Great Spring Break Getaway!!

This was the Spring Break we have ever had!! We brought 3 teenagers with us and the bedroom with the bunkbeds was perfect for them. The girls had plenty of "get ready" space and loved the bunks! It was also a short walk for them to the beach. They took advantage of the cart and beach chairs that was provided. They were able to take all of their stuff without any problems. They were able to go over to the beach without adults (ages 16-18) and I could keep an eye on them from the dining room table, where I was working. The couches are the most comfortable ever! I took several naps on them :) It was awesome having the Netflix available to watch the instant downloads. We used it alot to watch movies and old tv shows. The kids were able to stay up late playing cards in the living room floor because there was plenty of room. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in, but when we decided to go out, the restaurants were just a short drive away. Dana also provided a great list of restaurants with descriptions as well as a list of activities in the area. We definitely plan to visit again. We hated to leave!! It was great!

Me and 5 of my friends are graduating in May from nursing school and decided we wanted to celebrate the end of nursing school with a vacation to re-energize for the last 8 weeks of class. I can not say enough positives about the condo and the ease of renting from Dana. We each had a great time and we all plan on vacationing again at this condo. If you are planning on staying in Gulf Shores you should really give Dana a call. Even though the condo was located across the highway from the ocean, the condo is high enough that the view is unobstructed that you don't miss a thing. You will not be disappointed, I was sold from the moment I opened the condo door.

My husband and I spent the month of February in this beautifully decorated, clean, and well-maintained condo. The on-line photos just don't do it justice! We felt welcome and at home and had everything we needed for our stay. Dana called to check on us after we arrived, this being a really nice and personal touch, and making us feel very welcome. The view from the 16th floor is truly breathtaking, We espciallly enjoyed the balcony, sitting in the warm sunshine and watching the dolphins play, straight in front of us! During this trip we we discovered and visited the Gulf Islands National Seashore several times and really loved it. The islands are truly awesome and not to be missed, but then you just can't beat the beautiful white sugary beaches of Alabama and Florida! We did enjoy the Mardi Gras parades, they were fun. Our only disappointment this trip, the Blue Angels were gone, and would not return until March 21. Maybe next time. We really enjoyed the restaurants, our favorite is still Bahama Bob's. We also liked DeSoto House, Doc's, King Neptune's, Cosmos, and others. Loved the Cafe Beignets too! We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends and family. You will not be disappointed. We love Gulf Shores and we will return!

Beautiful condo for a blissful beach getaway!

This was a last minute getaway for our little trio - my husband and me and our soon-to-be 6 year old son. He wanted a beach trip for his birthday but New Year's was the closest weekend to the big day we could both get off work - so we booked it just two days in advance. Dana could not have been more helpful and accommodating - not only responding to every question immediately, but even going over and beyond, offering optimal arrival and departure times for us to make the most of our 3-day booking :-) And the condo itself? Well, while the pictures are lovely, they simply don't do it justice - it's absolutely gorgeous! The view, decor, decorator colors and textures, quality furnishings and kitchen gear are beyond anything we've ever had in a mid-priced beach condo! Our little boy loved the bunk beds, our king was firmer than what we're used to but very comfortable, and we all enjoyed the extra space of such a roomy living area. We even got to experience some unplanned surreal fun thanks to the Steven King-esque mist that blanketed us our first 24 hours! Playing on the beach in the fog, our little boy got a huge kick out of sneaking up on a flock of seagulls - they didn't fly until he was right in the middle of them! I sure hope the picture turns out! We ate at the Original Oyster House, the Pancake House at Best Western, and at Lambert's in Foley, hung out a while at The Hangout (our little guy loved the sand hill), shopped at the outlets, and of course spent as much time as was comfortable on the beach (it IS January :-). But I think our favorite moments were snuggling together in the condo, playing games, watching movies, sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise and just enjoying our family time. And as another guest commented, the little gift Dana left for us was a sweet and special touch - what a delightful, pretty and practical reminder of our wonderful weekend! We hope to be back soon!!

