My family and I just sent a wonderful winter weekend at this beautiful chalet, celebrating my daughter's birthday. Picture does this home no justice. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. It was home away from home. The house was well equip with everything you would need and more. The home is beautiful, the rental price is beautiful and Phil, the home owner has a beautiful demeanor. This was the best deal I came across. Oh yeah, did I mention the price is beautiful.

We stayed here for a few days after Christmas to go skiing. This home is very clean, beautiful, spacious and well-maintained. The family room was comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable as well. Our family enjoyed sitting by the fire, playing board games and catching up on our favorite TV series after a day of skiing. The owner was great, made us feel welcome and at home in his e-mails to us. The pictures in the listing are accurate. I would definitely recommend this home to others. We are planning to come back in the spring/summer to enjoy everything this Big Bass Lake community has to offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Phil was very accomodating to our wishes. This was a beautiful home. Very well kept and immaculate. Beds are comfortable, plenty of blankets and pillows to use. Bathrooms are modern with good water pressure. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils for any kind of meal. Living area is also comfortable with plenty of seating and flat screen tv adds to ambience. Fireplace kept us warm. The house has internet which was a necessity for work purposes. This location is across the street from the lake with excellent views. A family of deer moved past this house around the same time every night. A small flock of Wild Turkeys also came through the property as well as some raccoons. Our family utilized the development's snow tubing/sledding hill (small hill that you need to walk up,but perfect for smaller kids) and indoor pool (beautiful facility, but water was a bit too cold for us). Camelback , Casino and Outlets nearby for other entertainment and shopping. Grocery store is about 15 min away (Bill's Shop Rite). We want to rent this property again in the summer and would recommend it for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Myself , my husband, my 6 year old daughter and another couple with a child stayed in this chalet for a weekend. The chalet is absolutely lovely. The Master bedroom upstairs was perfect for the children with the attached bathroom and television. The master was large enough for my daughter to spread her blanket out with her toys to play on the floor. Large enough to put a play pen in the room if you are traveling with an infant. There were deer and turkey in the yard and my daughter and husband were elated. We enjoyed snow tubing at nearby Camelback, about a 20 minute drive. My daughter enjoyed the indoor pool at the center. We are seriousy considering making this a yearly vacation spot for the winter. The fireplace was nice to cozy up to and to take those vacation photos. Although there was a little confusion as to where were going at first....we worked through it with a little direction. We ate at O'Donnells Food & Spirits which the food was excellent. Not enough tables to go around but worth it. Don't look for The Station House to be open in the winter, although their website says the Funstation is only closed and their telephone tells you their hours...They are not open. Found out the hard way. We found an italian joint, but cannot remember the name. No biggie, no children allowed in the lounge. It looked to be a very cozy sitting with a huge fireplace and nice bar. Oh well,, the husband enjoyed it to watch the game. All in all a great vacation. Thanks Phil.

We have been staying in this house during labor day weekend and I say that it was best experience we ever had in poconos. House is very nice and clean, lake just steps away and community itself is very nice and secure. Florida room was a big plus for us as well as decent grill on the deck outside. We also found everything we were looking for from plates and forks to washer and dryer. Overall, we had a great time there! Many thanks to the owner Phil who was very helpful and responsive throughout the rental process. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Our family enjoyed five August days at this property. It's a great place for relaxing or for exploring the Poconos. It's only steps to the lake and canoe across the road. Our younger daughter was excited by all the fish she caught from the dock and everyone enjoyed watching the deer in the yard. The owner was very responsive and accomodating. The listing photos are accurrate. The two downstairs bedrooms are identical, which was great for our girls. We would love to find time to return again in the fall. Much thanks to the owners.

