Ever have that vacation come together JUST when you need it the most? You're at the cracking point, but you take yourself on a break just in time? That's what this weekend was for us, and Dana's condo was such a scrumptious setting. Absolutely everything was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was so nice, the weather was perfect, and we could feel the stress dropping away moment by moment. Pelicans swooped by as we sat on the balcony, enjoying the view. We watched a group set up for a wedding on the beach, which was fun! The Lagoon Pass was everything you described. Our daughter was enthralled. Egrets walked within 20 feet of us, seagulls left us alone (!), and there were shells all over the place to collect. We will be back, definitely. Thanks again for everything - the bottle of wine was appreciated! LauraRecommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores. The condo looked exactly like the pictures posted online. It was simply gorgeous and extremely comfortable. We spent many nights on the huge patio over looking the Gulf of Mexico. The sound of the waves and the gulf breeze were exactly what we needed. We could not have asked for better accommodations. We were extremely pleased and would recommend Dana's condo to friends and family. A must see - The Wharf - at 8:30pm and 10:00pm there is a light show that will blow your mind. We could not believe the show and it was free! Also, at The Wharf, was a cute place called the Southern Grind, the best Cobb salad! The prices were perfect, food fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere relaxed.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dana, Thank-you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven on my 40th Birthday! It was my first time ever to the Gulf Shores and well worth the trip! I will never forget this trip, your condo overlooking the beach could not have been more breath taking to wake up to every day.. I have also never booked anything like this online and you made everything so stress free from the booking to the little home touches that were provided in the condo. I will be back and I will be telling all my friends of your condos. Thank-you again, AmieeOwner response: Amiee - I'm tickled you had such a great time and we could be a part of celebrating your 40th. This condo is huge! I tried to take pictures from every angle, but you can't capture all the beauty. No corners are cut here! Squeaky clean, soft towels, comfy bed, pillows & blankets, gorgeous decor & THE VIEW, OH MY! Wether you are making a meal in the kitchen looking out or the way the moon lights up the ocean at night, you will be blown away. Just walking in this place is breathtaking! This was our first trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama and we stayed in this fabulous condo. Everything was way nicer in person than the photos and this condo is big with a full bathroom with tub in each bedroom, double leather sectionals with kitchen and bathrooms all done in beautiful granite. We loved the decor. The balcony is huge and the views are breathtaking. We are used to vacationing in Fort Myers, Florida but Gulf Shores area is a best kept secret and we can't wait to go back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Fall Break/Shrimp Fest fun!

We made a quick decision to head to Gulf Shores for fall break, which happened to fall on Shrimp Fest weekend. We knew we wanted a condo with comfortable furnishings in case the fall weather forced us indoors. We were not disappointed in the weather or Dana's lovely condo! The view from the 16th floor is spectacular, the walk to the beach is quick and my fisherman husband was happy with the catch in the "backyard" lagoon. The festivities of Shrimp Fest were great - it was very easy to maneuver to and around it (short cut down 6th St to avoid Hwy 59 intersection). Our favorite restaurant is Ship's Harbor Grill in Orange Beach off Canal and no trip is complete without picking up steamed shrimp from Gulf Shores Market on H59.Did you find this review helpful? We LOVED staying in your condo! It was beautiful! We had friends staying in other condos in the building and we kept bragging to them about all the upgrades we had in our condo. We loved the "Wonder Wheeler" that carried all our supplies to the beach everyday. It was nice not having to lug everything, we just pushed the cart. The living room was nice having all the couch space so we could all spread out and watch TV at night. Another great aspect of the condo was the view. Our other friends were staying on the 4th and 5th floor and couldn't really see the beach, they were all very jealous of our view. Thank you for sharing your condo with us. We hope to return one day!! Dawn Hogue 7/21/12-7/27/12Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Awesome place to stay! Me, my husband and kids just fell in love with this place! As soon as we opened the entry door to enter we all just stopped and marveled at the view that was before us. It was just Beautiful! Can't say enough about how amazing of a place this is. The unit was very clean and well-maintained, just as described and Dana was great to work with. Beautiful wall colors and decorations as well. Beds were super comfortable, I felt right at home the whole time I was there. My husband loved relaxing on the L-shaped couches watching the big screen t.v. with his computer in his lap...he felt right at home and said this was his best summer vacation ever! My 2 younger children enjoyed finding "the welcoming gift" from her, that was a nice extra touch. This is probably by far the best place I have ever stayed at on the beach. Perfect distance from the beach yet with all the view you can imagine! My favorite spot was sitting on the patio in the early morning hours with a cup of coffee in my hand. Life doesn't get much better than that! Thank you Dana for communicating so well and making our trip so much easier. I keep all 11 printed pages of the access/check-in information in hand almost the whole time we were there. This information came in so handy you provided for us, from the "Things to do" to the Restaurant guides...you really have thought of everything for you guest. Bahama Bob's is still my favorite restaurant and LuLu's coming in at a close second place. Our last evening there we greatly enjoyed a dolphin cruise Cold Mil Fleet at Bear Point Marina in Orange Beach, I was able to take some awesome pictures of the dolphins jumping and playing. I am going to highly recommend this property to my family and friends and to anyone reading this review wondering if they should book this unit or not.... trust me... you will not be disappointed! Thank you Dana for sharing your beautiful place with us. The Sprowles Family Campbellsville, Kentucky "Go Big Blue"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have rented a lot of condos over the years but this one was by far the nicest! Not only the decor but the little things that are usually not furnished, such as spices, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, etc. Early each morning I would sit on the balcony and watch the family of foxes that live in the area. The last day there we went to the Pass instead of going over to the beach. That was the nicest day we had - I loved it down there. Thanks Dana for sharing your condo!Did you find this review helpful? My 3 girlfriends and I took a weekend trip to Gulf Shores and were so lucky to have found such an AMAZING condo! The location was perfect and central to everything- great restaurants, shopping, local bars, and the beach! Upon our arrival we were in total awe with how beautiful and spacious the condo was. The WALL of windows and huge balcony made waking up each morning so wonderful. In addition to being such a stunning place, what really made it stand out were the details...The condo was equipped with Netflix, Pandora, free Wi-Fi, a rolling cart and beach chairs, and a bin FULL of toys for the kids. They really thought of EVERYTHING. By far, the best condo I've ever stayed in...highly recommended!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I grew up in the Pensacola area (next town to the east) and had a love for the beach and being on the water, and there is nowhere I'd rather be! I grew up fishing these waters and enjoying every aspect of these beaches, including being a lifeguard! I married a New Yorker, and it only took ONE visit to the panhandle beaches for him to fall - hook, line and sinker - for the stunning beaches and the laid-back attitude that goes with it! We visit our condo at least eight times a year, and know the area very well.
Why the Owner Chose Sanibel:
Gulf Shores is is the quintessential beach town - still quaint - yet has everything you need from a beach town for a great vacation! We grew tired of the traffic and hustle and bustle in Destin and other beach areas. Most importantly, we chose Gulf Shores for the sugar white sands, crystal clear water, and plenty to do (or NOT do). The location of this condo just can't be beat: close to everything, but just out of the fray of any traffic.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Fishing in the Pass or in Little Lagoon behind the condo, walking to Bahama Bob's for happy hour or dinner, being able to take a jog down West Beach without fear of being run over! I also love the super fast wi-fi for my laptop on a rainy day. The views of BOTH the Gulf AND Little Lagoon are simply gorgeous!
