When my husband Steve and I arrived at Villa Beach we knew we had hit the jackpot. This is a standout property and we didn't want to leave. Positioned right on the beach our villa apartment had a fantastic view straight onto the beach not only from the balcony but from our bedroom, kitchen, lounge and living area. This was living on the beach in paradise! The villa has every thing you could possibly want, the owners have really paid attention to detail, from the beautiful furnishings to the numerous inclusions and the absolute cleanliness. The friendly greeting when we arrived from Trish made us feel at home instantly and nothing was a problem to her, she got us discounts at restaurants as well as off all our tours and the local knowledge she shared with us made our stay easy and relaxing. Villa Beach is definitely located in the best position in Cairns, on the beach, central location to every reef tour we chose, short distance to the Kuranda Rail and Skyrail, Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge Rainforest and a full size supermarket only minutes away where we stocked up on all our groceries and refreshments!! Their advertising says "quiet tropical South Seas ambience", its right. We strolled up the beach to Palm Cove a few times which is just a short walk from Villa Beach to a number of restaurants for lunch and then lazily strolled back and sat on the beach for a quiet drink. This is what we hoped and dreamed it would be like when we booked and it happened. If you want to get your picture taken with a koala bear like I did you can actually cuddle one and get a photo at the Cairns Tropical Zoo which is in close walking distance from Villa Beach. Steve and I only have wonderful things to say about Villa Beach and highly recommend this place, we will be telling all our friends for a long time to come. Congratulations and a big thank you to the owners Trish & Graham who have shared their magnificent piece of paradise with us.You made our honeymoon very special.

We had an amazing holiday at this stunning beachfront villa. The quaintness of the condo, backyard foliage & pool/spa were perfect. Trish & Graham were so extremely helpful, friendly & accommodating. They assisted with all our activity bookings and helped us to save money on our excursions. We were in the area during the off/wet season, so the town was quiet and relaxed. Take caution with the box jelly fish season - but nice to feel like we had the entire beach to ourselves!

Our stay at Palm cove was most definitely Paradise. Our apartment was spotless, good quality fixture and fittings, there was nothing that we felt was missing the owners have put a great deal of effort into ensuring their property was first class. We had a fantastic stay over Christmas and having Trish and Graham on hand to make reservations and recommendations was like having our own personal travel advisor. We have stayed in many properties around the world and have to say this property really does live upto the description. Should we find ourselves in Cairns again we will certainly book. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone that is looking for a fantastic experience - great restaurants, accommodation, beach on your doorstep and 1001 things to do within a very short drive. Thank you Trish and Graham for a very enjoyable stay, memories which we will cherish for a long time.

We stayed at this villa for 10 nights and ejoyed every minute of it. Trish and Graham were delightful people and very helpful with any questions. The villa is superb and every last detail is thought of. We had a two bedroom ground floor villa and I could so easily move in and live there! During our stay we hired a car as there were 4 adults to explore this stunning area. The beautiful coastal roads on one side and the impressive rain forest on the other will remain long in my memoray! We drove up to Daintree and spent a great day there thoroughly enjoying our mango swamp boat trip. We went out to the Barrier reef hint check with Trish for a weather update for the clamest day to visit. Drove around the Atherton area for a day which is beautiful and visited the zoo which is just down the road and a great way to spend a morning! I would highly recommend this place to anyone you cannot go wrong with it or the area!

We stayed at Villa Beach mid August and when we arrived my husband and I could not believe our eyes, just amazing ( and my husband booked it! ). What a location, right on the beach and the villa apartment was magnificent. The apartment looked straight onto the beach, and the sound of the ocean makes you go WOW ! We bought a bottle of champagne at the airport duty free and we just sat on the balcony and took it all in - absolute paradise - what a position. The villa apartment is decorated beautifully with exceptional quality furnishings and it just makes you relax into your surroundings. It was just like a show home, like new and it was ours for our anniversary holiday. It had every conceivable thing we wanted, nothing has been skimped on. The b-b-q on the balcony was great and we enjoyed eating there just looking at the beach. The design of the apartment was fantastic and I loved even making meals in the kitchen with its view onto the beach. We experienced some beautiful sunsets sitting on the beach with a cold drink (or 2) just soaking it all up. I have to mention that the birds and butterflies they were so beautiful, I have never seen anything like it. We walked up the beach to the restaurants and cafes of Palm Cove and hired a couple of bikes for a few hours to see the sights. If you're not sure where to stay in the Cairns area, you can't go past Villa Beach as it is definately situated on the best beach in Cairns and is so central to everything. There is also a full size supermarket just a short distance up the road that we walked to even though we had a car. It has everything, which made life so easy. We went to the reef on Quicksilver and I can't recommend it enough, a truly fabulous day that my husband and I will never forget. Also the train to Karranda and the skyrail back through the rainforest is a must do. Must thank the owners Trish and Graham for making our special wedding anniversary holiday a wonderful experience, they were so friendly and ready to help and their local knowledge of restaurants etc was the best. They really look after the property, it is a credit to them. Our memories of sitting on the beach and on the balcony just mesmerised by the sound of the beach and those gorgeous palm trees is etched in both our minds. We need to go back to that relaxed pace of the place already. Villa Beach is one of the best places we have ever stayed at, if not the best, and that's saying something.