Absolutely wonderful.....the pictures online do not do justice for the incredible view. Open the sliders and you can hear the waves crashing throughout the entire condo. Everything was very clean and high-end. We came down for the New Year's weekend to celebrate our son's birthday and were not disappointed. This is one place that we will stay in again!

We've been coming to Gulf Shores for years and this was the first time we'd ever stayed @ this condo, I must say this was the nicest, cleanest, spacious condo we've ever stayed in!! And the view from the 30ft glass over looking the Gulf is to die for!! Dana has gone all out with her condo. She's thought of everything.... books, games, beach toys and she even left us a really nice gift upon our arrival, which I might add is the FIRST time any condo owner has done that AND she even gave us her cell number incase we needed anything, she also called to check on us and see if we needed anything! We were VERY impressed! She gave us a very nice packet with places to visit, restaurants, acitvites, even ideas for rainy days (which we didn't have YEAH!) This was one of our best vacations ever, and Dana and her condo were a big part of that! I'd absolutely stay here again! Thank you Dana for everything and for sharing your beautiful condo with us. We came for our daughters 8th birthday and it was also our first family vacation. We had a blast and loved the condo! Very close to the beach and so many things to do near by. We loved the small zoo, the dolphin cruise, and the Blue Angels practice! All of Dana's recommendations were awesome. The weather forecast wasn't the greatest, but it turned out to be perfect. I wish we would have visited the pass earlier than we did because it was so perfect for our 15 month old. We can't wait to visit again!

My family had an amazing experience on our vacation. Dana was very knowledgeable about all areas and eager to meet all of our needs! Guests feel at home! This was our first trip to Gulf Shores, and we are definitely going back! The location is secure and VERY convenient to the central shopping and restaurant area! The view was incredible, and the decor and cleanliness of the condo was outstanding!! It was well stocked with everything needed for a meal and made us feel at home! GREAT VACATION AT SANIBEL GULF SHORES

I can't say enough about this condo, its a perfect getaway. The 2 large bathrooms are outstanding, usually in previous condo's we have stayed at the bathroom and showers were on the small side, NOT HERE. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms, kitchen and living room. This unit is on the 14th floor which is great because you get the full effect of the amazing Gulf view thru the 30 feet of the glass balcony. I was concerned at first on crossing the road to the beach access, but my concerns were nothing. The short walk to the beach was fine and safe, the road down on this end has very low traffic. My 5 year old granddaughter also loved the pool, she would go from the small kiddie pool which is only 2 feet deep back to the main pool which is only 3.5 feet at the deepest end. Dana has the whole reservation process very organized and easy . Thank you Dana !!

This is our second visit to one of Dana's condos and we enjoyed it as it much as the first time. We had a problem with the air on arrival, but the repair folks were very speedy and efficient. Stayed here May 14-21. Renting this condo was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The views were absolutely breathtaking and the accommodations luxurious. My bed slept like a dream, and my other guests that slept in the bunk bed room said that they too slept like a dream. The kitchen is fully equipped so we had everything at our fingertips to cook a 4-course meal. My family is now going to make this an annual trip. We cannot wait to stay here again (same time next year).

Since we spend so much time at our condos - sleeping in that same bed you may sleep in - we make purchases based on what we would enjoy...so YES, we spend the extra on Simmons BeautyRest mattresses, amongst many other high-end furnishings. Finely Managed

You cannot go wrong this condo. It has been recently remodeled. All of the interior space is top notch from the living room furniture to the comfy beds to the granite counter tops in the kitchen. Also, Dana manages the condo better than anyone I've come across. She gives you her cell and responds to texts and calls promptly. Better than that...you don't have to text her because everything is in working order and checklists abound giving clear instructions as to how to use everything. Also, the beach cart and equipment was great for people like us who don't own such paraphernalia. We would just load up the cart and push it across the street to the beach each day without having to purchase such equipment or wag our stuff like pack mules. The AC works well, the place is very clean...you will not feel like you got ripped off upon leaving. Although the condo is across the street from the beach, the view and sounds of the ocean are still great. I would have preferred that the hot tub/bath have been in the master bedroom as opposed to the kids room. It didn't stop me from using it every night, however. Also, note that neither bedroom has a window opening up to the beach side. I have been ripped off before at condos that were "managed" by owners who didn't care whether your stay went well or not. Nor did they care that their condo was about 20 years out of date. Dana and her condos are on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Our family was just looking for a relaxing vacation near the ocean and that's exactly what we got. The condo is beautifully decorated in the colors of the ocean with a fabulous view. You feel like you are right on the ocean. The beach access is conveniently located right across the street or you can enjoy the pool. We loved cooking while looking at the ocean and also enjoyed using the grill downstairs. Dana was very accessible and the whole experience was truly a pleasure. Would definitely go back!

