private. So, this is not a giant condo tower crowded with people. Instead, it's a singular retreat.
