Nothing is more relaxing and fun than catching your own dinner! During the boat tours, you can see spectacular views of the cliffs that reach into the Pacific. You can also practice "rock fishing" (Fishing from the cliffs). leaving behind modern technology and feeling the adventure that our ancestors enjoyed. The cliffs of this unique property offer an incredible spectacle, where the fury of the sea reaches the peace and tranquility of the land, a sensation that is rarely felt due to our chaotic and modern lifestyles.
The clear water of Playas Paraiso are the perfect setting to go snorkeling or scuba diving. The warm waters attract a great variety of sea life, offering a beautiful underwater landscape. Walking around the property through narrow paths offers an agreeable encounter with nature and the species that inhabit it, definitely the best way to explore the wonders that Playas Paraiso has to offer.

My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving week. The beach here is truly perfect. Calm waters and fine sand. Juan and his staff were amazing and helped us with everything we needed. We loved just laying on the lounge chairs and reading in between swims in the ocean and eating the great food. Also loved taking the kayaks out too! Truly relaxing vacation- we loved it.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

If you are looking for rustic serene relaxation, you can do no better than Playas. It's private, it's pristine, it's beautiful. The food is delicious, the service was incredible and the hosts are charming, worldly and thoughtful. We brought our small children and they were so happy, looking for seaglass, riding on the kayaks and swimming (for the first time!) in the placid bay. We hope to return soon!

After careful research of the Costa Alegre region, our find of the trip was Playa Paraisio. Juan and his staff were superb hosts, the setting was stunning, and the privacy hard to beat anywhere. As an owner of a lodge in Alaska, I know the difficulities faced in running a remote lodge such as this. The attention to detail is as good as anywhere I've seen. An additional positive feature for us was the interaction with other guests from Mexico and France. It was great to have dinner conversations on the veranda about events in other parts of the world. I can recommend this facility to anyone. In fact, I would like to have Juan come up to Alaska and give a few lessons in hospitality to the staff at our high end lodge.
