Completely remodeled Historic Craftsman in the heart of downtown Bend. "Lava Flo" is directly across the street from the McMenamins Old St. Francis School (which includes brewpubs, movie theater, Turkish baths) and in between to the Old Catholic Church and Montessori School.
It is an ideal setting for enjoying downtown, walking to restaurants, shops and the Deschutes River. The house has a private, fenced yard with tiered lava rock walls, with a hot tub and incredible amounts of space for entertaining or relaxing.
Inside, there are mountain views of Mt. Bachelor front bedroom. The full bathroom has a cast iron bathtub with vintage-inspired ceramic tile. There are original old-growth fir floors throughout, and environmentally-friendly marmoleum in the large kitchen. Flo oozes vintage charm and is furnished with new mid-century modern and machine-age vintage furniture.
All rentals include free passes to our neighbors, the McMenamins Old St. Francis soaking pools and Movie Theatre. We provide towels and instructions.
We use only environmentally friendly cleaning materials on the house and the bedding. We provide Seventh Generation products including hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, and individually sized Essential Organics bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. We welcome dogs and have equipped the homes with useful information for enjoying Central Oregon with or without a four-legged companion. |
Pet Friendly: There is a fully enclosed yard equipped with biodegradable clean-up bags. This yard is not ideal for escape-prone dogs you intend to leave unsupervised as on two sides it is partially lava rock walls (that a smaller beagle-like dog could easily climb). That said, it provides containment for most dogs. Feel free to inquire in greater detail and we have more pictures.