The owners are very friendly and understanding. I contacted them via e-mail a few short days before I hoped to rent. I received an e-mail response within hours. I had difficulty navigating the paypal website and they provided me with step by step instructions. The house itself is wonderful. The window fascade draws in great natural light and it so beautiful with the surrouding snow and trees. Our group consisted of three couples and the house was more than enough to accommodate us. The house warmed up very quickly and the fireplace made a great place to warm our toes! We all had a great time and I would definately recommend this property to anyone who is interested in renting in the Poconos. It is a very easy drive to all of the mountains and your family and friends will have a much better time snuggled up in this house rather than a dingy hotel!

Our family just spent four days here between Christmas and New Year. We had a great time! The home was perfect for our family. Everything was clean, comfortable and warm! The community is very nice and quiet. We really liked the large open family room and kitchen area. It was great for family meals and spending time together. The owner was great to work with and made everything easy! We'd love to come back in the summer, it must be beautiful! We had a great time skiing, shopping and relaxing! We'd love to come back anytime!

We just completed a week's stay at this lovely chalet home at Big Bass. From the first contact, the owners have been wonderful to deal with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.......the house itself proved to be very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We had a rainy day or two during our stay which posed no problem at all as The Crossings outlet center and Mt. Airy Casino are but a short distance away. All in all, a very positive experience. We would do it again.

We stayed in this house for a week with relatives traveling from the UK. We wanted a clean modern house as we have a baby boy. This house was ideal, it was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a very pleasant week's stay. The deck is huge and great for relaxing and grilling. The house is very quiet and peaceful. The owners were very easy to deal with and incredibly helpful when we had a problem with the canoe. Within 30 mins of a phonecall they had solved the problem we had. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Our family of three stayed in this beautiful Chalet from the 31st of December until the 4th of January. It was a positive experience from the very first contact with the owners, Phil and Annette. They are extremely nice and accommodating people. The house was new very clean and inviting. It had everything we needed including wireless internet. It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate the New Year by the fireplace. Phil and Annette were extremely kind to put up a Christmas tree for us. We really appreciated it. The area is great, very scenic even in the winter; I can only imagine how beautiful it is in summer. We brought our ski gear and were very happy to find out that there are quite a few slopes around to choose from. On the 2nd of January when my husband had to drive back to his office in NYC my daughter and I went shopping to The Crossings Premium Outlets just a short drive away from the house. We had a wonderful time. We thank Phil and Annette for making our stay in PA so enjoyable. We would be happy to come back and highly recommend The Chalet to everybody who plans to visit the area.

Upon entry to Big Bass Lake, the house is in a gated community with a 24 hour guard. Very secure but inviting. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. The house is brand new with all the essentials. The week was very hot so the central a/c was great. We barbecued a few times on the spacious deck while watching deer and turkeys trot by. There are a few good restaurants 20 minutes in Mt Pocono, and there is a Shop Rite for everything you need. The house is equipped w/ 2 tv's and dvd players. The clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and basketball courts were just a short drive, and not crowded at all. They have a lot of acivities for the children, so look at the schedules. The late evening walks were so peaceful and you really appreciate nature. Lake Larsen where the canoe was stored was used a few times but my children also enjoyed swimming in the lake. The house is centrally located near golf courses, and attractions. My family highly recommends this property for your next vacation. It is a modern house in the woods. We hope you will have as much fun as we did..........

As frequent renters of houses in the Poconos, this was by far our best experience. The house is in immaculate condition and extremely well cleaned. The central air conditioning made all the difference. We cooked often and our family kept commenting that this house had everything as we needed and found things readily at hand. My husband was able to continue conducting business thanks to the free internet access. We used everything the rental had to offer - the screened in "Animal Crossing" room where you can sit, relax and watch the wildlife, the canoe, the indoor, outdoor and lake for swimming and fishing. The community itself was impressively well run & friendly with scheduled activities, aggressively proactive lifeguards, and residents who always wave hello as you pass. On a rainy day, we had the option of indoor pool or clubhouse activities. The owners were easy and expedient to deal with. I would definitely rent here again. You should too!