Just what we were looking for

This was our first"snow bird" attempt, and we wanted a nice walking beach, and a view of the ocean where we could hear the surf. Mission accomplished. We walked every day on the beautiful white sand beach, most days barefoot letting the water splash over our feet. Sure beat the cold weather and snow in Minnesota. Dana's condo was the greatest. Beautifully decorated and clean. Looked just like it did in the pictures. Food was the best whether we ate out at the many places in Gulf Shores, or fixed a meal of seafood from "Gulf Shores Seafood", in the well equiped kitchen. The dolphin tour with "Cold Mil II"was amazing. I am sure we will be back. Etta & Ron Mankato, MN

Loved this condo! Everything it was advertised to be. The 30' wall of windows was amazing. Sunrise to the left (if you get out of bed to see it...I did) Sunset to the right...wonderful. loved staying at this sanibel unit! great location, easy walk to the beach. decor was fabulous & i even want to find some of the furniture to put in my own home. i went to gulf shores with a wide age range of ladies, from 18 to 70 years old. we all agreed that this place would be on our need-to-return list. we all loved it! thanks dana for making our vacation so nice! we felt like spoiled rotten divas :)

I’ve been vacationing in Gulf Shores for over 25 years and have stayed in many different condos. I wasn’t sure about being across the street from the beach or about being on the 16th floor as I usually prefer the smaller complexes on the beach side. I can tell you, none of that is a problem!!! The beach access is quick and easy with outdoor showers on the beach side as well as outside the Sanibel complex. The provided beach cart really helped getting everything to the beach. These condos have the most spectacular view whether you are inside the condo or on the balcony. I’m convinced it’s the best view in Gulf Shores. I’m hooked now. There is no way I’d consider staying anywhere else. And if the condo itself doesn’t convince you, working with Dana will. She went out of her way to answer any questions we had. When we were unsure about the oil situation and whether to come, she sent pictures and updates and was so understanding . She was very responsive whether I contacted her by phone, email, or even by text messages. The entire process was so easy and exactly as promised ! We had 5 people in our party and we had friends staying in Dana’s other condo (Sanibel 1203). A couple of times , we all cooked and ate together and there was PLENTY of room. It never felt crowded. I think the biggest problem anyone might have would be deciding between the two condos. They are both fantastic ! And by the way, the oil spill did not affect our stay. Gulf Shores is still beautiful and we had more of a problem a couple of days with seaweed than we did with oil. We absolutely had the time of our lives. We spent most of our time on the beach or on the 30’ balcony. We ate wonderful seafood at Cosmos, Bahama Bob’s, and the Shrimp Basket. Had wonderful pizza from Old World Bakery, bought and cooked red snapper from Billy’s Seafood, shopped at the outlet mall, and best of all, played with baby Bengal tigers (AMAZING experience), wolf pups, kangaroos, and lemurs at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. We are already looking forward to next year !!!!!

We had a great time staying here in this condo. It was our 1st time in Gulf Shores and 1st time staying at a condo vs a hotel. We loved it all! This condo is so neatly decorated and stylish! Packed with just about everything you need too! Just a short walk to the beach (loved the provided beach cart too!) and the pool is very nice. My husband and I as well as our son had a blast at both. The views are great. I would definately recommend this condo to others. Amentities were great. The pictures and description are spot on! Very clean. Dawn was excellant at providing us with ample restaurants to visit and places to check out! Loved Desoto's and LuLu's and all the shops. The zoo was small but nice. Fort Morgan was really cool to see as well.

