This elegant multi-level townhome is located several blocks from Canyon Road and within walking distance of the Plaza. It has that "Santa Fe Style" with viga ceilings, tile floors, kiva fireplaces, and original artwork by some of Santa Fe's best-known artists.

The entry level has a two-car garage, fully-furnished gourmet kitchen, dining room, living room, bath with shower, laundry room, and two decks. The large deck off the kitchen has a large, custom charcoal grill fit for the finest grilling and smoking. The living room with kiva fireplace opens onto a deck which affords panoramic views of Atalaya Peak and Sun and Moon mountains. Watching a full moon rise from behind Atalaya is a special treat. Sip your morning coffee in the private, walled garden entryway.

Two guest bedrooms and a bath with tub/shower are located down a flight of stairs from the living room. Guest bedroom #1 has a queen bed, and guest bedroom #2 has a day bed with pop-up trundle, which can convert to a king or twin beds. Both rooms have large closets. A patio is located at this level, as well as a Koi pond.

Up a short flight of steps from the entry, you will find a generous master suite furnished with a king bed. The master bath has a shower, Jacuzzi tub, and dual sinks decorated with Mexican tile. A very large deck off the master bedroom provides unobstructed views of Atalaya peak.

There is a den up a half flight of steps from the master suite landing which has views to the west toward the Jemez Mountains and Los Alamos. The den has a sleeper sofa which opens into a queen bed, kiva fireplace, and generously furnished library. WiFi access is in the den.

Televisions with cable hookup are in the living room, den, master bedroom, and guest bedroom #1.

Walk to dinner at Geronimo or El Farol and return to your hilltop retreat to watch the moon rise behind Atalaya.

Because this home is multi-level, it is not suitable for the physically handicapped. The koi pond and the steps make it unsuitable for small children.

                        We had a wonderful time in this gorgeous home! This house is particularly well-suited for a group of six to vacation together, and yet have plenty of private spaces in the house to spend time apart. Kitchen is completely equipped, two car garage a real luxury, and the views are the best. Per the owner's accurate description, the home has lots of living levels and lots of stairs. Also, most homes in Santa Fe, including this one, have only central heating, and not central air-conditioning. You can't go wrong with this lovely property. The Compound Restaurant nearby on Canyon Road is always a memorable dining experience. Book this home early, as it is understandably very popular.

                        Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing.

                        Lovely, elegant home - we enjoyed our stay very much! The view is fabulous, the accommodations spectacular and the atmosphere amazing. We also loved that the shopping was so close by and that restaurants are easily accessible. We highly recommend this vacation home!

                      Why the Owner Chose Historic Eastside:
                      We bought this as a second home in 1994 when we were living in Albuquerque. After retiring we lived there full-time for 10 years. Although family considerations have required us to move, we still love our Santa Fe home and treasure the time we get to spend there. Where else can you have so much accessible culture (art, opera, chamber music) and outdoor activities (skiing, biking, rafting, hiking)? Santa Fe is unlike any other city in the United States, and we feel privileged to be able to enjoy it.

                      The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
                      Our home is close to Canyon Road and walking distance to the Plaza. It is a short drive to the Opera, 20 minutes to the ski basin, and only an hour from Albuquerque and the airport. We have magnificent views to the east (Atalaya Peak, Cerro Gordo Canyon, Sun and Moon Mountains) and the west (sunset over the Jemez Mountains). Four spacious decks enhance the already spacious living area. Superb restaurants are within walking distance. We never get bored!