A beautiful rental in an excellent location. You will not be disappointed with this rental, clean, all the comforts of home, beach at your front door, and close to all attractions. Don't think twice, book it! A big thanks to Trish, for all your help.

The apartment has large common areas. The hosts Trish and her husband live on site and were available to help us with any questions. They were also able to book tours for us and give us the inside scoop on attractions in the area. The apartment was SPOTLESS and very high quality. The furnishings were upscale and not your traditional rental quality. Beds were super comfy and ceiling fans meant we didn't need to use the air con. Kitchen was a tad small but the circular breakfast bar attached made up for the size. The balcony was great with a super view of ocean and gum (?) tree lit up at night. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and it was our favourite accomodation throughout Fiji, Aussie and NZ over 5 weeks. Technically you could manage without a car (grocery store is walkable and Trish provides grocery carts to use, and Palm Cove is walkable (15 mins on beach), but i would rec a car. Walking on the beach was a little scary at night due to all of the croc warning signs (although we never did see the resident croc we heard much about.). If you are north american, i suggest you ask Trish for an oven lesson as it is much different than what you'd be used to (couple of burned/raw dinners!). Lovely pool however the kids didn't use it as it was dirty except for the one day the cleaners vacuumed it. The pool would be the one concern - such a shame in an otherwise super high end rental. We would def rec. this property. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Owner response:I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tracey for her lovely review which is most appreciated indeed. As mentioned in her review “The balcony was great with a super view of ocean and gum (?) tree lit up at night”, these are large magnificent 500 + year old Melaleuca trees (also known as ‘paperbark’ trees). In 1770 Captain Cook land here at Palm Cove/Clifton Beach in search of fresh water . Captain Cook noted in his ships log the impressive Melaleuca trees along the shore and “Sweet Creek” from where they replenished their water supplies. These very same Melaleuca trees adorn the foreshore this day and are protected by heritage covenant for future generations to enjoy. Unfortunately leaves fall into our pool from these truly beautiful huge masterpieces of nature and is one of the side effects of retaining these magnificent heritage trees. During the time of Tracey’s stay with us it was one of the months of Autumn and the weather was somewhat windy. At certain times of the year it is an ongoing battle to keep leaves totally out of the pool. With great respect, to say the pool was “dirty” is a bit harsh when the water is crystal clean but just had leaves continually falling from these Melaleuca trees. Other guests at the time did not see it that way and enjoyed the pool.

What an amazing place in an amazing part of the world. The villa was just as described on the website. The villa was immaculate and in good repair. Trish and Graham were good hosts and were very accommodating. If you are traveling to the Barrier reef you need to check this villa out and book. You will not be disappointed.

We found this property through this website and thought we'd died and gone to heaven when we got there. Trish and Graeme were so friendly and helpful (our first trip to Australia); the location of their apartment is great -- across the road from the beach and around the corner from the grocery store; close to Port Douglas and to Cairns. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and lovely. We didn't stray too far from the balcony in the evening, but could have watched TV or movies to our heart's content. We both would heartily recommend this place and would love to go back there ourselves.

My family and I recently spent 5 nights in this Clifton Beach villa. It was exactly as described and shown in the photos. It is located north of the Cairns airport, and an easy drive to Port Douglas. There are restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance along the beach, or a grocery a short drive back to the highway. The owners, who live on site, were most hospitable and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this villa to anyone wishing a great beach opportunity in Queensland.

As one who is always a bit wary and apprehensive of booking accommodation on the internet I can unequivocally say that Villa Beach is much much better than what we imagined it would be. Even though the web site advert is great it does not do it justice. It is truly 5+ STAR. After following Trish’s easy driving directions from the airport, Trish was there to check us in and made us extremely welcome. The large and spacious villa apartment immediately blew us away. The furnishings and decore are beautiful, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly want and the apartment was immaculately clean. All this and wow! what a position and view looking straight out onto the beach in front. My husband and I loved the short walk up the beach, bare feet in the sand, to the restaurants. Having lunch under the coconut palms was fantastic. It was like we were beachcombers. Absolute paradise! The villa apartment comes with your own beach chairs and beach lounges which we made good use of and had sunset drinks on the beach. We were in South Pacific heaven. We just sun baked on the beach and swam in the pool. (This gave my husband a chance to get another cold beer from the fridge). One of the most handiest things was that there is a large supermarket only about half a mile away that has absolutely everything. The apartment comes with its own B-B-Q on the balcony as well and we made good use of it too. After touring around the Cairns area we found that Villa Beach is definitely positioned in the best central location to access all the attractions and Barrier Reef boat tours. We rented a car which I recommend as there is so much to see and do around the Cairns area and it gives you the independence also, but it’s not a necessity though as there is a public bus service just 2 minutes walk away from Villa Beach. We did also avail ourselves of the tour operator pick-up and drop-off service to the door of Villa Beach. We went on the Quicksilver tour to the outer reef and I can recommend it and the reef is absolutely mind blowing, also the Mossman Gouge is beautiful especially swimming in the fresh mountain water holes. If time permits I recommend a drive up to Cape Tribulation through the dense rainforest, it is magnificent. The train trip up the Karranda Range and back down the skyrail is a must do. P.S. The wireless broadband internet there was brilliant too. I have never written a review before so I hope this helps those ‘wary’ persons like me.

Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted by Trishe. She made great recommendations of nearby restaurants, shops and activities. She and her husband are just really good, honest people, who just do a great job in running the business because they connect with people....from the heart and in the process, provide not just an impeccable place to stay in, but a wonderful experience in Cairns. The villa is perfectly equipped (and I mean perfect - there was nothing we needed and couldn't find), our rooms had everything you'd want in a "home-away-from-home"--- it had a wonderful updated decor and each came with it's own bathroom. we also had a really nice view of the beach with private access to the pool and jacuzzi area. I would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful holiday. Every cent we spent was well worth it - we left the place feeling "ahhhh....that's just what we needed!" The entire holiday was perfect in every way, and we hope to return to Cairns soon and won't consider staying anywhere else!

We loved the apartment and location - neither was a disappointment. The apartment was beautiful, nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and the kitchen had everything needed plus extras. A very nice electric grill on the outdoor patio was great! You can see the ocean from the patio and getting to the beach was just a short walk across the street. Would definitely stay again if ever we returned to Palm Cove.

Superb standard of accommodation and an amazing location. The owners are extremely helpful and maintain the property very well. If you don't want to hire a car, we used Coral Sea Coaches to get us to and from the airport (www.coralseacoaches.com). They were very reliable and offered a really friendly service. Can't recommend this property enough - would definitely return.

The apartment was fantastic and the position across from the beach and the sea was excellent. The weather in August was beautiful and the walk to the excellent restaurants in Palm Cove was both enjoyable and easy. Trish and Graham were extremely helpful and we are grateful for the use of the wireless internet connection! The area has many good attractions if that is what you want, but it is also a delightful venue to just relax. We will be back if we are in the area again,

We stayed in the villa during march/april. And the listing was completely accurate, in fact it was much more beautiful in person. Trish and Graham were amazingly helpful with anything that we needed... internet, weather details, helpful hints about were to go and when. We ate breakfast out on the patio every morning, and enjoyed trish's recommendation of the rainforest walk about a 100 yards north from the villa. It was such a beautiful place!! Away from all the hotels, and on a quiet little strip of the beach. Very romantic... My boyfriend proposed to me on the beach there. This little paradise will always hold a very special place in our hearts. So much to do and see, all within a good driving distance. Even during the rainy season this tropical paradise is beautiful!! Would recommend HIGHLY!!!

My family stayed in this gorgeous villa for Christmas. It exceeded our expectations. Trish (the owner) met us when we arrived and got us settled in. The home was beautiful with wonderful views from the master and living room. The villa is very well appointed and provided a wonderful home away from home for the holidays. We had many an evening out on the patio enjoying the ocean breeze. The villa comes with bicycles....it was an easy ride to charming Palm Cove which had many wonderful restaurants and shops. There are so many activities and adventures nearby. We actually loved the Cairns Zoo which is just a few blocks away. We had a blast and would highly recommend this home to anyone.

My wife and I stayed for a week in late Sept. 09. Great: Driving to the Villa from the Cairns airport was easy using Trish’s directions. The listing is accurate and the pictures of the villa are valid. Overall it was a gorgeous and wonderful place for a week of relaxing. The villa is large, beautiful, immaculately cleaned and well decorated. The furnishings and kitchen are upscale. The lanai (deck) is well equipped, private and very comfortable especially in the evening. It overlooks the grounds across a narrow infrequently used road to the beach. From the villa to the beach is a very short walk. The beach is top notch, clean and safe with lots of big shade trees. The waves are gentle and the beach uncrowded. The quiet soothing surf sound lulled us to sleep every night. The villa has ceiling fans through out that kept us comfortable our entire stay. Even though it has full air-conditioning available, we did not use or need it. The temperatures were delightful the full time we were there. The washer and dryer were very convenient and put to good use. Two bicycles and several beach chairs were in our storage unit near our covered parking. Also provided in the villa were big beach towels. There is a nice shopping center about a kilometer from the villa. It has most things needed for your stay including a nice grocery store, bottle shop (liquor store) and wireless hot spot at the news agency. A car is recommended. The attractions and activities are beyond easy walking distance. Not so great: The pool is small, cold and needed maintenance. At other times of the year the pool water may be warmer. There is only dial up internet. We would give the Villa at The Beach five stars and would not hesitate to stay there again and again.