This is our first attempt at being "Snow Birds" and it has been a great experience. We stayed Jan and Feb and although the weather was cooler than normal we found lots to do. The condo is terrific and Dana has been great to work with. The view from the 30 foot balcony is beautiful. We had many moments of sitting on the balcony and watching dolphins and people fishing and just walking the beach. We are looking forward to next year and would highly recommend this condo or any of "The Flynn's" condo here at Sanibel. We met a lot of nice people here when we went to the Meet and Greet get together and then we went on Feb 28th and had appetizers and drinks and visted with everyone to hear stories of their stay here at Sanibel and everyone was very positive. From the bedroom window you overlook the lagoon, (even though it looks as large as a bay) and you have full length glass over looking the gulf with a breath taking view. We are from nearby Pensacola, FL but we certainly hope to return again for a breath of heaven. :)

We are a family of five, 2 grown ups, 5 & 7 year old and a 5 month old baby. Staying at Dana's condo had all the comforts of home along with great style. We spent most of our time on the beach, which is a VERY short walk across the little street. Using the new beach cart that was provided for us sure made it easy for our family. My kids enjoyed the bunk beds and we all slept great. It's SO quiet. We ate most of our meals on the balcony and loved all the flat screen TV's for when we needed down time. Dana made the entire process so easy. Check out wasn't a big deal either. Dana was very forgiving when I forgot to call the cleaning crew upon leaving. LOVED our stay and you will too!

We had a great time and enjoyed the condo. It is beautiful with plenty of room and is decorated so nice. It was so comfortable. We loved the large deck and chairs, and because it was a little rainy, we did spend a lot of time out there just enjoying the sights and sound of the ocean. Would definitely rent it again. Thanks so much! The best food -- Mikee's Oyster House. Loved the grilled shrimp. But then every where we ate was good!

Dana is a most gracious host. Everything is just as she promised - WONDERFUL!! She makes you fell right at home. There is so much to see, do, and eat in the Gulf Shores area. A lesson we learned during the peak season is that the first day you arrive, start calling to make reservations for deep sea fishing and parasailing. The atmosphere on the west end of the beach where the condo is located is so laid-back and family-friendly. It is not far down to the party/night-life if that is what you are seeking. Can't wait to go back next year.

I had decided to take my daughter, 14, and a few of her friends on a beach trip, but wanted to make it afforable but luscious. I couldn't have picked a better place. The bunkbed room along with its own bathroom easily accommodated all 4 teenage girls with all their stuff. I shared the king size bed with another Mom, Jackie, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen is beautiful! The view priceless! The trip with gas, groceries, dining out and condo totaled $2000.00. And we came from St. Louis. I loves that I could call Dana, the owner, at any time and ask questions. Thank you again Dana for making my first Mother, Daughter trip very memorable.

My parents sister and I just returned from a delightful family getaway . The condo was bright and cheerful. We felt on top of the world with views of the Gulf and Lagoon that went on forever. We enjoyed the fact that we were at the residential end of the beach without the commercial activity yet it was easily accessible to as much activity as you might desire. Dana (condo owner) was a delight to work with.

Ever have that vacation come together JUST when you need it the most? You're at the cracking point, but you take yourself on a break just in time? That's what this weekend was for us, and Dana's condo was such a scrumptious setting. Absolutely everything was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was so nice, the weather was perfect, and we could feel the stress dropping away moment by moment. Pelicans swooped by as we sat on the balcony, enjoying the view. We watched a group set up for a wedding on the beach, which was fun! The Lagoon Pass was everything you described. Our daughter was enthralled. Egrets walked within 20 feet of us, seagulls left us alone (!), and there were shells all over the place to collect. We will be back, definitely. Thanks again for everything - the bottle of wine was appreciated!

Awesome Condo and just as described. Tons of space and well stocked. The kids enjoyed the pool and the walk to the beach is quick and easy. The owner was easy to get in touch with and handled the transaction quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend and we will be back soon.

