Just a 5 minute walk from the Beach and shopping, enjoy our wonderful Caribbean style home on beautiful Bald Head Island, North Carolina. Membership in Shoals Club included at no additional cost. Adobe style architecture, arched doorways, terracotta tile and marble floors, tons of outdoor living space, and an open floor plan are a few of the distinctive features that make this home so special. Ancient live oaks, a very private yard, and the sound of the ocean from the screened back porch make this a wonderfully peaceful retreat.
This spacious home offers roughly 2560 square feet of living space inside and over 1100 square feet of covered porches (rocking chairs and swing provided on the front porch, and a hammock and rockers are provided on the screened back porch). The home includes 3 bedrooms on the main floor and a large loft that sleeps 3 (great for teenagers). A separate sitting room with warm wooden flooring offers a cozy place to read or talk apart from the main living area. A newly renovated Master Bath with river rock dual shower and custom tile provide a quiet and luxurious retreat. New Living Room and Dining room furnishings. Quality mattresses in the bedrooms.
Nestled in the maritime forest on Bald Head Island, you will find serenity and peace as you lie in the hammock on the screened back porch, listening to the sounds of the forest and the ocean, and observing the frequent deer or occasional fox that visit the back yard, which is surrounded by majestic live oaks and backs up to woods on all sides. Both the master bedroom and the back bedroom open to the screened back porch. As for convenience, the home is a 3 minute golf cart ride or 5 minute walk to the nearest beach and just around the corner from the island grocery store and other shopping. This home is VERY private, with no neighbors in front of, behind, or to one side of the home.
Your rental will include membership to the Shoals Club (a pristinely located island beach club with pools, boardwalk, towel service, cabana, fine dining, and gym).
For those who love their TV, this home is equipped with four flat-screen HD TVs (plasma and LCD) with HD satellite, 2 DVD players, a VCR, and a nice home stereo with surround sound. The TV in the family room is a new 50" plasma. All bedrooms have an LCD flat-screen TV with satellite. Wireless high speed Internet is provided, so bring your laptop.
Two 4-passenger late model Club Car golf carts are included. A third is available for an additional fee ($100/wk). Gas and charcoal grills are provided in the private back yard. Very well-appointed kitchen with quality appliances. New washer an dryer. Pets allowed for an additional $200 fee. Rents Saturday to Saturday.

Why the Owner Chose Bald Head Island
My mother moved to Bald Head in the mid 1990's, and I visited often. At times, she and my step father would leave the island and let me stay there. Over the next few years, I knew that I wanted to own a home on Bald Head and worked hard to make that a reality, purchasing a couple of lots and a villa on my way to buying Summer Breeze in 2001. We have made a great deal of upgrades to our home to make it the sweet island getaway that it is today and spend a large portion of our rental income each year to make the house progressively better.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Summer Breeze is our escape sanctuary. We go every chance we get. We truly relax there like no other place on earth. Evenings are spent on the front porch enjoying the easy breezes sitting on the porch swing or grilling out back in our private back yard. The hammock on the back porch is great for reading. Nights are so quiet. The only sound you here in the house is the kitchen clock. Since our home is in the forest on an island in the ocean, it gets wonderfully dark at night, and the stars are brilliant, like fireworks in the sky. The place is so peaceful that we sleep like babies. We always hate to leave when it is time to go back home.

Elizabeth is NewSouth's Recruiting Manager. We believe in working hard but keeping a balanced life, placing high value on quality, relaxed time with family and friends. Escaping to BHI is one of the things that helps bring balance and peace to us.

We couldn't have asked for a better week or a more beautiful place to stay on our first vacation to Bald Head Island. There was never a time when there wasn't something new for us to do or explore and we didn't accomplish everything in one week! If you are looking for a place to stay that gives you all of the comforts of home, Summer Breeze is your place. We had five teenagers and four adults and there was never a time when we were crowded or on top of one another. In fact, the kids even commented on how nice it was to have their own space (the loft!). From watching the sea turtle come and prepare a nest for her eggs to just relaxing on the beach by day or under the beautiful star-lit sky at night, we made so many great memories with our children and nephews that they are asking when we can return. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. It was our first time on BHI, and we loved it! There were not very many people on the island, so at times it felt like we had the island and the whole beach to ourselves. The peace and quiet were just what we needed to escape the "real world." Summer Breeze is perfect and beautiful. We even had fun playing hide and seek on the spacious lot and adjacent woods one night with the kids. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. We hope to be back! We have been to Bald Head a number of times with a close friend who owns a house on the island. This same friend was married on the island last Saturday, and we rented this lovely villa for the long weekend. This house has it all: large screened in porch, dual shower heads in the renovated master bath, and an HDTV with surround sound and an ipod jack. WIth the feel of a Spanish villa, this house breaks the mold of your traditional Bald Head beach house, but in a very good way. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their home, and you shouldn't hesitate to make it yours for a week.

Our daughter, Anya, wrote, "I love Summer Breeze!" after our first day here (one the note pad in the kitchen). I have my parents, grandma, husband, and children here (My brother and his girlfriend visited), and there was plenty room. We have had sweet times together at the beach, eating ice-cream, doing puzzles, and cruising the island in golf carts, very memorable for 6 year old Luke, 4 year old Karis, and Anya too! What a wonderful spot! The home is nicely located on the island, very convenient to everything. Best of all, the house is very well-appointed, everything we needed or wanted was there! Since we were traveling from Dallas, we could not bring a lot with us so that was great. The owners were very helpful and responsive. We had a great 4th of July visit!
