This brand new home sits on a very private point lot with 700 feet of water frontage. It was designed for multiple families with kids. The view is absolutely spectacular with water on 3 sides and views from almost every room in the house. It is roughly 3,000 square feet and has a additional 2,100 square feet of balconies and decks. There are two great rooms, one for the adults and a second for the kids. The upstairs has 20' vaulted ceilings throughout. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The huge, custom built square table seats 12 for family meals and two additional bar top chairs are at the kitchen counter top. For outdoor cooking, there is a large, high end, stainless steel gas grill and a wood burning smoker.
There are two masters with one upstairs and the second down. The third and fourth bedrooms are downstairs. The game room includes a pool table, air hockey, ping pong, games and puzzles. We have chosen not to have a TV as it robs us of quality family time. Hoever, we do have flat screen TV with Directv for those who what to catch a key game or show. There is no additional charge but must be requested. I can tell you from personal experience that we have had some of our best times together here, without it. We do have wireless DSL, if you need to connect your laptop.
The outside balconies and decks wrap three sides of the house. The lighted walkway leads down to the enormous three slip boat house and swim platform. The water slide is connected to city water for hours of fun in the lake. A deck box is available with life preservers for all sizes. Pontoon boat rentals are available upon request for an additional charge. You are also welcome to bring your own boat. There is also a trampoline with safety nets for the kids and adventurous adults.
The boat house includes an open slip for 1 boat and additional side docking for 3-4 more.
Smith Lake is rated as the third cleanest lake in the country. You must see it to believe it. There are 500 miles of shoreline with over 21,200 acres of water. There is fantastic swimming, fishing, boating and skiing. Much of the lake is in the Bankhead National Forest with miles of undisturbed wooded shores and spectacular views.
We are located very close to the Smith Lake dam and is also near Duskin Point Marina (great for refueling and a quick snack). It is 55 minutes from Birmingham, 2 hours from Nashville and 4 hours from Memphis.

This House is Great. We have rented several homes on Smith Lake, and looked at several others. Family Paradise truly lives up to its name. It is by far the best house we have vacationed in. Great view, close enough to the big water and Duskin Point to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet and calm.We have enjoyed our stay here 5 times since 2008. It really is the next best thing to owning on Smith Lake Have recommendedt o other friends several times.Hope to visit again in 2012!

I rented this house with family in August 2010, and was just blown away by it! The house is perfectly situated and appointed and I can't imagine finding a vacation rental that is nicer. The house is new and in perfect condition, and was impeccably clean. The swim platform and boat dock are fantastic. We rented a pontoon boat from Duskin Point Marina, which the Marina delivered right to the dock, and we had a great time tooling around the lake. We will definitely be back to rent this house again. Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely lovely house!

We stayed March 19, 2010 to March 25, 2006. The home was beautiful. There was only 4 of us, but there was pleanty of room for 14 people. The pictures do not do this place any justice. The kids loved playing ping pong, pool, and air hockey. They just laughed at me when I told them that I used to be a pinpong champ, that is until they saw my serve. The look on Kyla's face after my first serve was PRICELESS! Then they just stood there with a dumb look on their faces like what just happened. The ball was past them befor they could even move. I still had it after 20 years. They said do it again Dad! So I did and they could not believe thier eyes. After about 3 days they could get a paddle on it. I just loved it. We never had a chance to miss a TV set. A perfect place to show the kids what game skill the old folks still have. We would love to stay here again!!!