Loved the stay in Gulf Shores! It was our second time to visit this condo and it has everything to offer. Complete kitchen, entertainment, and bath amenities. We loved the addition of the outdoor grills on the property. The access to the beach is the best! I would recommend this to all my friends as a great casual get away.

Although it was a bit on the hot side the week we spent in Gulf Shores (one day the temp reached 102 with very high humidity) we really enjoyed our first stay in Gulf Shores. I would definitely consider a trip to this town again. Having said that, condo 1605 at Sanibel was awesome. After a long day at the beach (and a few sightseeing excursions), it was nice to return to our condo to wind down and get some much needed rest. Everything you see in the pictures is accurate (quality furnishings, tasteful decorating, etc.).

The views from this condo are spectacular. The condo is represented very accurately from the pictures listed on the website. This is truly a home away from home atmosphere. The owner has everything imagineable that you would need. There are lots of toys, boards, floats, etc for children and adults to use at the beach. The beach is a brief walk from the condo and the owner even provides 2 beach chairs for your use. The pool is only 3 1/2 foot deep but will be nice for families with smaller children. There are lots of things to do in the area within 5-30 miles of the condo. We enjoyed playing putt-putt at the Pirate place across from The Track and my daughters and their friends enjoyed riding jet skis and the Skycoaster at The Track. My husband and I took a short drive to Pensacola to visit the Naval Air Museum. Very nice museum by the way. We also enjoyed dinner at Lamberts and pizza at Mellow Mushroom. I highly recommend staying at this condo if you are visiting Gulf Shores. The owner was extremely easy to work with and very helpful with any questions I had.

You are surrounded by beauty inside and out. There were 7 in our party. (3 adults, 2 teenagers and 10/11 yeard olds) We were all very comfortable. The teenagers slept on the couch and loved it. Ample bathroom space for everone. The kitchen was fully furninshed and had lots of extras. I loved the washer/dryer combo. I washed our clothes every night which made the trip home much easier. The beds were so comfortable...what little time we spent in them, you can hardly come in off the balcony!!!! Wal-Mart was our best friend! (Aprox. a 10 minute drive) We bought lots of snacks and groceries. We didn't want the hassle of getting dressed to go out to eat. We literally needed to go home to rest! We were up to catch the sunrise and dolphin show every morning, playing on the beach and skim boarding all day, fishing and catching hermit crabs in the lagoon in the evenings, and chasing crabs on the beach til well after midnight....we were exhausted, in a wonderful way! Great family vacation! We had some trouble with the locks but the owner was only a phone call away and very attentive. There were some elevator troubles (we were worried....being on the 16th floor) but they had it fixed quickly. We drove down the beach and looked at all the houses for rent and I mentioned renting one of them next time to be directly on the beach (not across the street) but the kids were adamit....they definitely want to stay in Sanibel 1605 the next time!!!! There was also a really bad storm that came through on our third night. We were told it packed 65 mph wind. We were completely unaware. We never heard a thing. I have already recommened this to friends and will continue to do so. You will not be disappointed if you stay here! The little things make all the difference. My 10 year old daughters favorite thing was the blender, (she made "margarittas") My 11 year old loved the garbage disposal, my husband LOVED the stereo in the living area, my mom loved the painting over the sofa, and my son loved the fishing poles!!!! "

we stayed here in april of 08....it was the most comfortable vacation ive ever had........we didnt want to leave...i didnt even want to leave the room, for anything...even the beach...lol......owner was the nicest renter ive ever dealt with and i wouldnt consider staying anywhere else when i revisit gulf shores

Just spent the weekend at Sanibel 1605 and it was absolutely fantastic! All that the owner promised and more. Excellent furnishings with all the comforts of home, even a snuggly throw on the comfortable leather sofa to cover up with! Condo was extremely clean and came with a fully equipped kitchen. Luxurious towels and linens made us feel like we were in 5 star hotel! The 30ft. wall of floor to ceiling windows makes for an incredible view of the beach. Location is great, close to everything. Very short walk across the street to the beach. Plenty of good restaurants nearby to choose from. Some of our favorites: Original Oyster House and Wolf Bay Lodge. Dana is eager to please and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend renting this condo!
